Obtaining the Bula Race bloodline?
How could that possibly be?!
From what Sadius knew, the Bula bloodline could only be passed down when an elder Bula willingly sacrificed themselves to give birth to the next generation.
If the Bula bloodline were truly so easily granted, Orloff would have long ago plumbed his own bloodline to its limits.
"That's impossible. How could you turn an ordinary person into a Bula?"
"Of course I cannot turn someone into a true Bula. But giving you a second true body is not impossible."
"A… second true body?"
In the Panlong universe, a cultivator could have another divine clone…
but a second true body? Could that even count as a "true body"?
"You know the Four Divine Beast clan, don't you?"
"Of course."
Sadius currently carried Azure Dragon bloodline, so he barely counted as part of that lineage.
"My method is similar to the Azure Dragon clan's Dragon Transformation Pool. I've researched it for hundreds of thousands of years to develop this."
Sadius was intrigued.
Did this Extreme Intent Fiend really create something like a lesser Dragon Pool?
"I once experimented on a Saint-level being, having a human refine a drop of my essence blood. Normally it wouldn't trigger any mutation. But when I helped him refine a large number of Soul Gold Beads, his soul slowly began to transform. His body and soul split into two distinct entities. Of course, he didn't become like a true Bula, freely separating soul and body. Instead, both bodies and souls were identical, simply two of the same person. So really, he just gained another true body."
"That still wouldn't make a triple-soul variant evolve into a quadruple-soul variant, would it?"
"That was only my first successful experiment. Later, after repeated refinement, I developed a better version—a second true body with blank attributes, no innate law affinity."
"No innate law affinity? You mean its seven-elemental law talent is so weak it's practically nonexistent?"
In the Panlong universe, everyone technically had all-element affinity, but most were so weak they couldn't even sense elemental essences.
"Exactly. Later, I had that experiment's second true body refine a Divine Spark, and naturally, he gained another divine clone."
"So, a Saint refining a Divine Spark just gains another divine clone. That's simply another type of divine power.
It's a way to boost strength…But it doesn't make a triple-soul variant become quadruple-soul—at best it gives you four-series fused divine power, not a true four-soul mutation."
Sadius had thought about this problem before.
If the true body could refine a Divine Spark, why didn't Panlong universe's Gods do it?
The reason was obvious:
A Saint-level true body could comprehend all the laws its divine clones cultivated.
If the true body became a God by refining a Divine Spark, it would lose the ability to comprehend its own rules and laws, so its cultivation speed would plummet.
"Indeed. A blank-attribute second true body has no law talent. It isn't suited to cultivating the Four Supreme Edicts. Until one day, I read ancient texts about the Azure Dragon clan's Dragon Pool baptism. Curious, I had one of my divine clones visit Blood Ridge Continent. After spending a fortune, I witnessed the Azure Dragon clan's baptism ritual. From that, I finally devised a way to give someone with Bula bloodline a second true body with Death affinity."
"And what does Death affinity have to do with this?"
"Don't you know? The Death Edict values pure soul quality above all else."
"That, I know."
"So, I ran another experiment. I had a Saint refine my essence blood, then baptized him with this ritual. It wasn't as potent as the Azure Dragon clan's baptism that directly grants Water affinity and Divinity, but it made the second true body's soul extremely pure, allowing him to become an Undead Magus. Tell me—doesn't that give him another elemental affinity?"
Sadius was shocked.
This man had really figured out such a method.
Indeed, the Death Edict didn't rely on elemental affinity. The purer the soul, the greater the talent for Death Edicts.
So—a second true body, and Death affinity.
If Orloff ever learned this secret, who knew what horrors he'd create?
He might even mass-produce Saints with pure souls for Augusta to create high-tier Angels in batches!
Sadius' heart wavered.
If he could gain a second true body, wouldn't he gain Death Edict affinity as well?
Then, if his true body and second body merged… he could naturally transition from a triple-soul variant to a quadruple-soul variant.
"If you have such a secret technique, why not sell it to dual-soul variants? From what I know, soul mutations, while rare, aren't unheard of in Infernal Realm. If you sold this secret to a powerful soul variant, you could have them kill Blackcloud Fiend for you. That wouldn't be hard."
"Why would I sell it? If I revealed it, everyone would know I'm Bula Race. They'd capture me and use me as a tool. This secret… even non-variants would covet it. After all, gaining another true body is like gaining another life."
It made sense.
Sadius didn't argue.
If this technique spread, it wouldn't be long before only Orloff and Augusta remained the last true Bula in the universe.
"So…you're willing to tell me this secret now?"
"If I don't, even if you spare me, Blackcloud Fiend's lackeys will come to finish me off.
When he moves, he leaves no survivors."
"Then what do you want me to do?"
"I'm dying anyway. My divine clones are gone. I'll give birth to the next generation—when I do, I'll die. I want you to raise my child. And, if possible, I hope you'll one day kill Blackcloud Fiend for me."
"Fine. I'll agree—on the condition that I truly gain the chance to become a quadruple-soul variant."
A four-soul mutation!
Such a being would gain Will Suppression, and their strength would surpass even a single-series full mastery!
"I can't guarantee you'll succeed in becoming quadruple-soul—I'm not a soul variant myself. But I can give you another affinity at least. If you don't achieve four-soul mutation, you don't have to avenge me. But I hope you'll at least raise my child."
"Alright. I agree."
Raising a Bula child wasn't difficult.
"This spatial ring has a drop of my essence blood and a memory crystal recording the method. They're yours now."
The Midgod released ownership of the spatial ring and handed it to Sadius.
Sadius accepted it and bound it with his soul.
Inside, indeed, was a single drop of essence blood and one crystal sphere.
"Now I can finally rest easy…"
The Midgod sighed.
Moments later, his entire life force condensed.
Soon, he spat out an egg filled with life energy.
After that, his vitality became extremely weak.
His body slumped to the ground.
Moments later, his soul completely dissipated, leaving only a corpse.
