Chapter 176 - The Secret Technique of a Thousand Years

Chapter 176: The Secret Technique of a Thousand Years

Naruto dashed toward Kakashi, summoning dozens of shadow clones with his Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu. The battlefield quickly swarmed with duplicates attacking from all directions.

But Kakashi didn't even flinch.

On the other side, Sakura launched a powerful punch at him, hoping to land a decisive blow—but her attack was effortlessly nullified. Kakashi stood firmly, completely unharmed.

"Naruto! Help me pin him down. If I can just land this punch, it'll be over!" Sakura called out with confidence blazing in her voice.

"Oh? Are you sure about that, Sakura?" Kakashi asked casually, his tone unshaken.

"Of course I am!" she shouted back, fully believing in her raw strength.

Sakura was convinced that the famed Copy Ninja had a weakness in close-quarters combat. After all, wasn't Kakashi more known for ninjutsu and strategy than Taijutsu?

"Sakura Impact!"

She drove her fist forward with full force. Kakashi didn't even attempt to dodge.

"Is it over already?" Jiraiya muttered from the distance, watching intently.

But then—

Kakashi calmly raised a single hand and caught Sakura's punch directly.

A shockwave erupted from the impact, shattering trees around them. Yet Kakashi didn't budge an inch. His expression remained calm—completely unreadable.

"No way…" Sakura's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Oh? Didn't you know?" Kakashi said calmly. "I didn't just inherit the Hatake Sword Style from my father. I also trained under my brother's fighting method. His techniques placed enormous strain on the body… but he could generate cutting wind with a mere swing—even without using chakra."

"What?! No chakra? That's impossible!" Sakura protested, unable to accept what she'd just heard.

Even Rock Lee and Might Guy needed chakra to enhance their physical strikes. Was Kakashi implying he'd surpassed that?

"You don't believe me?" Kakashi said, pulling out a small knife.

It wasn't a kunai. It wasn't even a proper short sword. It looked like… a fruit knife.

Sakura blinked. Even Naruto looked confused.

"A tiny knife like that?" Jiraiya scoffed. "Is he underestimating them?"

Yusuke, watching from afar, chuckled. "Oh? He brought that knife? Looks like Naruto and Sakura are in for a lesson."

"You don't get it, Jiraiya," Tsunade said, shaking her head. "For someone like Kakashi, having a weapon—even a small one—makes all the difference."

It all started when Kakashi once confessed to Yusuke that he'd hit a wall with his kenjutsu training.

Yusuke offered a unique solution: a real fight.

But to avoid overwhelming Kakashi, Yusuke didn't use his signature black blade, Enma, or even any of his Armament Haki. Instead, he picked up the dullest fruit knife lying around.

At first, Kakashi was insulted. He poured his full skill into their duel—but still got completely demolished. Even after pushing himself past his limits, he couldn't force Yusuke to activate Haki.

From that day on, Kakashi custom-ordered a small knife just like that one. He used it for training—and for humbling cocky kids.

Now, gripping that same knife, Kakashi stepped forward.

"Don't worry. I won't be using chakra," he said calmly. Then, with a flick of his wrist, he sliced the air.

A gust of wind exploded from the blade and wiped out every single one of Naruto's clones in an instant.

Everyone watching froze.

"That little knife… did that?" Jiraiya murmured, stunned.

"He really didn't use any chakra…" Sakura whispered, her hands trembling.

"…This guy," Yusuke muttered with a dry laugh. "Still has the weirdest taste."

"Well, someone rubbed off on him," Tsunade sighed.

"Hey, don't look at me," Yusuke replied, scratching his head with an awkward smile.

Suddenly, Naruto appeared behind Kakashi.

"Leaf Taijutsu Secret Technique—One Thousand Years of Death!"

Kakashi's eyes widened in horror.

"A taijutsu secret technique…?" Tsunade tilted her head. Naruto's face was dead serious.

"One Thousand Years of Death?" Shikamaru echoed in confusion.

The name sounded absurdly intimidating… but Sakura and Temari instantly blushed. Jiraiya just raised an eyebrow.

"This is bad," Kakashi muttered as he leapt high into the air to dodge.

"Aw, I missed…" Naruto grumbled, rubbing the back of his head.

"This idiot… Why would you shout the name of the move before using it?" Yusuke smacked his forehead.

"What kind of move is that? Even Kakashi panicked!" Tsunade asked.

"I've never heard of it before," Jiraiya said, frowning.

"I have," Yusuke smiled wryly. "It's an old move. A special secret technique."

"You taught him that?" Jiraiya gave Yusuke a suspicious look.

"Of course not! That move was invented by my dad. The full name is 'Konoha Secret Technique: One Thousand Years of Death,'" Yusuke explained with a straight face.

"Your father made that technique?!" Tsunade looked scandalized.

"Yep. That's why he earned the nickname… The Perverted Fang of Konoha."

Silence.

No one said a word.

"Anyway, watch carefully. Kakashi's going to counter," Yusuke said.

Kakashi swung his knife again, forcing Naruto backward. But Naruto jumped high into the air, forming a Rasengan in his palm and diving toward him.

Kakashi raised the blade to intercept.

Crack!

The little knife snapped.

Naruto's Rasengan struck Kakashi head-on—except the body vanished in smoke.

"A clone?!" Jiraiya shouted.

Suddenly, Kakashi appeared behind Naruto.

"Alright, Naruto. Now it's my turn. Let me show you what a real secret taijutsu technique looks like… One Thousand Years of Death!" he formed the Tiger seal and jabbed forward.

Naruto's eyes went wide, and he instinctively launched himself into the sky.

"You're still too soft, Naruto," Kakashi sighed, shaking his head.

But even that airborne Naruto was a clone!

From behind, the real Naruto appeared.

"Kakashi-sensei! This time you won't escape—One Thousand Years of Death!"

Kakashi immediately jumped away again. In mid-air, he performed a rapid set of hand signs.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

The jutsu was so fast, Naruto could barely track the motion.

A blazing fireball exploded toward him.

Sakura charged in from the flank, trying to land a punch, but Kakashi blocked her easily and vanished again.

"Damn it! What is that ridiculous move?!" Tsunade turned to glare at Yusuke.

"Don't look at me," Yusuke raised his hands. "That really was my dad's creation. He used to pull that stunt on Kakashi all the time when we were kids."

"That dirty old man! Ugh, the whole Hatake family is insane!" Tsunade groaned.

The crazier they looked, the more calculating they were inside.

"Aaachoo!"

Somewhere far away, Sakumo Hatake sneezed violently.

"Who's talking about me? I bet it's those two brats—Yusuke and Kakashi!"

"Hurry up, Sakumo! It's your turn!" shouted Shinku, his longtime shogi rival.

"Yeah, yeah. But you're still not gonna beat me. You've lost to me for decades now!" Sakumo laughed, dropping a piece onto the board with flair.

Back at the training field, Naruto and Sakura regrouped.

Then suddenly, someone stumbled out of the trees—covered in wounds and pierced by kunai.

"…Sasuke?" Naruto called out, eyes wide.
