Calling Elysia a "social terrorist" really wasn't an exaggeration.
It had only been a few minutes since she arrived, yet with just a few casual words she had already left a deep impression on every girl in the studio.
Even Fu Hua and Ganyu—both usually quiet and reserved—had been pulled into chatting about girly topics by her.
Eden couldn't help but feel a little envious of Elysia's bright, outgoing personality.
"By the way, Miss Eden, what brings you to our studio today?"
After all the commotion Elysia had caused, Eden had nearly forgotten the reason she came here in the first place.
It wasn't until Durandal posed the question that Eden finally remembered.
"Well, I've always been quite interested in the songs miHoYo has written, so I thought I'd come by and meet the people behind them."
"I see…" Durandal nodded lightly. "If it's about the game itself, we might be able to answer you, but when it comes to the music… you'll have to ask the boss."
Eden chuckled softly. "Hehe~ of course. I'm also very interested in Honkai Impact 3rd as a whole—the story is truly captivating…"
At this point, her voice hesitated, then she carefully asked:
"May I ask… in the game, did Himeko really… die?"
"It seems Miss Eden is quite fond of Himeko~" Rita smiled gently. "Since Himeko herself is right here, why not ask her directly?"
Before Eden could speak, Himeko waved her hand dismissively. "I don't know either. The boss only said I still have scenes left later… whether I really die or not, I couldn't say."
Eden nodded slightly. "If there are more scenes, then it should be fine…"
She already had her own answer deep down. But now, after seeing Himeko standing alive before her, she finally felt at peace.
Still, her curiosity lingered. Being here in miHoYo's studio in person, she couldn't resist the urge to ask about the future of the story.
"In truth, we only handle the voice acting, operations, and event design. For specifics, Miss Eden, you'll need to speak directly with the boss."
Eden nodded. "Then, may I ask where your boss is right now?"
Rita slowly rose to her feet with flawless elegance, her every gesture refined.
She gave a graceful inviting motion. "Miss Eden, please follow me. The boss happens to be in the recording booth right now, guiding Bronya with her singing~"
"As a musician yourself, I imagine this will interest you."
At those words, Eden's eyes lit up.
"We won't be disturbing them, will we?"
"Not at all. The boss has a very kind temperament. Even if she were upset, she would never hold it against someone as beautiful as Miss Eden~"
Eden tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and smiled lightly. "Then I'll trouble you, Miss Rita~"
At that moment, Elysia bounded over. "We're going to meet this Mo Li boss, right? Can I come too? Heehee"
"Of course~ Please, both of you, come along." Rita strode ahead with elegant steps.
Eden and Elysia followed close behind.
Hu Tao rolled her eyes playfully, then snuck along with a grin.
"Mei, let's go check it out too!" Kiana's interest was piqued, and she dragged Mei off toward the recording booth.
——
Inside the recording room, Mo Li was busy fine-tuning Bronya's vocals.
"Bronya, let's try one more time. This time keep your voice steady—aim for a one-take pass!" Mo Li shot her an encouraging look through the glass.
"Easy for you to say… voice acting is fine, but singing with my childhood voice isn't that simple…" Bronya muttered, then added under her breath, "It's not like I'm singing a nursery rhyme…"
She thought she was quiet, but with the mic right in front of her, her grumble came through loud and clear.
"Pfft…" Mo Li couldn't help but laugh.
Cyberangel.
On Earth, the song had once been jokingly called a "nursery rhyme."
The reason, of course, was the original singer's silly, childlike voice.
Now with Bronya herself singing it, the effect was even more pronounced.
That's right—Mo Li and Bronya were currently recording the theme song for the Cyberangel animated short.
"Cyberangel"—Chinese title: "天使重构" (Angel Reconstruction).
The short was packed with every element beloved by young men: beautiful girls, motorcycles, mechs, transformations, drills, cannons, lasers, missiles, monsters…
It was a buffet of wild imagination.
Among Earth's players, though, its reputation was somewhat below that of Herrscher of the Void and Final Lesson.
It lacked the jaw-dropping awe of HOV's first appearance, and it didn't strike the same deep emotional chord as Himeko's sacrifice.
But that didn't mean it wasn't an excellent short.
The theme was simply different, and so it naturally didn't evoke as much shock or sentiment.
Still, in terms of shot continuity, special effects, transitions, and long takes, Cyberangel was far more polished than the earlier shorts.
On the production level, it would absolutely count as world-class anime.
It could even hold its own against some of Sakura Island's theatrical animations.
Mo Li could already imagine: once Cyberangel was released, players would be shouting in unison—
"miHoYo, make an anime already! The rise of Chinese animation depends on you!"
Shaking away his idle thoughts, Mo Li gave Bronya an "OK" gesture.
A moment later, a heavy bass line kicked in, paired with soaring electronic synths.
Eden's group happened to arrive outside the recording booth just then.
Hearing the striking intro, Eden instinctively raised her brows and stopped in her tracks.
Seeing this, Rita also paused at her side, smiling gracefully.
[Corrupt binary codes infecting my mind]
Twisted code seeping into consciousness.
[Perform invocation with numbing freeze]
Executing commands with a cold numbness.
…
The moment Bronya's dorky, childish tone came through, Rita nearly lost it.
"Pfft…"
Eden froze in surprise for a beat, then seemed to catch on.
"Judging from the lyrics and the style… this must be Bronya's character song, right?"
Rita shook her head gently. "I'm not certain, but it is quite pleasant to listen to."
Elysia chimed in at once, bouncing in rhythm. "Yes, yes! I can't help but tap my feet along with the beat heehee"
