It was a quiet Saturday morning on campus. The sun streamed through the slightly parted curtains of Luna and Saige's dorm room, casting golden streaks across the floral bedsheets and pastel walls. A Taylor Swift playlist hummed softly in the background, and the scent of Saige's vanilla body spray lingered in the air.
"Okay, spill," Saige said, twisting her braids into a bun as she perched on Luna's bed. "You've been smiling at your phone all morning like a Disney princess in love."
Luna rolled her eyes, hugging a pillow to her chest. "It's not love, Saige. We just talked… a lot."
Saige grinned. "Talked? Babe, it's been three weeks since classes started and that man has brought you coffee, helped you carry books, sent flowers, and literally fended off a drunk guy at the library for you."
Luna blushed. "Okay, maybe it's something."
"Something?" Saige gasped. "You better give me the juicy details!"
Luna leaned in, whispering, "He asked me out. Like…officially."
