"Excellent, at least you've shown that you have value to continue living," Kel'Thuzad interrupted Nisha.
He knew the history of Atu'aman better than Nisha; he merely wanted to know what these Vulpera knew about Atu'aman.
"Listen closely, little one, you need to do something for me.
Of course, win or lose, I will let your people go."
"Whatever your request, I will do my best to fulfill it."
Nisha secretly breathed a sigh of relief; at least her people were temporarily out of danger.
"But before I carry out the mission, may I see my people?"
Kel'Thuzad granted Nisha's request, then threw her into the area where the captives were held before drifting away.
In the eerie cells of Naxxramas, Nisha finally saw her companions.
Mirra was currently trying to bite through the cell bars with her teeth, but after trying for a long time, besides hurting her gums, she couldn't even leave a scratch on the solid metal bars.
"Alright… this thing can't be bitten through."
Mirra sat down on the floor in frustration.
Compared to the wooden cages used by the Faithless slaver teams, this cell could be called indestructible.
"Mirra! Kiro! Are you alright?"
"Nisha?! You escaped?"
Mirra was overjoyed, but immediately she lowered her voice, though her gasp still made the Vulpera behind her gather around.
"Is it Nisha?"
"This is great!"
After confirming it was indeed Nisha, everyone's faces lit up with joy.
Although the Scourge didn't beat and kick captured prisoners like the Naga Faithless, being confined in such a clearly unnatural and eerie city still made the Vulpera feel somewhat uneasy.
But one of the Vulpera was full of worry—Kiro motioned for his people to quiet down.
He walked to the cage and said to Nisha with a hint of helplessness, "Sorry, I've burdened you again this time."
However, he wasn't in a hurry to ask Nisha about the specific situation.
Instead, after letting the others disperse, he quietly asked, "What exactly happened, Nisha? It's not that easy to escape from the prisons here."
As the leader of the Vulpera caravan, Kiro had some discernment.
He recognized that all the surrounding cells had very sophisticated magic to prevent escapes.
If Nisha had truly escaped from the cell, then these counter-spells should have been triggered long ago.
Although he greatly trusted Nisha's abilities, he found it hard to believe that Nisha could have come to their area unharmed by herself.
Nisha knew Kiro had guessed some of the truth, so she could only tell him honestly, "I made a deal with a Lich… he seems to be a high-ranking individual.
I made a deal with him to secure your safety."
"Are you crazy?!"
Kiro looked at Nisha in shock.
"Those who become Liches are all ruthless mages with extraordinary magical skills.
If you work for him, you might not even know how you died!"
"We have no choice, Kiro," Nisha earnestly persuaded him, "If my life can be exchanged for yours, then it's worth it."
"You can't calculate the price like that! And, Nisha, are you really sure these undead will let us go?"
Kiro couldn't bear to see Nisha die in vain.
"That's better than waiting here to die, Kiro, you understand."
Nisha's words left Kiro completely speechless.
The caravan leader silently looked at Nisha, already understanding her resolve.
"Wait!"
A voice called out to Nisha, who was about to leave.
Mirra clung to the cell door; she had been eavesdropping for a long time.
She didn't want Nisha to go on a dangerous mission alone.
Kiro still needed to stay to reassure the other Vulpera, but she could help Nisha.
"Count me in too; this way, I can at least give you a hand!"
"This…" Nisha hesitated for a moment.
She wasn't sure whether it was safer to stay by her side or remain in the cell, but soon a cold voice entered her ears, helping her make up her mind.
"Take this little one with you; she can help you."
-----------------
And when Nisha learned the specifics of the mission, she began to regret bringing Mirra along.
"Take this item, blend in with the Faithless' slaves, and then find an opportunity to present it to the Naga ruler, Kotek."
Kel'Thuzad tossed a prismatic gem to Nisha, intricately carved with serpentine patterns, clearly a treasure from Naga civilization.
Nisha held the gem.
Her scavenger's intuition told her this item was more than just an ordinary treasure.
It contained a powerful force, and even sealed within the gem, when Nisha held it, she felt electricity constantly surging, and even her fur stood on end.
Kel'Thuzad's request also troubled her.
"Archlich, blending in with the slaves isn't difficult, but if I carry such a treasure, it will be snatched by greedy slave traders before I can present it to that tyrant, making it impossible to guarantee its whereabouts."
"You don't need to worry about that."
The Archlich was clearly prepared.
He beckoned, and a Naga walked out from one side of the hall.
She flicked her tongue and gave Nisha and Mirra a benevolent smile.
"Oh, hello there, my two lovely darlings."
Mirra shivered and hid behind Nisha.
She sensed that this Naga seemed different from ordinary Nagas.
Although she tried to act like a normal Naga, Mirra always felt that she was like a puppet on strings, with an indescribable strangeness in every movement.

"Farina, how's this body?"
"Oh, it's passable.
Although the imitation is still a bit unpracticed, it should be fine after a period of familiarization."
The Naga's body twisted 180 degrees and spoke chilling words.
The Naga's shell was no longer controlled by its original owner.
The Black Witch Farina had dominated her soul and body, turning her into her favored puppet.
She didn't forget to look at the two little foxes with delighted eyes, "Hmm, such beautiful fur, Archlich, I really like these two little helpers you've given me."
The knowledge extracted from those Naga souls also showed that the Nagas preferred Vulpera slaves with vibrant fur, which is why Kel'Thuzad chose Nisha and Mirra to carry out this mission.
As for Nisha's concern about not being able to draw Kotek's attention to the gem, it wouldn't happen at all.
As long as Farina could bring these two foxes and the gem near the heart of the Naga empire—the Tower of the Awakener—Kotek himself would come looking for them.
Kotek had craved the power to conquer everything for too long, and Kel'Thuzad understood the behavior of such individuals perfectly.
After Farina left with Nisha and Mirra, Kel'Thuzad summoned another cage, sealed with multiple magical enchantments, within which a Naga was imprisoned.
He gazed at Kel'Thuzad and said, "You are sending those two children to their deaths."
"They certainly won't die, Guardian Warrick," Kel'Thuzad chatted leisurely with the Naga, as if they were old friends.
"On the contrary, if you don't cooperate with us soon, your god will die."
"I cannot agree to your terms."
Warrick flatly rejected Kel'Thuzad.
Kel'Thuzad was not angered.
He merely beckoned with a finger and retrieved a serpentine emblem with patterns similar to the gem he had just given Nisha.
Warrick stared at the stone and warned in a low voice, "You had best not touch that dark power.
You cannot bear the consequences."
"Darkness?"
Kel'Thuzad seemed to have heard something amusing.
His skeletal hand suddenly gripped the serpentine gem, and surging magical power erupted.
His immense power was rapidly destroying the gem.
In Warrick's shocked eyes, the sealing stone, which he had protected for centuries, was crushed into dust by Kel'Thuzad before him.
Warrick was both shocked and incredibly puzzled.
"You… why did you destroy it?!"
"Because only then can you see true darkness."
Kel'Thuzad scattered the gem's powder on the ground and simultaneously released Warrick from his cage.
Before Warrick could even struggle, he was teleported out of Naxxramas by a massive magical force and dropped somewhere in Vol'dun.
Before he lost consciousness, he only heard Kel'Thuzad's voice, "I hope Kotek enjoys the gift I'm sending him…"
--------
When Warrick was awakened by Vol'dun's scorching sun, he found himself confined in a prisoner cart, and the surrounding Unbelievers had clearly figured out his identity, enthusiastically discussing what rewards they could receive for handing him over to Kotek.
But Warrick didn't even have the heart to worry about his own safety; his mind was a mess, completely unable to understand what Kel'Thuzad truly intended.
"He destroyed the keystone that unlocks the seal... which will only make the seal harder to open. Does that mean he doesn't care about what's inside at all?"
Warrick couldn't comprehend this. He had originally thought Kel'Thuzad was an ambitious schemer like Kotek, aiming to control the slumbering, god-slaying dark power within Atu'aman, but now it seemed the other party didn't consider that thing important at all.
However, this still disheartened Warrick. They had set up the seal and keystone because after Sethraliss and her followers detonated Atu'aman's power to perish with Mythrax, their remaining strength was insufficient to completely kill the still active Mythrax.
So they had hoped to delay Mythrax's resurgence as much as possible through the seal, and one day in the future, break the seal and completely kill this monster.
But unexpectedly, before they could permanently deal with Mythrax, Kotek, due to the fall of the Serpent Loa Sethraliss, was no longer loyal to their Loa. Instead, he incited a large number of his fanatical followers to drive the Serpent Loa's loyal believers out of the temple, establishing the Unbeliever Empire.
After that, the three Guardians were destined to never reunite, and their vision and efforts came to naught.
Guardian Sulsis bore the brunt, being the first to fall under the Unbelievers' blades. However, the wise Sulsis had foreseen all of this before his death; he hid the keystone he was responsible for in Vol'dun's yellow sands.
And now, centuries have passed. Kotek has not only not reined himself in, but has become even more tyrannical, not only extensively capturing Vol'dun's other races as slaves, but also attempting to awaken Mythrax, who slumbers beneath Atu'aman's Great Pyramid, and use his power to conquer all of Zandalar.
By the time Warrick was brought to the Tower of the Awakener, now the core heartland of the Unbeliever Empire, his former close friend and companion, now his adversary and enemy, had been waiting there for a long time.
"Hiss, hiss, Warrick, why has a high priest of your noble status fallen to unconsciousness in the wilderness? Is it because your Loa no longer protects you?"
Kotek looked at Warrick in the prisoner cart, mocking his current predicament.
Warrick showed no anger at Kotek's gloating. He calmly met Kotek's gaze, completely unconcerned about his status as a prisoner, "Kotek, your rebellious actions will surely face retribution sooner or later."
"Retribution?"
Kotek flicked his tongue, as if he had heard the biggest joke. The smile on his serpent face could no longer be suppressed, "I only see our people's path of conquest right before us!"
He spread his right claw, and two keystones, symbolizing the Guardians' identity, floated quietly in his palm, "Do you see, Warrick?! With just yours, my dominion will be complete!"
"Hopeless."
Warrick denounced Kotek's foolishness, "If it weren't for Lady Sethraliss back then, we would have long been annihilated in Mythrax's slaughter. Yet you completely disregard your identity as a believer and old ties, ignorantly attempting to control power you don't understand."
"Enough nonsense."
Kotek sneered and stepped forward, using magic to search Warrick's body. But moments later, his expression became shocked and puzzled, "The keystone... you didn't bring it with you?"
"I destroyed it. This way, ambitious schemers like you will never be able to unseal Atu'aman."
Warrick answered Kotek's question with a normal expression. Kotek's expression in that instant became incredibly twisted and unwilling, "No... no, how is this possible, this cannot be true! Damn it!"
To Warrick's surprise, Kotek seemed to fall into some extreme emotion. He didn't even try to retaliate against Warrick, but instead left the square escorted by his retinue, returning to his palace.
Warrick watched Kotek's retreating figure. In the dark temple gate, for a moment, he seemed to see shadows come alive, growing wriggling tentacles.
However, in the blink of an eye, everything seemed to return to normal. The surrounding world showed no changes, only the unceasing thunder striking the spires around the Tower of the Awakener. Warrick could only helplessly pray to his Loa, "Lady Sethraliss, please save your unworthy children once more..."
Unfortunately, besides the deafening thunder, the Loa he believed in would no longer answer his prayers.

Nisha and Mirra had their legs shackled, and their combat leather armor was completely removed, replaced with the thin gauze worn by maids.
As Farina expected, their rare and beautiful fur color made them quite sought after among the Unbeliever nobles. As for the Naga Guardian's keystone, it was naturally handed over to Kotek.
However, the price was that both of them were also treated as tribute items and sent into the Unbeliever's palace.
They were currently confined in a small room, awaiting their fate. However, those Naga Unbelievers didn't treat them badly; aside from having no weapons or tools, the room was already filled with food and drinks.
Little master, there's more to this chapter, please click next page to continue reading, it's even more exciting!
Mirra couldn't care less at this moment. Grabbing a roasted hyena leg, she began to tear into it without regard for her image—after being captured to Naxxramas, she hadn't had a proper meal. Now, seeing these delicacies made her stomach protest wildly.
Nisha didn't have such a good appetite. She looked at the plates piled with food before her, but still worried about the safety of her people, "I hope Kiro and the others are alright."
"Oh, Nisha, eat something first. At least die with a full stomach." Mirra ate with oil dripping from her mouth, "I heard that after those Naga nobles capture Vulpera, they'll bite our necks with their fangs during banquets, then inject venom and slowly enjoy us. Hmm, dying that way shouldn't be too painful, right? I just wonder if those hateful Scourge are trustworthy."
"Then why are your hands still trembling?" Nisha looked at Mirra's trembling little hands holding the chicken leg, asking back with a mix of exasperation and amusement.
Mirra widened her eyes, "Because I'm very afraid of dying—Nisha, are we really unable to escape this time?"
Nisha sighed. Both of them were now shackled, their weapons and equipment confiscated. Trying to sneak out of the heavily guarded palace was a pipe dream, "Perhaps... I should have left you in Naxxramas. Then you wouldn't have lost your life with me."
"Oh, oh, oh, it seems you two have a big misunderstanding about the Scourge?"
Farina's voice reached Nisha's ears. Nisha jolted, looking around, but didn't find the strange Naga's figure.
"Stop looking around—stretch out your hand."
Nisha did as she was told. Then, a black spider as large as her palm dropped from the ceiling, landing steadily in her palm. Mirra was startled by this large patterned spider, but she immediately covered her mouth with her hand to prevent herself from accidentally screaming.
This black spider seemed to possess considerable intelligence. After observing Nisha's palm for a moment, it jumped to the ground and bared its fangs at their shackles.
The dark green, deadly venom fell onto the steel, emitting wisps of white smoke. Soon, this tiny bit of venom corroded a large gash in the steel, even making its overall structure quite brittle. Nisha gently pulled with her hand, and the shackles on her leg broke open.
By the time Nisha looked at the spider again, she found it had disappeared, leaving only Farina's words still echoing in her and Mirra's ears.
"You two find a place to hide well. A good show is about to begin in this temple."
In a secret chamber of the temple, Kotek dismissed his attendants and stood alone in the empty room, still gripping the keystone in his hand, his body trembling uncontrollably after the servants had left.
"This… this isn't possible…"
Kotek looked at the two now meaningless keystones in his hand, a sudden blankness flashing in his eyes, as the whispers once again echoed in his ears.
"Embrace the darkness, for hope has long since died."
"Your loss of faith in the divine is merely due to Sethraliss's weakness; gaze into the abyss, and you shall receive a true god's response."
"Get out of my head!"
Kotek suddenly erupted in rage, smashing the two keystones into the shadowy area illuminated by the candlelight in the secret chamber.
"Heh heh."
A sinister laugh emanated from the shadows, and a robed humanoid figure slowly emerged from the shadows on the ground. His withered hand emitted a strange force field, drawing the two keystones, which had fallen to the ground, to float above his palm.
"My esteemed Emperor, what troubles you so? Your humble servant is willing to share your worries."
Kotek stared at the figure's face, which was impossible to discern, a face beneath the cowl swirling like mist. "The keystones are destroyed! We have lost the ability to control Mythrax!"
The three Guardian keystones ensured that Mythrax would remain in slumber, unaffected by external influences. Missing one keystone would prevent the seal from being perfectly lifted. Forcibly breaking the seal on the Great Pyramid would only cause the entire pyramid to collapse, burying Mythrax's resting place forever.
This was the Guardian Sulsis's last resort, a desperate measure. After the seal of Atu'aman was lost, Mythrax would awaken sooner or later, and the day he awakened would be the day of destruction for all living beings in Vol'dun.
Kotek had originally intended to collect all three Guardian keystones, then use them to enter the seal, and only after confirming complete control over Mythrax's power would he fully lift the seal, thus manipulating the terrifying power of this monster.
The cloaked figure, however, remained unfazed after hearing Kotek's words. The shadows beneath him churned and surged, lifting him before Kotek. "No need to worry, Emperor Kotek. The keystones are not a prerequisite for awakening Mythrax. As long as you wish, you can always control Mythrax's power in a better way."
Kotek, of course, knew the method the cloaked figure spoke of, but he had always hesitated, for it was his last safeguard, his assurance in case he found himself unable to control Mythrax's power.
But the cloaked figure's words struck directly at Kotek's heart, stirring the most sinful and base desires deep within his soul.
"As long as you sacrifice the soul of that useless god, you can obtain supreme power and also lift Mythrax's seal."
Whoosh!
Like a gust of wind, Kotek suddenly raised his head, and everything before him returned to normal. Only he remained in the secret chamber, as if the conversation that had just occurred was merely a hallucination.
"Sacrifice…"
Kotek once again raised his serpentine head, his terrifying vertical pupils veiled by a strange dark purple hue. The smile on his face grew increasingly wild. "Yes… devour everything of the divine, and I shall be a god!"
-----------------
"Boom!"
The tremor of thunder made Mirra shiver. She lay on the main beam of the temple, complaining softly, "These lightning rod-like spires are so noisy—no wonder everyone dislikes these naga. Just their love for making noise is enough to be annoying."
After shedding their leg shackles, the two cunning Vulpera climbed to the upper reaches of Kotek's palace to avoid the gaze of the naga guards.
"But these thunderclaps also provide us with cover," Nisha said, walking ahead of Mirra, a naga scimitar in her hand.
Just now, they had counted the intervals between the thunderclaps, and while the thunder roared outside, they rushed out of the room, ambushed the naga guards outside, stole their weapons, and hid.
However, other patrolling guards would eventually discover their escape. Nisha and Mirra could only find places to hide as best as they could. The small bodies of the Vulpera proved to be an unparalleled advantage at this time; places the naga could hardly reach, they could easily enter or climb.
Hiding and sneaking, they had safely reached the outer areas. At this point, they were only one step away from escaping this naga sacred ground.
Just then, Nisha suddenly gestured to Mirra, pointing downwards, motioning her to stay hidden.
They both looked down and saw many naga holding torches, moving through the dimly lit hall. The flickering flames cast intricate shadows in the spacious chamber, like a multitude of monstrous figures dancing on the walls.
"They found out we escaped?" Mirra whispered in surprise. "It shouldn't take this many people to catch just the two of us, right? Oh my goodness, half the palace guards must have been dispatched!"
Nisha, however, noticed something. She shook her head. "They probably aren't after us… They are all purposefully heading deeper into the temple—this might be an opportunity. Such a large deployment of people will likely create vacancies in other posts."
Once the red-furred Vulpera understood, she immediately led Mirra to the nearest skylight. She held the stolen scimitar in her mouth, opened the skylight, and leaped up.
After confirming there was no danger outside, she poked her head back in. "Hurry, there's no one outside after all."
Mirra was about to emulate Nisha's posture and leap out of the window, but just as she was poised, the entire temple suddenly trembled violently. Mirra lost her footing and fell from the beam.
This chapter is not finished, please click next page to continue reading!
"Mirra!"
Nisha frantically reached out to grab Mirra, but she was a step too late, only able to watch helplessly as Mirra fell from the rooftop.
Whoosh!
A white silk thread shot out from the skylight, accurately hitting Mirra in mid-air, firmly sticking to her, then quickly pulling her back, yanking her back up.
"Ah—!"
A scream caught in her throat before she could even react. Mirra's vision blurred, and she found herself back on the rooftop. She looked up in a daze, only to see a smiling naga face.
"Hello there, little one." Farina retracted her spider silk, and incidentally, picked up the weak-kneed Mirra. "You two are quite resourceful. I told you to find a place to hide, and you ended up sneaking out."
"Uh, hello, Witch," Mirra replied with an awkward smile.
Nisha finally let out a sigh of relief. Although she hadn't noticed when Farina appeared, the other party had indeed saved Mirra's life. "Thank you, Lady Farina."
Farina held Mirra up to her eyes. "Although you two are very polite, mere verbal thanks won't satisfy a greedy spider lady~"
Her forked tongue flicked in and out near Mirra's cheek, making Mirra's fur stand on end. "We have information! Just now, we saw many naga heading deeper into the temple."
Farina's smile grew brighter. "Oh… is that so? It seems someone can't wait to have a taste."
The two Vulpera were somewhat confused by Farina's words, but just then, a clap of thunder caught their attention. Standing atop the towering temple, they cast their gaze towards the vast desert to the south.
In that extremely distant place, countless dark purple lightning bolts fell like rain. Even from such a distance, Nisha and Mirra could still feel a suffocating sense of oppression slowly spreading.
A primal fear, stemming from biological instinct, was taking over their minds. Nisha and Mirra both realized that something terrifying was awakening from the abyss beneath the earth.
The towering Atu'aman Great Pyramid had stood in Vol'dun for countless centuries, and even the fierce battle between Sethraliss and Mythrax the Unraveler back then couldn't shake its foundations. But when true, terrifying darkness descended, this magnificent structure left behind by the Titans finally let out a mournful cry of being overwhelmed.
The massive pyramid body trembled in the violent energy storm, and what prevented it from immediately collapsing was the super barrier formed by the three Naga Guardians, which combined the remaining energy of Atu'aman with the essence of Sethraliss. However, this barrier was now on the verge of collapse.
The blue barrier, gathering the power of the storm, was violently bombarded by dark purple energy arcs, causing the entire Atu'aman complex to shake violently. The wild animals living in these ruins were scattering in helpless panic, but most of them merely crashed like headless flies into the surging energy vortex, their flesh and bones instantly etched away, transforming into fundamental particles that merged into the storm.
Finally, the great barrier of Atu'aman could no longer withstand such a scale of Void impact. Annihilating Void energy surged out from all directions of this space, as if from nothingness, tearing the barrier to shreds.
The moment the barrier broke, accompanied by a dull roar, half of the Great Pyramid's main structure collapsed with a crash. Amidst the rubble and debris, a colossal body, as vast as a mountain, emerged through the swirling dust and thunder.
Ferocious carapaces, twisted appendages, and a pair of massive pincers capable of crushing loa—Mythrax the Unraveler rose again after centuries of slumber.
The instant this behemoth awakened, he retaliatorily unleashed powerful Void annihilation energy. A gigantic purple beam of light surged forth, instantly reducing all buildings and landforms in its path to ashes.
Once the energy dissipated, a scorched scar had been ploughed through the complex Atu'aman ruins by this energy. Mythrax roared, declaring his return in this manner, and instantly locked his gaze on the southeast.
Beyond the continuous mountain ranges to the southeast lay the last Titan Seal he needed to destroy. Once he destroyed the Titan Seal, he could release his master and spread the ultimate corruption across Azeroth.
Furthermore, he had sensed G'huun's summons. This evil god was calling Mythrax, calling his most powerful Faceless One general.
"Proceed to the Tower of the Awakener, and together with Kotek the God-Eater, destroy Zandalar and welcome the arrival of your master."
This command from G'huun caused Mythrax's steps to falter slightly. He pondered for a moment, his gaze repeatedly turning towards Zuldazar in the southeast, but ultimately, he changed direction and walked straight towards Sethraliss's temple in the northernmost part of Vol'dun.
His towering body showed no signs of sluggishness; even in the vast desert, he advanced at an astonishing speed, virtually ignoring most obstacles in his path.
Soon, even Nisha and Mirra, standing atop the Sethraliss Temple, could glimpse the silhouette of this hideous beast.
Nisha and Mirra's bodies involuntarily trembled at that moment. Nisha looked at her sword-wielding right hand in astonishment, seemingly unable to believe she would react so poorly.
She swallowed, her voice dry, "What... what is that monster?"
Farina's voice, however, remained playful, "In your myths and legends, you should call him the Unraveler—yes, that's right, the very Unraveler you're thinking of, the monster who slew the snake loa Sethraliss and turned all of Vol'dun into a desert."
Mirra was completely stunned. She stared blankly as Mythrax approached at a speed that completely defied the laws of physics, feeling her heart almost accelerate out of her chest, "Is that really true?! I thought that was just a scary story to frighten children!"
A monster that could kill a loa?! What a joke! If she had known this earlier, Mirra would have rather ridden a alpaca caravan headfirst into the swamps of Nazmir!
"But shouldn't it be dead? How could it..." Nisha could barely form words. She couldn't imagine how to fight such a monster.
"Such things aren't so easy to kill. Besides, the snake loa Sethraliss was hardly a particularly troublesome opponent for him. Sethraliss was only able to defeat him thanks to the power of that pyramid."
As Farina spoke, countless tragic wails emanated from the temple, which was fused with the mountain, followed by a captivating and strange energy fluctuation that almost stopped the hearts of mortals Nisha and Mirra for a moment.
"Looks like we should go, little ones. Hold on tight, if you fall, I can't save you~"
Farina chuckled, a dark shadow flashed across the sky, and a huge Gargoyle swooped down, lifting the three of them into the air and flying at an extremely fast speed towards the northern sea.
When they were some distance from the mountain where Sethraliss Temple was located, one side of that magnificent mountain suddenly experienced violent tremors and a landslide. After half the mountain nearly collapsed, Nisha and Mirra watched in shock as a giant serpent, almost as large as Mythrax, emerged.
"Is that... the snake Loa Sethraliss?" Mirra wasn't sure if she was mistaken, but it looked almost identical to the snake Loa from the legends passed down through generations in Vol'dun.
The only difference was that Sethraliss was described in legends as a gentle and benevolent giant serpent, but now, Mirra could only see endless savagery and malevolence in the giant python's eyes. The surging malice of the Loa almost froze Mirra's soul.
"As expected, it resurrected as a Dark Loa." Farina's snake eyes rotated rapidly, and she shared everything she saw with Naxxramas.
The city of the Scourge floated above the sea north of Vol'dun. The Archlich also observed everything happening there through Farina's witchcraft. He looked disdainfully at the dark giant serpent in the image, "Resurrection? It's merely a crude sacrificial ritual."
With the Archlich's knowledge, he easily saw that this Loa, seemingly a resurrected snake Loa, was merely a monster forcibly hybridized by dark power. The true soul of the snake Loa was not within it; it was just a fool driven mad by his own desires and ambitions.
He thought he could wield this dark divine power, but unfortunately, it was merely wishful thinking on his part. When he tried to devour Sethraliss's remains, he had already fallen into the trap of darkness; he had instead become the sacrifice for the resurrection of this remnant.
Presumably, most of the unbelievers in that temple, along with Kotek, had also become fodder for the Dark Loa, their flesh and souls completely consumed as the first grand meal upon the Dark snake loa's revival.
But the Dark loa currently appeared quite enraged. The Void energy within him, fused with Sethraliss's lightning power, almost instantly summoned a large area of Void lightning, engulfing the entire Tower of the Awakener.
"Why is Sethraliss's soul gone?!"
The wrath of a true god echoed from the endless Void. He had painstakingly plotted for so long, wanting to create a monster that truly fused with the soul of a loa, not this mere imitation.
Above the Tower of the Awakener, the clouds were torn apart by the power of the Void, and an eye as large as a mountain peered through. The Naga unbelievers on the ground were all in a panic, but they rapidly twisted and fell into depravity in the Void's radiance—since their god had escaped, new sacrifices were needed to compensate.
This was the cruel law of the Dark Empire.
