The crowd erupted in cheers as Serena could feel her cheeks turn hotter. Seriously, was she that breathtaking, from having no love life worthy of speaking of whatsoever, now two guys asked her out on the same day!
She stood up, and he helped her up, then spoke.
"Let me guess, you've never danced." His voice was extremely deep, and she could only describe it as getting underneath her skin.
"How did you know?"
"Well, for starters, you're stepping on my foot."
"Oh, I'm sorry…"
"Just relax and go according to my flow", Serena found herself lost in the music as he held her hand and lay his other hand on her waist, while she put her hand on his shoulder.
And they both just stared into each other's eyes for a time, then he broke the ice, saying.
"I'm Caspian Raven, and oh, fair lady of the south, may you care to give me your name?" His sophisticated voice and British accent made her heart flutter.
"I'm Serena, and what gives you the notion I'm from the south?"
"Ain't it obvious, the most promising Den Ridge student ever, I was particularly interested in your middle school graduation project. I know you're going to make waves someday."
Serena turned beet red. It's not every day such a voice gives one compliments as smoothly as what she was receiving, but on the other side of things, Seraphina gazed at them now and then, but strangely, Serena did not notice.
Soon the lunch was over, and while walking out the door, Caspian gave her his number and signaled her to call him.
Serena found herself in a reverie after he left, unable to get his sweet talk out of her head. She was contemplating whether or not to call him right after he left. His voice was like that of an angel, ever so appealing. But Seraphina did not let her stay in her trance for too long.
"Serena, stop daydreaming about your prince charming. We have to get ready for my date."
"Really, can I not just wear what I'm wearing right now?" Then Seraphina squinted and looked at her, so judgmental like as though she said the most outrageous thing imaginable.
"I'll pretend you just didn't say that." Then Seraphina walked away.
*Sigh* Her sister was obsessed with a boy, and now she was dragged into it.
That night, they both walked out of the house dressed like fifth-generation mean girls, Serena in a pale pink T-shirt that was at least two sizes too small and a matching frilled mini-skirt, a black belt with silver spikes on it, and baby pink pumps. Leaving her hair in a high ponytail.
Seraphina, on the other hand, wore a black crop top, lacy black tights, and knee-high boots coupled with a tight black skirt. This match-up accentuated her figure; her hair was left in a side part this time, and they both looked slay.
"I don't know why I let you talk me into this," Serena said as they walked out.
"Girl, chill. I have to admit your usual dressing is so old school, you're a teen only once, learn to party."
"This shirt is killing me. If this is what partying is like, then what is torture?"
"Beauty is pain"
"Seraphina!"
"Shut up, we are running late. And I did something pretty wild with the Lambo."
Just then, the Lamborghini parked right in front of them, but this time it was pop pink all over,
"I'm simply speechless. Just don't know what to say.
"Then don't, you're 16 and nagging like a housewife wife" Then Seraphina practically pushed her sister into the car and then began to fawn over Lance like she was some angel.
Right after tossing her into the car, this girl simply had no remorse. While Serena was in her thoughts, the car stopped at the lights' mansion, which was far bigger and grander than even the mayor's home."
And that's when she spotted Lance, his shirt was partially unbuttoned, and his hair looked like it was combed back by his hand; he looked so casual but alluring. If Caspian was handsome, he was just HOT!
Seraphina was first to step out of the car and began seductively strutting to him, then Lance walked past her and opened the car door for Serena. He then reached for her hand and spoke.
"Hold my hand, and I'll take you on an adventure." When she heard him, the first thing she thought was, When did his voice become so sexy?
Seraphina looked at them from the background, and if looks could kill, Serena would have been killed a hundred and ten times over.
Oblivious to the tension, they continued to speak and laugh casually, while Caspian was rather overwhelming to Serena; Lance just made it easy to talk.
Then Seraphina came between the two and spoke
"Serena, this draws the line; open seduction has limitations."
Leaving Serena shocked, was it her or Seraphina who needed a lecture on open seduction? Obviously the latter, and like those burst moments where she briefly became someone else, she shouted.
"Seraphina, I have had it with your antics. Seriously, find someone interested in you and stop fighting with uninterested guys who talk to me. Have you ever wondered why they don't talk to you? This could probably be the reason. I am not kissing your boyfriend or anything. Why are you being so possessive?"
Seraphina stood there in shock for a moment, then came back at her
"Do you think you can handle me! Let's see how many guys will come to you once those locks are gone and you're bald!"
Then she lunged at Serena, making her brace herself for the impact, but Serena felt nothing, and when she turned to see what was going on, her sister was subdued by Lance. effortlessly
