Chapter 43 - Chapter 43 – Dylin and His Three Sons

Sadius' effortless slaughter of five Lower Gods had been clearly witnessed by Leylin.

What astonished Leylin the most was Sadius' move—Azure Dragon Transformation.

"Could this guy really be a reincarnation of an Azure Dragon?" Leylin thought with suspicion.

If Sadius truly was the reincarnation of an Azure Dragon, that meant he was once a Sovereign. Should he try to enslave him and make him swear a Sovereign's Oath to forever submit to him?

Leylin immediately dismissed the idea. If Sadius really was an Azure Dragon reincarnate, he might still possess some means of self-preservation as a Sovereign.

Trying to enslave such a being could easily backfire.

Leylin mentally placed a question mark over Sadius' identity and decided it was wiser to get along peacefully.

"Mr. Leylin, it's all done. You can come out now."

Leylin emerged from the ground.

"Sadius, I suppose I should be calling you 'my lord' now," Leylin joked.

"Mr. Leylin, how could you say that? I think you're more than ready to become a God yourself—it's just that this Planar Prison is unsafe, and you're reluctant to take that final step, am I right?"

Leylin let out a hearty laugh.

"Mr. Leylin, there's still one more Lower God at the weak point in space, but he's no threat now. Shall we go take care of him together?"

"Sure."

The two of them headed toward the location.

In a narrow crevice within the desolate wastelands, Dylin had sensed someone becoming a God earlier. When other God-level experts rushed over, he had instead chosen to hide in this fissure.

Strangely enough, the rocks forming this crevice were incredibly tough—even Dylin found them difficult to damage.

He had no intention of participating in the battle over Divine Sparks. After all, his three sons were only in the Saint-level.

If he got involved and the other Gods discovered his sons, they might be put in grave danger.

So, Dylin had remained hidden inside the cave.

When he later saw God after God being easily slaughtered by that newly ascended deity, he felt fortunate for staying out of the fight.

Now, he saw Sadius and Leylin approaching.

"Has he discovered me? What does he intend to do?"

"Father!" The three six-eyed Golden Beasts nestled in Dylin's arms were visibly frightened.

"Don't worry," Dylin reassured them. "Even if that man has two Lower God clones, your father may not necessarily lose."

Dylin's strength was not weak—he had already reached the peak of the Lower God stage.

At this moment, Sadius sent him a divine message. "Didn't expect a Lower God-level magical beast expert to be hiding here. Greetings. I'm Sadius. Apologies for the disturbance."

Sadius' tone was warm and casual, completely different from the ruthless aura he displayed while killing the five Lower Gods earlier.

Dylin found this odd. The man didn't seem to be looking for trouble—but he didn't let his guard down.

By now, Sadius and Leylin had arrived at the cave's entrance.

The three little six-eyed Golden Beasts peeked their heads out of Dylin's arms, watching the newcomers warily.

"Sadius, I wasn't involved in the hunt for your divine clones. There's no enmity between us," Dylin said, showcasing his divine presence to signal that he didn't fear Sadius.

"You misunderstand. That's not why I came. I only hope to borrow this cave for a while."

Dylin was puzzled. This place was just a temporary shelter. What would a Lower God want with it?

"Greetings, Sadius. You can call me Dylin. These are my three sons."

The three little six-eyed Golden Beasts curiously looked at Sadius.

They could sense the aura of a dragon from him, and it reminded them of the days back on the Yulan Continent when they used to devour dragons one after another.

But out of fear of a God-level expert, they tucked their heads tightly into their father's arms.

"May I ask what you intend to do with my cave, Sadius?"

Sadius hadn't planned to share his intent to leave the Planar Prison through this location.

But then he remembered—once he pulled out the Blood Violet Sword, the magic formation's effect would disappear anyway.

Since Dylin was nearby, once he left, Dylin would surely follow through the same spatial fissure.

Sadius quickly devised a plan.

"Dylin, would you be interested in leaving the Planar Prison with your children and returning to the Yulan Plane?"

"What did you say?" Dylin thought he had misheard.

"Father, he asked if you want to take us back to the Yulan Plane."

"That's right. I can bring you back. But such an opportunity doesn't come for free. If you're willing to swear an oath to the Overgod of Fate and serve me loyally for one thousand years, I'll take you out of the Planar Prison."

A thousand years of service? Long?

To a God, a thousand years was but a blink.

"What if you fail to get me out?" Dylin challenged.

He was afraid that if he swore the oath and Sadius lied to him, he'd be forced into servitude for nothing.

And truthfully, just the chance to leave the Planar Prison—many experts would willingly swear an oath of five thousand years, let alone one thousand.

"If I fail to get you out, then the oath will not take effect. You'll lose nothing."

"Very well. I accept."

"I, Dylin, hereby swear to the Overgod of Fate: if Sadius can take me out of the Planar Prison and return me to the Yulan Plane, I shall willingly serve him for one thousand years, obeying his commands."

Sadius smiled. Gaining a God-level expert for free was always a win.

"Very well. I'll tell you—the truth is, this cave is a weak spatial point that connects directly to the Mountain Range of Magical Beasts in the Yulan Plane."

"Impossible! The rocks here are incredibly dense—there's no way this is a weak point in space. If it were, I would've left long ago."

"What if this weak point was sealed by a magic formation?"

Dylin paused in thought. That was indeed a possibility.

"But that makes it even less likely for you to leave. If there's a formation here, wouldn't the space be even more tightly sealed?"

"Sadius, stop keeping him in suspense. Just tell him already," Leylin said with a grin.

Up to now, Dylin had thought Leylin—a Saint-level human—was merely Sadius' subordinate.

But it now seemed the two shared a much deeper relationship.

"Alright. Dylin, what if I told you I've already bonded with the formation at this location through a blood-recognition process? Do you think we'd be able to leave then?"

Dylin's first reaction was disbelief—then joy.

If that were true, leaving might truly be possible.

Even though this was a Planar Prison, its actual distance from the Yulan Plane was quite small.

A God could control a divine artifact located on the other side of the spatial membrane with just their divine sense.

Of course, precise manipulation wasn't realistic—but simply pulling something out of the formation wouldn't be hard.

Dylin's tone turned more respectful.

"Lord Sadius, are we leaving now?"

"We need some preparation first. The formation leads directly to my territory. If we just open the weak point here, the other Gods will surely notice, and more of them will escape."

"That's easy to fix. We can completely seal the cave entrance and use magic to create false signs around the weak point. At least that'll buy us some time before other Gods catch on," Leylin suggested.

"Good idea."

Sadius and Leylin then worked together to use earth-elemental magic to conjure massive boulders, sealing the entrance completely.
