Inside the fortress, the twenty Midgod reinforcements barely had time to react before waves of wind-elemental magic attacks, each carrying Highgod-level power, rained down upon them.
Ordinary Midgods could never withstand energy strikes of Highgod magnitude.
Several were instantly slain.
The survivors were left heavily wounded, scrambling to evade further attacks, no longer daring to charge deeper into the fortress.
They quickly sent divine sense transmissions to the Midgod inside the castle who was responsible for the magic arrays, demanding an explanation.
"My lord! Why has the fortress's magic array been taken over by those two intruders?!"
"Be careful. One of those two Midgods is clearly a master of magic arrays."
Clearly, the Midgod who had set up the magic formation held a special status among the bandits.
Even though he was also just a Midgod, the others still addressed him respectfully as 'my lord.'
The remaining ten-plus Midgods became cautious, no longer recklessly advancing into the fortress interior.
Sadius watched this unfold, realizing this stalemate wouldn't last long.
He could temporarily override and redirect the opponent's magic array…But the other side, as the true controller, could easily adjust it back.
"Emilin, let's move. This array is enough to delay them for a while. I've already located the room where the treasures are stored. There are quite a few good things in there."
Normally, divine experts would keep their most precious belongings in their spatial rings.
That way, as long as they remained alive, no one could claim their treasures.
But some things simply couldn't be stored inside a spatial ring—Since rings could only hold lifeless objects (with the exception of metal lifeforms, which function like artificial intelligent constructs).
And inside this bandit fortress, there were indeed treasures that couldn't be put into spatial rings, as well as communal resources belonging to the group.
After all, if communal items were kept in one person's ring and that person was killed, the resources would simply become the killer's spoils. So, keeping them inside the fortress wasn't a bad choice.
Sadius led Emilin deeper into the fortress, heading straight for the treasure vault.
But the Midgod who controlled the array sensed their movement.
Realizing the situation, he reluctantly abandoned control of the formation, leaving the control room.
Weapon in hand—an impressive Highgod spear—he strode toward the treasure vault, ready to confront the two intruders head-on.
Sadius and Emilin reached the door to the vault.
"Quite an intricate magic array! But it's nothing compared to the one inside Beirut's metal castle's sealed chamber…"
Sadius immediately began cracking the array.
But breaking a formation wasn't something that could be done in an instant.
Sure enough, moments later, the Midgod responsible for the array arrived—a spear-wielding Midgod whose aura was sharper than most peers.
"Die!"
The spear thrust straight at them with terrifying force.
Emilin stepped forward without hesitation, engaging the Midgod in combat to buy Sadius time.
Sadius focused on dismantling the array, unable to afford any distraction.
The two clashed violently.
But Emilin quickly found himself at a disadvantage.
What?
Sadius analyzed the battle even while breaking the array.
"Emilin is a dual-fusion Midgod Divine Beast, a top-tier existence among Midgods…Yet against this opponent, he's only taking hits? That spear isn't an ordinary Highgod weapon—its power rivals even the Violet Blood Divine Sword. And this Midgod's Profound Mysteries fusion isn't just dual… it's at least triple fusion."
But upon closer observation, Sadius' expression grew solemn.
This wasn't just an ordinary three-fusion Midgod.
The opponent was a wind-element Midgod, having fused the Profound Mysteries of Fast and Slow, forming the Essence of Speed, and also fused the Soundwave Profound Mystery with the Musical Profound Mystery, forming the Essence of Sound.
Then, the Wind Element Profound Mystery itself had been fused with both those Essences—effectively intertwining three different domains into an advanced composite fusion.
He's even attempting to merge the Essence of Speed and the Essence of Sound further…Among the nine Profound Mysteries of Wind, one didn't need to fully comprehend all nine to advance.
Just two fusions were enough to reach Midgod level.
But this opponent's mastery clearly exceeded even a typical Four-Star Fiend.
"Emilin, protect yourself! This guy's strength is probably comparable to a Five-Star Fiend!"
Sadius' warning made Emilin even more cautious, but his situation didn't improve.
The mysterious Midgod's attacks grew increasingly fierce.
"You two really think you can walk away? This is your last chance—surrender now, or die!"
His spearwork became even more ferocious.
Emilin was already on the brink of being overwhelmed.
Even his innate divine ability was countered—one powerful spear strike sent him flying back, heavily injured.
Sadius frowned.
There was no helping it—He split off his Earth-element clone from his true body. The Earth clone drew the God Spark Sword, charging straight at the Midgod.
Sword and spear clashed.
This time, the power was evenly matched.
Sadius' tri-element fused divine power far surpassed an ordinary Midgod.
And the God Spark Sword in his hand was superior to ordinary Highgod weapons—even his Violet Blood Sword paled in comparison.
When their weapons met for the first time, both were forced back several steps.
"Impossible… how can you have a weapon like that?!"
The Midgod stared in disbelief at Sadius' sword.
He clearly recognized it for what it was—a God Spark weapon, forged from condensed God Spark!
It was said only Beirut, the mysterious ruler of Yulan Plane's Blood Ridge Continent, could craft true God Spark weapons.
No ordinary divine expert could even damage, let alone forge, a God Spark.
How could a Midgod in Infernal Realm possibly possess something of this level?
"Beirut… what's your connection to him?"
The Midgod probed Sadius' aura—a draconic beast, not even a true Divine Beast, yet somehow cultivated to Midgod level.
"You mean Lord Beirut? Since you can see I have ties to Lord Beirut, why don't you get lost while you still can?"
Sadius shamelessly borrowed Beirut's name as a deterrent, waving the tiger's banner.
Even Emilin was startled.
So, Beirut's reputation is that immense? Even a Midgod in Infernal Realm recognizes it…But the Midgod only sneered.
"Beirut? So what? I've already lost my strongest divine clone. If I fall today, I'd rather die fighting and join Extreme Intent in the afterlife!"
His aura suddenly exploded even higher.
"Hmph! Do you think going all-out scares me?"
Sadius gripped the God Spark Sword tighter, activating the Black Annihilation Sword Intent, clashing with the opponent once more.
This time, with the sword intent unleashed, Sadius' power completely crushed the Midgod's.
The Midgod's eyes widened in shock.
"So that's it… you're a triple-attribute soul variant!"
He suddenly let out a wild laugh.
Across the infinite planes, there had only been one recorded instance of a triple-soul-attribute variant—and it had caused a great sensation at the time.
"I yield. But… there is one thing I want to ask you to do for me."
