"Miranda.. I am gonna ask again.."
Ethan's voice was calm, but his expression was solemn. He looked down at the little girl standing in front of him, holding her hands together tightly.
"Are you sure you want it... It's useless for you.."
His eyes searched her face, as if trying to find even the slightest doubt.
"Yes daddy... Please let me take it... I swear I am gonna keep it safe.." Miranda spoke softly, her eyes sparkling with excitement. They shone like tiny stars, full of hope and eagerness. That innocent look alone made Ethan sigh helplessly.
Slowly, he reached into his sleeve and pulled something out.
It was a flute.
A beautiful one.
The flute was long and slender, crafted from polished ivory-white wood. Fine golden patterns ran along its surface like flowing vines. Tiny runes were engraved near the mouthpiece, glowing faintly as if they were alive.
