Arthas paused, glancing at Tulani, which made the Soulbinder think she had said something wrong, but Arthas merely said, "Perhaps."
This abrupt answer left Tulani very puzzled, and she pressed, "So, that's it?"
"Otherwise, how should I answer? Who knows what she'll be like when she truly grows up—as I said, I'm not a teacher, just a guide, teaching her what I've learned."
Tulani bit her lip. "I thought you knew everything."
"How could I know everything? I'm not a prophet; I'm just an ordinary prince."
Arthas waved his hand at the remark, then continued walking forward.
But Tulani didn't think so at all. An ordinary prince? Would an ordinary prince know everything happening on another planet?
These past few days, Tulani had been thinking. She felt that her survival from the demons might have been an accident, but everything else likely had a reason.
Who exactly were those Death Knights loyal to a paladin, and who saved her from the demons?
Arthas seemed to have already found a way to Draenor, or the Outland, but what was he hiding, and why did he want to meet the prophet?
Too many questions without answers or reasons swirled in Tulani's mind, and eventually, she chose to stop thinking.
One reason was that Arthas's Holy Light made Tulani believe that this prince would never be an evil person. The second was that if she truly had a chance to meet the prophet, even if Arthas had some issues, the prophet would surely see through them.
Moreover, Tulani genuinely wanted to secure a new homeland for her people, rather than just eking out an existence in the increasingly harsh Outland.
Arthas had mentioned to her that the land of Azeroth was vast, and if they were willing to form an alliance with Azeroth, the Draenei could easily obtain enough territory to recuperate.
Most importantly, Azeroth shared the same enemy as the Draenei: the Burning Legion, which rampaged across worlds. Although Tulani didn't know why, Azeroth seemed to have an undying hatred for the Burning Legion.
"If only all of this were true," Tulani thought silently.
The future Arthas painted for her was almost too beautiful, making Tulani, who had endured countless hardships and sorrows, somewhat hesitant to trust it.
Arthas, perhaps aware of Tulani's thoughts or considering the Draenei's current situation, did not rush or force Tulani to make a choice. The real reason he kept this Draenei by his side was to ensure her safety.
The day the Dark Portal reopened would not be long, but Arthas first needed to ensure that Azeroth would not face any immediate turmoil.
The peaceful days continued for a while until a special "guest" arrived at the Secret Intelligence Agency in late autumn of that year.
Arthas, who was training Liadrin, stopped the spar upon hearing the news, tossed his longsword aside, and began reading the report.
This report was a comprehensive intelligence brief compiled by the Secret Intelligence Agency, covering not only the Eastern Kingdoms but also some changes in Kalimdor.
The Tauren had recovered from their past traumas, established a new home in Mulgore, and maintained their ancient customs.
The orcs and Trolls who participated in the Battle of Mount Hyjal had also completed the construction of their city, Orgrimmar. After a long period of wandering, the orcs and Dark Spear Trolls finally had a new home.
Daelin, who fully supported the Alliance navy, did not impulsively seek trouble with the orcs. Instead, along the coast of Kalimdor, with Theramore as a transfer point, he established many new strongholds and small ports, as well as one or two brand new fortresses.
Daelin had a good grasp of the orcs' temperament. The locations of these fortresses were relatively "aggressive" but not enough to make the orcs feel truly threatened. Relying on trade and immigration, these port towns quickly prospered, and correspondingly, Theramore became even more bustling.
The business activities of the Goblins were self-evident, especially since Arthas himself controlled a very large Goblin syndicate.
As for their old friends, the Night Elves, after Mount Hyjal, their activities once again became dormant, as they had been before. They even sealed off Mount Hyjal and its surrounding forests, which had been polluted by the Burning Legion's invasion.
However, it seemed the Night Elves had no intention of returning to Mount Hyjal in the short term. Instead, they established new habitats along the Blackshore and on the islands west of the Kalimdor continent.
At this rate, it wouldn't be long before Fandral Staghelm would plant a new World Tree on that island. However, without the blessings of the Dragon Aspects and the nourishment of the Well of Eternity, this World Tree, named Teldrassil, would face immense difficulties from the moment of its birth.
It seemed to be a microcosm of Night Elf society. After the Burning Legion's invasion reshaped the Night Elf society that had endured for ten millennia, they were rebuilding their home amidst the ruins.
And this mysterious guest found by the Secret Intelligence Agency was a Night Elf. Her name and identity were unknown because she was found in Silverpine Forest in a critically injured state.
Although she quickly received medical treatment from the Secret Intelligence Agency because she was a Night Elf, even after her physical wounds were healed, this elven lady remained in a coma and could not wake up.
This matter was eventually included in the report and submitted to Arthas for review. Perhaps because of this incident, the report arrived very suddenly and urgently, interrupting Arthas and Liadrin's training.
After reading the report, Arthas apologized to Liadrin, saying, "Sorry, an urgent situation has come up, and I need to deal with it. While I'm away, if you have any questions, you can ask anyone in the Silver Hand."
Liadrin nodded, about to leave, but Arthas called her back.
"Wait, your training curriculum is sufficient. You are qualified to participate in this matter."
Liadrin pointed to herself, a little bewildered. She had thought Arthas was going to handle official Lordaeron matters, but she didn't expect to have the opportunity to participate.
Arthas carefully re-read the few messages in the report concerning Silverpine Forest and Gilneas, his brow furrowing slightly. If it was truly as he suspected, then it was no longer just a matter for Lordaeron. Bringing Liadrin along would be a good opportunity to see what her current skill level was.
