Downstairs, Ethan stood in the control room, surrounded by high-resolution monitors and two of the best private security officers in the country, men brought in from an elite tactical unit he once invested in.
"We'll run facial recognition through our internal system again," the lead guard said. "But based on the shadow structure and stride, the intruder was a woman. Petite. Quick. She knew where to avoid the motion sensors."
Ethan didn't flinch. "Vanessa."
Elijah nodded. "Or someone she hired. Either way, this wasn't just an intimidation stunt. She was close enough to harm Luna."
