Chapter 77 - Chapter 77 – Journey to Blackcloud City, Ambushed by Bandits

Sadius' approach was highly effective.

The previously lifeless, gloomy little tribe suddenly became full of energy and excitement.

These Lowergods had been stuck in Infernal Realm for tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of years.

Anyone with even a shred of talent would have long since advanced to Midgod and gone to Blackcloud City to take the Fiend Assessment, never to remain in such a small tribe as cannon fodder.

But those left behind were the ones with poor aptitude, their lives utterly miserable.

Most had only become Gods by refining Divine Sparks, and to advance to Midgod, they had no choice but to refine another Midgod spark—and even that required huge time and resources.

Their only source of income was refining Lowgod artifacts.

And a single Lowgod artifact required hundreds or even thousands of years of nurturing before it could be sold.

Selling one to the tribe chief earned just five blackstones.

But to buy even a single Midgod spark, they would need thousands of artifacts, which meant tens of thousands of years of labor.

It was far too long.

Now, suddenly, there was a chance to gain a Midgod spark instantly.

Who wouldn't be tempted?

With just two Divine Sparks, Sadius had completely taken control of the tribe.

The Lowergods all sprang into action enthusiastically.

"Kryo, these three sparks belong to you and your brothers."

The Six-Eyed Golden Lion triplets had all become Gods by refining Divine Sparks.

It was impossible for them to advance to Midgod through self-cultivation.

As his trusted people, Sadius naturally prioritized them first.

He gave the three brothers three sparks of matching attributes.

"Thank you, my lord!"

The three brothers were extremely grateful.

As for the other four Lowergods, Sadius glanced at them and said:

"You four should focus on cultivating properly. Don't even think about refining sparks. What you obtain through your own comprehension is far superior."

The four nodded.

For Gods, the one thing they weren't lacking was time.

With proper cultivation, they would eventually improve.

For the next few days, the nine of them stayed in the Thunderwing Tribe.

Sadius summoned the previous squad leader.

"Longdot, how far are we from the Amethyst Mountains?"

"My lord, you intend to go to the Amethyst Mountains? From the nearest Blackcloud City, the Amethyst Mountains are still a hundred million miles away. And from the Thunderwing Tribe to Blackcloud City itself is more than ten million miles."

Sadius paused for a moment.

It was indeed quite far.

"My lord, you can go to Blackcloud City first. With your strength, you can easily become a noble Fiend, then accept a mission to the Amethyst Mountains. Our Ziyang Prefecture actually has quite a few missions to the Amethyst Mountains."

"Hmm… you seem to know quite a bit."

Sadius raised an eyebrow.

Longdot chuckled awkwardly.

"I used to often accompany the previous chief to Blackcloud City, so I picked up some news."

"Then make the arrangements.

The tribe will soon head for Blackcloud City."

"Understood, my lord."

Afterward, Sadius called for Emilin.

Now that Emilin was already a Midgod, his strength wasn't weak.

"Emilin, do you want to go to the Amethyst Mountains? Amethysts have the same effect as soul gold beads. Mining them can be exchanged for a lot of blackstones. I plan to go to Blackcloud City first, complete a Fiend mission, and then head to the Amethyst Mountains."

"My lord, I was thinking the same. Staying in the Thunderwing Tribe clearly won't help our cultivation. Kryo and his brothers are refining sparks now and at least have some ability to protect themselves in Infernal Realm. I was going to ask if you planned to leave the tribe."

"We'll send the Earth clone first. Once the tribe's affairs are settled, the Destruction clone can also leave."

The two discussed their plan for the trip to Blackcloud City and began waiting for the tribe to organize the necessary people.

Soon, the departure day arrived.

Since they didn't have a metal lifeform for transport, they could only fly directly to Blackcloud City.

"Boss, we want to go too!"

Liya and Nien flew over eagerly.

"You two aren't even cultivating properly, and you want to join? Do you know how dangerous Infernal Realm is!?"

Nien and Liya were originally just ninth-rank magical beasts, with mediocre talent.

They only became Saints because of Sadius' resources and later became Gods thanks to the Violet-Gold Rat King's resources and guidance.

Their aptitude was far worse than even Harsel and Cesar.

They should focus on training, not adventuring.

The two looked a bit disappointed.

They thought coming to Infernal Realm would let them see a wider world, but reality was harsh.

"Enough. Train properly. When you become Midgods, I'll take you out. Right now, I don't have the ability to protect you."

Sadius persuaded them.

Only then did they reluctantly agree.

So, Sadius and Emilin took several Lowergods and left the tribe.

In Infernal Realm, the wilderness was extremely dangerous.

Bandits frequently lurked about.

These bandits were usually groups of Midgods and Lowergods who robbed passing Gods.

But robbery wasn't their only goal—Divine Sparks were their main business.

These bandits were also clever.

When someone passed by, they would probe with divine sense.

If it was a Highgod, they would hide cautiously.

But if it was just Midgods or Lowergods, they would attack in groups.

Sure enough, after flying just a few hundred miles, Sadius' group encountered a bandit ambush.

Several Midgods rushed forward, with a pack of Lowergods following closely behind.

They didn't even speak—they attacked immediately.

"Heh, I was waiting for you bandits."

Sadius' divine-spark longsword appeared in his hand.

He swung it, and a terrifying sword-light slashed toward the enemy.

Even though his Earth-elemental clone was just a two-fusion Midgod,

his strength was no weaker than many Highgods.

Sadius actually welcomed bandits coming at him—because he could slaughter them and profit.

He charged in with his sword, while Emilin followed right after.

Now, Emilin's strength was excellent among Midgods; ordinary Midgods really weren't his match anymore.

The Thunderwing Tribe's Lowergods, seeing their chief rush forward,

stayed far back.

Their strength was too weak; they couldn't even help clear a few Lowergods.

Sadius didn't expect anything from them— he only needed them to guide the way to Blackcloud City.

There were three Midgods in total.

Sadius instantly killed one with a single sword strike.

The other two hadn't even reacted before their companion was already dead.

Then Emilin unleashed his innate divine ability, quickly killing another.

The last Midgod, seeing the situation, panicked and tried to flee. He used Earth Movement Technique to escape underground.

But Sadius unleashed Black Oblivion Sword Intent.

The sword-light ripped through the space; no matter how he moved, the fleeing Midgod couldn't avoid it.

He was cut down instantly.

Three Midgods, wiped out in moments by Sadius and Emilin.

The remaining Lowergod bandits saw this and tried to flee in terror.

But Sadius wouldn't give them the chance.

He unleashed the Profound Mystery of Gravitational Space.

Though he hadn't fully mastered it yet, after fusing it with Pulse of the Earth, its binding effect was no weaker than a complete Gravitational Space.

Soon, the escaping Lowergods all slowed down.

Sadius and Emilin turned into slaughtering Gods, cutting down the bandits like weeds.

In no time, the entire group was dead.

"Three Midgods, thirteen Lowergods. Plenty of space rings, too."

Sadius checked the loot.

Inside the three Midgods' space rings, he found three more Midgod sparks and plenty of Lowergod sparks.

"Well, well… even some Amethysts."

Sadius' eyes lit up at the sight of the Amethysts.

There were only three pieces, but it was enough to make up for Derlin's lack of soul gold beads recently.

Aside from the Amethysts, Sadius split the rest of the resources in half with Emilin.

He wasn't stingy.

With these gains, Emilin could also trade for a good amount of blackstones in the city.

As for the other Lowergods from the tribe, they hadn't contributed anything, so naturally, they got nothing.

"Alright. Let's move on!"

After finishing everything, Sadius gave the order to continue toward Blackcloud City.
