In 'The King's return' the character voted as one of the sexiest NPCs by most if not all fandoms is none other than Jasper Ellis Bastion. He's not a playable character, but that never stopped users from favoring him over even the main character.
Jasper Ellis Bastion is a top tier character, the younger brother of the current King, and everyone's favorite milk daddy. He's the character that always appears at the most opportune moments, giving players just what they need to proceed to the next stage. Some might say based on the difficulty level of the game, if there was no Jasper to carry them, the players would certainly all die. To think such a blessed character would appear so early in the story…impossible. Something is not right, could she have changed too much in the story already?
"You don't even look surprised by my appearance" Jasper seems very amused by her silence. He expected her to jump at the sight of him, but her lack of fear is a refreshing take.
"Oh!"
She catches on too late, in a situation like this the victim wouldn't sit and gawk at their kidnapper. As a lady dragged out of her chambers in the dead of night, wearing nothing but her nightgown she should be appalled. She should be hurling curses and spells at him on sight for disrespecting her…but…it's Jasper though. Even as Eren in her past life she'd joined his mindless Fanclub as a fanboy.
"Well, you're certainly not like they say." He pushes off the door frame and steps into the room.
"Oh, what do they say about me?" She nervously gulps.
"Spoilt" he approaches slowly with a sly look in his eyes.
"I am." She nervously nods.
"Cruel and inconsiderate." He's getting closer to the bed, forcing her to inch back with each step.
"It's a misunderstanding, people gossip about the sensational parts and forget the why in most stories."
"Stupid and naïve." He's close enough for her to make out his long lashes, straight nose, full lips, and sharp jaw. A perfectly sculpted piece of white marble brought to life, a dream come true for the marketing team. Jasper lives up to his reputation in real life.
"Depends on who I'm talking to, there's always someone smarter than me." She leans back a bit, suddenly feeling her cheeks heat up.
"My nephew really doesn't know what he's missing does he?"
"I don't know, he might find someone better in the future." She'd rather not stay married to a danger magnet with the 'Hero' label on him.
"I could marry you after the divorce."
Now she's really blushing, unsure of what to say to this. Did she just get proposed to by Rei's Uncle? Wonders will never end.
"I think you should start by telling me why you kidnapped me." She tries to steer the conversation away from these shark infested waters.
He chuckles and retreats, completely aware of his effect on her. It's nice to see a pretty young elf get flustered because of his looks. "No reason, I just wanted some time to evaluate the character of my nephew's bride."
"…" as if she'd buy something so simple. Milk Daddy Jasper never appears for no reason. He's a glaring marker for when shits about to hit the fan and the difficulty level is about to rise.
"You pass by the way, flying colors if I do say so myself." He finally pulls away from her bubble, taking with him that unique arctic fresh scent. It almost feels like a loss for her sensitive elven nose.
"Even though I'm so weak?" she never pegged him as the type to like weak damsels in distress.
"Ah, but that's the thing. Are you though?" he makes the shape of a telescope with his right hand and places it over his eye. "Level nine at the age of seventeen. Not even the genius princess at the capital can claim that at your age. And I see with a little more work you'll likely top that in a little while. How can that be considered weak?"
"You can see my level!" she's shocked, all the books in the library said a person's level can only be revealed by a seer, load stone, or old spells in the lost tongue. Jasper never cast a spell otherwise she'd have felt the telltale signs of his building mana. What a mysterious man, truly worthy of being called the MVP.
"Don't fall in love with me just yet. I'm a member of the Monk's guild, tis just a trait I got along the way." He easily waves off her awe.
It must be said that the Monk's guild is one of the oldest guilds in 'The King's Return.' A mysterious guild with an unknown founder, they're involved in all aspects of the game. Their key members are some of the strongest characters in the game, able to move mountains with just the strength of their pinky. The greatest honor for a player is to be recognized as an honorary member. Only three players have ever been able to earn this title. She couldn't even get it in her past life as Eren, she hadn't been dedicated enough to rack up the reputation points needed.
To think Jasper is part of that guild…well that explains some things. It's no wonder he's always on the up and up, able to forewarn players before major events. He must be here to warn her about something now too. Could it be about the monster march or is it something else she's caused by deviating from the script? So many questions.
"I can practically see the smoke from here. Stop thinking before you boil your brain. It's understandable you don't know about the guild, growing up in a fiefdom so far away from the capital. Let's just say I'm part of a famous band of warriors. I'm quite the celebrity you know." He grins.
"Uh-huh" She's still trying to pick her mouth off the floor.
"Sure you don't wanna reconsider my marriage proposal now?"
'Not really what I'm thinking, but sure we can go with that' sometimes it's hard for her to feign ignorance about certain factors. She tries to appear clueless, selling whatever cute points she can to get more information from him. Being Kidnapped by Jasper might not be such a bad thing after all.
"So why did you kidnap and bring me here?"
"Still not falling for me yet huh, my nephew sure found a solid one in you."
"…"
"Understandable. Fine, I'm here to warn you of an upcoming threat." He's back into her bubble again, taking room on the bed by sitting right next to her.
She's just about to ask him to continue when a loud crash startles them. She sees the bedroom door go sailing past their nose, forcefully nailed into the cabin wall. The violent act comes so suddenly that she jumps, only to see Rei standing at the now demolished doorway like a wraith. She even sees the illusion of green moss growing on his head. He looks upset with a pronounced vein on his clenched jaw and sporadically twitching brow, as he looks down at them like a pair of adulterers.
Vaguely, she remembers a similar conversation that took place not just two nights ago where he accused her of cheating with Clad. Why does he always seem to catch her in a bad light, doing misleading things? Even if she has two mouths to explain the circumstance who'd believe her. A married woman and a handsome unknown man sitting on the bed together in a secluded cabin, alone. What's there to even think about! She has a better chance of jumping into the yellow river in hopes that she might wash herself clean.
"Who are you?" Rei's voice is heavy, loaded with barely restrained anger.
"Well hello there, what took you so long nephew?" Jasper is completely unphased by the optics and ruthlessly goads him with a big smile. It's true what they say, in a fight among gods it's the mortals that suffer.
[New title acquired: The Adulterous Wife]
'…'
She's so pissed she could cough up blood and faint. Who needs such a ridiculous title. At this point she might as well court death, ah!
