Chapter 47 – The Battle Against Jiraiya (Part 1)
Time flew by in the blink of an eye. Months passed, and finally, the day came—Kurenai and her classmates were graduating from the Ninja Academy.
"Kakashi, did you prepare a gift for Rin?" Yusuke asked curiously, glancing at his little brother.
"Gift? What gift?" Kakashi blinked, genuinely confused.
"Today's her graduation ceremony," Yusuke replied flatly.
"I didn't prepare anything," Kakashi said, voice cool and disinterested.
Yusuke let out a long sigh. He didn't know what to give Kurenai either. If only he hadn't already given her the jewelry he bought earlier, that could've been perfect.
"…Ah right, I totally forgot about this," he mumbled to himself as he opened his backpack. He pulled out a unique item—a weapon he received from the system last month: Nami's Clima-Tact. While completely useless for his own combat style, it could be a great fit for Kurenai, who specialized in Genjutsu.

At the yakiniku restaurant—
"Congratulations on becoming full-fledged ninjas!" Yusuke raised his glass high in celebration.
"Hmph! You and Kakashi are already Chūnin," Obito grumbled with a pout.
"Kakashi! Yusuke! I swear I'll surpass you both someday! That's the power of youth!" Guy shouted dramatically, tears streaming down his face as he bit into a piece of meat.
Everyone laughed, eating and drinking together, their joy filling the room. The warmth of their smiles made Yusuke feel at peace.
"Yusuke~ Where's my gift?" Kurenai asked with a teasing tone, while Rin glanced toward Kakashi with a hopeful expression.
"Haha, don't worry. I've had it ready for a while," Yusuke replied casually.
He reached into his storage space and brought out the sleek, compact staff.
"This is for you," he said, handing her the Clima-Tact—an elegant, slender rod that shimmered subtly under the lights.
Kakashi, not to be outdone, presented a gleaming kunai—its edge polished to perfection.
"What the heck is that, Yusuke?" Obito squinted at the gift. "If Kakashi's giving her a kunai, that makes sense. But you… is that a massage stick or something?"
"Don't be ridiculous. This is called a Clima-Tact…" Yusuke began explaining its functions in detail—how it could manipulate temperature and pressure, create illusions with weather effects, and more.
"Amazing!" Guy said, eyes wide with admiration.
Everyone else was stunned, clearly impressed.
Kurenai clutched the gift with both hands, her eyes soft with joy. Honestly, even if it had been a regular stick, she would've cherished it. But this—this was something truly special.
"You bastard, Kakashi! Look what you gave Rin!" Obito whined, clearly jealous.
"Hmph. Idiot," Kakashi replied coldly.
"It's okay, Obito," Rin said gently. "I really like Kakashi's gift."
"Kakashi! Let's have a food battle!" Guy shouted, rising dramatically. "Let's see who can eat the most meat!"
Their lively antics brought laughter to the table. Only Asuma Sarutobi seemed a bit out of sorts, but after a deep breath, he let it go and joined the others. The evening ended on a high note, everyone heading home with full stomachs and happy hearts.

The next morning...
After breakfast, Yusuke strolled toward his training ground.
"Hatake Yusuke-sama. The Hokage has summoned you," said an ANBU member, one of the few who had previously witnessed Yusuke's overwhelming strength.
"Got it. Let's go," Yusuke replied calmly.
He considered using Air Door, but decided against it, choosing instead to walk with the ANBU.
Their pace was swift. Before long, they arrived at the council building. As Yusuke entered, he found Konoha's top brass already assembled—elders, clan leaders, even the heads of the Uchiha and Hyūga clans were present.
"Hokage-sama, may I ask what this is about?" Yusuke asked, unfazed.
Koharu Utatane, one of the village advisors, scowled at his laid-back attitude. She was about to speak—
"Save it," Yusuke snapped coldly. "If you just brought me here to lecture me, I'll leave. If you don't like me, feel free to take back the forehead protector."
The tension in the room spiked. Yusuke had never liked these elders and had no intention of pretending otherwise.
"Koharu, silence. Don't speak without my permission," Hiruzen barked, clearly furious. He was tired of her constant political games.
"And you, Yusuke. Stop threatening to quit being a shinobi," the Hokage sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I became a ninja to protect Konoha. Not to be a punching bag for the Council's frustrations," Yusuke replied coldly.
Koharu's face turned pale with rage.
"Enough. The reason we've called you here is to officially promote you to Jōnin," Hiruzen announced.
Silence. Everyone stared in disbelief. He was only ten years old. A direct promotion to Jōnin? That was unheard of in the entire shinobi world.
"Oh," Yusuke said casually, as if it was no big deal.
"Of course, you'll need to prove that you're worthy of the title," Hiruzen added.
"So basically… a test battle, right? Fight a Jōnin and hold my own?" Yusuke asked.
"Correct. You'll be facing Jiraiya. You only need to endure without being defeated," Hiruzen confirmed.
"What a pain... Wait, one of the advisors is a Jōnin too, right? Why not let me fight her instead? I promise to end it in one blow," Yusuke said with a cold smile, glaring at Koharu. The woman lowered her head and didn't dare speak.
"Enough, Yusuke. Let's get to the training field," Hiruzen ordered.

Training Ground—
"Don't worry, I'll go easy on you," Jiraiya said with a grin.
"Thanks in advance," Yusuke replied, unfazed.
In a flash, Jiraiya lunged forward.
Yusuke drew Enma, clashing with Jiraiya's kunai. The clash was brief—the kunai shattered under the force of Yusuke's swing.
"...Without even using Chakra?" Jiraiya muttered in disbelief.
They exchanged blows, moving faster than most could follow. Neither had managed to land a hit. Yusuke had to admit—Jiraiya was no joke. Even his Taijutsu was on another level.
Fire Release: Flame Bullet!
Jiraiya formed hand signs and launched a fireball straight at Yusuke.
Yusuke was about to counter with Water Release—but he didn't have time to form hand signs.
One Sword Style: Port Slash!
A brilliant blue arc of energy tore through the fireball, splitting it clean in half.
"Not bad. Then how about this—Ninja Art: Wild Lion's Mane Technique!"
Jiraiya's hair shot out like steel wires, attacking from every angle.
Hatake Style: Obliteration Slash!
Yusuke coated Enma in Chakra and unleashed a powerful shockwave. The razor-like arc cut through the steel mane effortlessly. Sensing danger, Jiraiya leapt backward.
"He… he cut through Jiraiya's reinforced hair..." Orochimaru muttered, watching from the shadows. "With Enma, maybe. But with just a normal swing…?"
Fire Release: Giant Flame Bullet!
A much larger fireball barreled toward Yusuke.
Armament Haki! Hatake Style!
Combining Haki with Chakra, Yusuke sliced through the massive inferno with a single swing. The fire dispersed instantly.
"What the hell—?! Earth Release: Earth Flow Rampart!" Jiraiya quickly created a stone wall to shield himself.
"That technique… it's nearing S-rank Forbidden Jutsu levels…" Hiruzen murmured in awe. "And he hasn't even used his Kekkei Genkai yet…"
"Jiraiya... is that all you've got?" Yusuke's tone was sharp. "If this is your best, you're not even close to forcing me to use my real power."
"Hah! Then I guess I have no choice!" Jiraiya declared, rising from behind the rubble with a fierce grin. "Time to show you the true strength of Jiraiya the Toad Sage!"
