Luna didn't cry anymore.
She didn't have the energy to.
Her days were filled with forced smiles, polite nods, and mechanical laughter. She walked across the campus like a shadow of herself, graceful, composed, and heartbreakingly silent.
Every corner reminded her of him.
Asher.
She could still feel his hand in hers, the way he used to whisper her name like it was sacred.
But now… Now he was always beside her. Sarah Shawn, all glittering lies and possessive smiles. She draped herself on him like he was a prize she'd won.
And Asher let her.
He let her.
"Stop thinking about him," Luna whispered to herself in the mirror, fixing her lip gloss with trembling hands. "He made his choice."
But deep down… she knew something was wrong.

Zane noticed it too.
The gleam in his sister's eyes had dimmed. Her laughter was too controlled. And Asher, Zane watched him like a hawk, saw the way he looked at Luna when he thought no one was watching.
Guilt.
Regret.
Longing.
Zane hated it.
