An hour later, the iron door to the underground chamber opened once again.
The air inside was still cold, and the suppression runes carved across the walls and floor continued to glow steadily. The demon girl remained chained to the central pillar, her head lowered. This time, however, her breathing was more stable.
Ethan and Amber stepped inside together.
As the door shut behind them, the faint sound of locking mechanisms echoed through the chamber.
The demon girl's fingers twitched.
Slowly, her eyelids lifted.
Her dark pupils focused, and for a brief second confusion flickered across her face. Then memory returned, and her jaw tightened.
Ethan stood calmly a few steps away.
Amber remained slightly behind him, watching carefully.
The Soul Stamp embedded within her stirred. A faint pulse of light flickered deep within her eyes.
Ethan spoke first.
"What is your name?"
She instinctively tried to remain silent.
The seal tightened.
