CHAPTER 12
Nancy was beyond shocked shocked hearing Daphne's question
How could she ask her that?
Pregnant?
She can't be pregnant they've never even kissed before let along....
She instantly but her lips to stop her mind from having any more thoughts then let out a soft laugh
"Mother we're...umm ..kinda..."
" You don't have to lie to me Nancy, remember I was once an ex Alexander too..INFACT!...am going to shear a little secret with you" she exclaimed gesturing her to come closer
Nancy smile and simply complied
"You know,... George and I never had kids early , HONESTLY,we didn't even like each "
She whispered the last part
Nancy frown hearing this
Dapne understanding what the frown ment giggles
"Yes, it was an arrange marriage"
"Noo..!" She quickly covered her mouth realizing her Daphne might not like her tone
"No ..it.. ok ... please"she responded laughing
Dropping her hands her lips were open in amazement,shock she can't even explain it
No one ever told her this before,
and the heck
who would have thought that there's was an arrange marriage all along
"Is it a ...law or a rituals that.."
"Oh no no ..it not a ritual " Daphne cut her of laughing " it just an Alexander believe nothing more"
Nancy just nodded silently astonished by what she was hearing
"And that's why.." Daphne continued " am trying to set a different part for Nickeal and Brenda...if possible maybe ,who knows...if they married who they love it might be different "
Nancy smile at how soft Daphne looks at the moment
It strange how satisfying it feels hearing her mother in law say those words.
"Don't worry mother " she said placing her hand on Daphne's knee " everything is going to be just alright "she ended giving Daphne a reassuring smile
Daphne smiled back
The two had some more talks with just laughter filling the hole room

Later that evening Nancy was out in the garden for some fresh air
Her mind continue to drift back to their conversation with dapne
It seems to her that all the poor woman just wanted was a good life for her family
Her mind then shifted to Simon and herself.
Could they ever grow pass think fass.. or is it a sign from GOD to just let it go?
She sign at the thought shaking her head
Of course GOD would not make her leave her husband how silly of her.
She set her gaze to the heaven with a worried look on her face
"Lord please help me?"she whispered
Just then one of the maid approached her
"Ma'am dinner is ready"she said with a light bow
" Thank you , I'll be there in a minute"
Respond nancy
The maid left leaving her standing there
She stood there in silent for some minutes before finally walking into the mansion.
She headed to the bedroom to freshen up ,
She got inside only to discover the bathroom has already been occupied
She sign softly and sat at the edge of the mattress ,
Hands tangling one another as her mind continue to wonder what the future holds for this marriage.
What if they never go pass this fass?
Will they really remain like this?
Her brows suddenly frown
Does he even want to go pass this fass at all?
The question hit her hard .
He certainly doesn't act like he wants to,
But it doesn't matter!!
She sat back making herself comfortable .
As long as she wants him there's no resisting....
Her thoughts were intruded by the door opening
Steam of heat followed as Simon's frame stepped out.
A white towel wrapped around his torso ?
Nancy stood up almost instantly like someone who has been caught doing something they shouldn't.
She swallowed ,eyes wide open as they stared directly at him
There was no reaction from Simon's end as he stare blankly at her.
Without any word he walked pass her to the mirror stand.
She shut her eyes tightly grunting her teeth hard.
What is wrong with her ? Why would she react like that?
'It ok ...just make up something '
She convinced herself.
Opening her eyes she turned to him
"I um...I wanted to talk to you.. about mother"
His eye brow moved slightly
But he didn't say anything.
Nancy on the other hand was unsettled
'what is wrong with her? .. this is not her first time seeing him half naked so why is she feeling so restless at the moment?
" I'll come back later" she said and quickly turn making her way to the door
What the hell is wrong with her?
'Urgg this is so annoying'her hands reach the door nob when....
"What is it?!!"
She heard him ask
There was a pause for a moment a bit hesitation from her end, then she quietly turned
"Well it just that ...I thought..I thought maybe we should do something for mother"
She finally said
Simon's expression didn't really give out much as he remain silent.
" I don't know..it was just a.. silly thought" she said trying to shut the idea
The awkward smile on her face made her look childishly cute
Simon didn't say a word but his eyes never left her face.
"What do you suggest?"
The question sattled her
She won't lie, she's a bit shocked that he agreed.
Now to think of what mother wants
" I was thinking maybe...you guys have a particular activity you do....as a kid I mean"
She stuttered a bit
And almost in a second she saw something flicker in his eyes. And then he berried it again.
Silence fill the room.
Did she maybe say something wrong?
Why the sudden shift of mood?
"Am extre...."
" You decide " he suddenly said
A deep frown settled between her brows
'she decides??'
"D.. decide what?" Her voice was almost a whisper .
"What do you want to do?"
She suddenly blinked three times in a row
What she wants to do?
Why is he asking her that?
