Chapter 112 - Hollow Technique

Chapter 112 – Hollow Technique

"Yusuke, you can't be reckless about this," Yamanaka Inoichi said, his voice firm and serious. "If we handle it the wrong way, this won't just be a personal grudge anymore."

"Relax. Just leave it to me. It'll be fine," Yusuke replied nonchalantly, already turning his back toward the door. "If that's all, I'd like to get some rest."

As he disappeared from the room, Nara Shikaku rubbed his temple and sighed. "Man... at first, I thought this mission would be easy with him here. But I completely forgot what he's like at his core."

Inoichi nodded. "He is sociable, unlike most geniuses. But because of that, it's hard to predict what he'll do."

"I think Yusuke's a good kid," said Akimichi Chōza, shrugging as he sat lazily. "No need to overthink it. He is the 'White Shura', after all."

"Fair point," Shikaku agreed, nodding slowly. "With his strength, I doubt we need to worry about anyone's safety."

Inoichi frowned. "Shikaku... is he really as powerful as they say?"

"I've never seen him at full power," Shikaku admitted. "But Lord Hokage once told me that the gap between Yusuke and us is like a difference in dimensions. His speed alone apparently surpasses even Hokage-sama."

"Faster than Minato?" Inoichi's eyes widened in disbelief. "Does someone like that really exist?"

Shikaku's voice was calm. "I was there when they sparred. Saw it with my own eyes."

"Well, whatever," he continued, standing with a stretch. "Time for us to rest too. Oh right, I still need to buy some Kumogakure specialties before we head back. If I don't, I'll have a hard time explaining myself at home. Such a pain…"

Inoichi, watching his old friend act so unconcerned, decided to just trust in him… and in Yusuke.

Meanwhile, Yusuke had returned to his room and wasted no time activating his system.

"System. Begin fusion process with the Dark-Dark Fruit," he commanded. The Devil Fruit was a reward he'd received upon mastering Sage Mode.

[Commencing fusion process.]

A calm, mechanical voice responded from the system.

"So all I have to do is devour the Devil Fruit," Yusuke muttered to himself, a sly grin forming on his lips. "And I'll finally unlock the full potential of my Rinnegan."

[Ding—Dark-Dark Fruit fusion successful.]

"Perfect. Let's test it out."

He tapped into the power of the Door-Door Fruit and vanished from his room. Moments later, he reappeared in a secluded, empty field.

"Dark Hole."

The ground beneath him darkened instantly. A pitch-black void spread outward, swallowing everything in its path like a vortex to another dimension.

"Release."

A swirling tornado of shadow burst upward from his body, ejecting all the objects that had been previously absorbed. Surprisingly, the Dark-Dark Fruit turned out to be... rather handy for cleaning up trash.

"But honestly, this fruit's abilities aren't that dominant in this world," he thought to himself with a slight squint.

Then something clicked in his mind.

"Wait... the gravitational pull of this fruit—like a black hole... maybe I can use it to enhance that technique."

Excitement returned to his expression as he removed the black blindfold over his eyes. The resonance between the darkness of the Devil Fruit and his Rinnegan began to stir.

"Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue."

Channeling both the attractive force of the Rinnegan's Deva Path and the suction of the Dark-Dark Fruit, a swirling blue sphere started to form behind his back, spinning violently.

"Still not enough... The pull isn't at full potential yet," he muttered, pushing the fusion even further.

The orb grew larger, more stable.

"Its destructive power's decent. If I can push the gravity to a theoretical negative infinity, this could be amazing. But control is tricky... Way easier using the Quake-Quake Fruit."

"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red."

Utilizing the repulsive force of the Rinnegan, he forged a second orb—this time crimson red—radiating explosive outward energy from its core.

"And now... the peak of it all."

"Hollow Technique: Purple."

In this technique, Blue acted as a gravitational sink, swallowing everything around it like a mini black hole. Red, on the other hand, unleashed destructive power like a miniature supernova. The combination of the two formed an unstable mass that distorted space itself—a force capable of tearing open dimensions.

Even Yusuke, fully prepared, felt a nervous chill creep up his spine. Just recreating Blue and Red already pushed his concentration to the brink. Purple was on another level—volatile, unstable, and deadly.

"Alright... here goes nothing."

Two opposing energies began spiraling together, entwining like a double helix.

"Hollow Technique: Purple!"

With a swift motion, Yusuke released the fused energy.

A roaring vortex of darkness shot forward, devouring everything it touched—earth, rock, even air—leaving behind only empty void.

"Uh-oh…"

His eyes widened.

The power was too much. Even for him.

The blast was on an uninhabited island, but nearby landmasses could easily be caught in the crossfire.

"Damn it… This is bad."

Without wasting a second, he launched himself forward using the speed of the Glint-Glint Fruit to intercept the attack.

"Yasakani no Magatama!"

Thousands of light-infused projectiles shot from his hands.

But every single one vanished the moment they touched the spiraling void. Not even light could escape the gravity well. Worse, the attack distorted space, disabling even teleportation-based escape.

"This is seriously annoying... but wow—just as I expected from myself. I'm insanely strong," he muttered, forcing a wry grin.

Still, he knew if this went on, the civilian casualties would be catastrophic.

"Void Burst Collapse!"

A white light enveloped his body, forming a shield.

He compressed it—once, twice... seven times in total.

The light turned pitch black.

With a roar, he threw a full-force punch at the swirling mass of Purple.

Crack—BOOM!

The entire sky lit up in a cataclysmic explosion. The Hollow Technique was knocked back and fragmented in every direction, slicing through space and leaving dimensional tears in its wake.

If this had happened in broad daylight, it would've looked like the sky itself was breaking.

And then, it vanished—dissipated into the same void it had tried to create.

"Hahh... I'm completely drained," Yusuke exhaled, collapsing to one knee. "Didn't think it would take that much out of me."

He had to burn almost all of his chakra and energy reserves to cancel it out—and this was just the incomplete version. No external energy. No support system. Just raw fusion.

In terms of destructive capability, it might even rival the Quake-Quake Fruit... maybe surpass it in certain ways.

"Not bad… Not bad at all. Next up: recreating Infinity—that limitless barrier. Should be theoretically simple, but making it passive... that'll be the hard part."

He scratched his chin.

"Oh, right. Kenbunshoku Haki."

A faint clap echoed as he nodded to himself.

Kenbunshoku Haki, or Observation Haki, was technically passive. It didn't rely on sight but could warn him of incoming threats. Combined with his Rinnegan's ability to memorize patterns, it would be the perfect base for a spatial awareness shield.

"Looks like tonight's gonna be a long one," Yusuke murmured, eyes glowing with resolve.

The path to becoming untouchable continued.

The Next Morning

"Where is Hatake Yusuke!?" the Fourth Raikage shouted, his voice thunderous.

He barged into the Konoha team's quarters in Kumogakure, surrounded by elite shinobi.

"Raikage-sama," Nara Shikaku said, stepping forward calmly. "May I ask what this is about?"

"Call him out here. Your representative assaulted our shinobi. Kumogakure demands an explanation."

His voice held the weight of a storm, eyes narrowed like lightning ready to strike.
