She just walked, letting him trail while she thought about it, in the end she reached Lance and simply whispered into his ear
"Let's go" he was angry shocked and flabbergasted. She had not a minute to explain and held him by the hand while she forcefully dragged him out. Soon they were back in the alleyway and then Serena took out her purse, containing her phone and wallet from the security without his knowledge as she had very quickly teleported out.
Then she placed a call to her dad, and while they were waiting Lance finally got to speak, and the first question he asked was,
"Who was that guy and what business do you have with him?" she took a deep breath and calmly replied
"The guys I have business with is solely my business and has not a think too do with you"
"We were going on a date!"
"And I am my own person; you cannot just go on one date with me and start acting like some obsessive leach and expect another one"
"I am not acting like an obsessive leach" she sized him up and said,
"How would you explain how you're acting now, maybe a child, clinging unto thy mom"
"Please Serena, let's just sort this amicably"
"Unfortunately for you, I do not have the time" and at that moment a black Lamborghini pulled over right in front of her she entered it, and off she was, but Serena did not notice the sad expression of longing he used to gaze at her towards the last few seconds.
She was once again in the mansion, and she settled into her bed and dozed off far quicker than usual, she was totally famished after everything and the cherry on the cupcake was this 'date', all she could think of was catching up on some sleep.
Seraphina walked into the room a bit later, hoping to talk only to see Serena totally asleep, then decided to let the matter rest and hence returned to her very own bed, in her luxurious bedroom thinking about it all, the pain she might never get rid of.
The next days sun rays graced the sky, paving the way for yet another daybreak, on this day Serena woke up before everyone, got ready and left the house before everyone, she went straight to the office then began to monitor the events during the days she was away.
The sales had dropped and production had slowed, but a huge amount had been accumulated in their bank, usually this meant it was time for her to release another product, but the month was nearing its end and they had to make a deposit for the loan she collected; hence they would save for now, but first thing next moth they would release another product.
Since they had some time before the next release, this time she wanted to involve the whole staff in the next release, including designers, programmers and engineers as well.
They had developed an idea to create an aesthetic toy, most of their products were geared towards higher ages and it was about time they began to increase their target audience, after discarding many ideas it was decided it would look like a furry ball, with eyes and a mouth, it was designed to improve communication skills of young kids, and had a lot of fun games you could play with.
It seemed to be a good idea, but the question was, practically how much of that idea could they bring to life, and hence she left them with that project, and went to sort out her paper work. Later on, her secretary walked into her office and said to her that Lance had come looking for her, she directed her to let him in, and when he came, he had a bouquet of roses, he said slowly,
"Serena, I'm sorry for how yesterday turned out, and I brought you these flowers because…"
"Hold that thought, it's okay, I bear no hard feelings" Lance let out a sigh of relief
"Why don't I make it up to you, with…"
"If it is another date then no, two wrongs do not make a right"
"But this date is going to be something to remember, nothing like the other one"
"What was your plan, when you took me to that neighborhood, why did you not just tell me it was an infiltration" the office was dead silent, that even if a pin fell everyone would hear the sound, then Lance replied,
"The place is governed by the fae, and my mom wanted them to help her in the war" She looked at him anger in her eyes, that was the very war Serena sacrificed herself to stop, now she was used to aide it's course,
"When were you going to tell me about this" she asked, far calmer than he expected, then he replied,
"I don' think there was a need to tell you since there was no progress, plus I ran away from home, and it might take some time but she'll eventually find me just to ask about the mission, Elaine does not care if I'm eating or sleeping all she wants is to be sure I'm doing as I am told, I do not think you'll ever understand since you had such a supportive family" Serena said,
"Lance, we both know I deserve to know you were putting me into something like that. And you cannot say I have a better family without experiencing how it has been for me. Do you think I can ever trust you to not be hiding something from me? to not be using me for one of your mothers' personal vendettas?"
"Please, just give me one more chance" then Serena smiled, looked him in the eyes and said to him,
"I'm sorry but please just find someone else" and unusually, Lance walked away, defeat written all over his face.
Serena went back to work as soon as he walked out, she was not going to let another guy do to her what Caspian did, and certainly did not want to be in her sister's situation.
Later on, when the sun was setting and the sky was painted orange, she went back to her house, and there began plotting against Elaine, she had to find a way to get inside the mansion undetected and come out, still undetected while carrying a woman who was probably under severe monitory and could not even walk, this one was going to be difficult.
Or, there was the option of storming into the house and forcefully taking her mother, but that involved a lot of undesirable attachments including, first and foremost the resistance from the whole Keepers of Light faction, then next the great jeopardy that would do to the security of her mothers custody, if she used brute force once she was out of reach they might come in and take her mother back.
And regardless of how hard she looked at it, her mother had some use to the keepers of light, one they were hiding, and she could only link it to the fact that her mother was a Starweaver.
And that was when it dawned upon her, that when Diane had seen her mother, that was possibly the best time to take her, but she did not, probably hinting at some thing she needed to consider.
…
In the Blackwood mansion, looking a total black, with gold highlights, but everything in the house just felt more gloomy, Seraphina refused to eat drink or interact with anyone, she had been growing worse everyday and Jack did not know what to do about it anymore, Raven high already placed a call to him stating she would not graduate, and when he asked her to go and give a reasonable explanation for her absence she blatantly refused.
Seraphina, was going to get her revenge, on the entire vampire settlement for everything, and afterwards she would get her revenge on that wolf, the werewolf king, Vincent.
But to do that she needed to get stronger, she needed to get at lest half the strength her sister had, but that was easier said than done, and the last place she would begin that was in such a high-class neighborhood, she was going to the woods, where she would kill monsters to get stronger.
She donned the bronze armor and made a break for it, headed towards the deep ends of the woods, unbeknownst to anyone she knew, she ran so quick all the cameras could catch was her afterimage.
After getting away from the CCTV footage range, she decided to change her direction, just in case her father saw the afterimages and decided to go after her.
She went in the direction opposite to where she met the werewolf, the swampy valley part of the forest, not knowing what was in stock for her, not knowing the snakelike existences that were subjects to Heather's family suspected her of being the one who claimed possession of their princess.
