The lights were blinding.
Talia sat in the plush studio chair with Luna snuggled in her arms and Zane seated beside her, gripping a soft blue elephant. Across from her, Ethan Wolfe, impossibly polished in a dark suit, held himself with practiced ease. But the softness in his eyes was unmistakably reserved for her.
This was not how she expected to spend her Tuesday morning.
"Welcome to Mornings with Clara," the host beamed. "Today, we're joined by one of the country's most powerful CEOs, Ethan Wolfe, and rising fashion sensation Talia James, and their adorable twins!"
Cue camera pan to Zane, who blinked into the lens and promptly yawned. Luna offered a sleepy "Hi" and waved her tiny fist.
Talia smiled nervously, wondering if her curls were still frizz-free or if Luna had yanked enough of them out during makeup.
