Talia hadn't expected Ethan to be home early. In fact, she had carved out the afternoon to pin fabrics, sketch quietly, and maybe chase the twins around the living room while half-talking to herself. But when she stepped out of her workroom and found Ethan crawling, literally crawling, on the carpet with Luna squealing in delight and Zane chewing on his father's Rolex, she blinked.
"Okay," she said, arms crossed. "Should I pretend this is normal now?"
Ethan looked up, not the least bit embarrassed. "It is normal. I've accepted that my boss is now two feet tall and runs the house with a pacifier in hand."
Zane babbled something unintelligible, slapping Ethan's cheek like a thank-you.
Talia smirked, shaking her head. "You know you have a board meeting in two hours, right?"
"I do. And I'll walk in there with drool on my suit and pride in my heart."
She chuckled and crouched next to Luna. "Well, the twins have clearly chosen their favorite."
