Chapter 259 - Tulani

A message arrived from Thassarian, who was stationed at Icecrown Citadel.

"You said Lothar saved a Draenei?"

Arthas's expression was a little startled; he had already done his best to keep the Scourge away from the Draenei's activity range, yet they still managed to run into one?

While this wasn't a major problem, it might sow a small hidden danger for the future.

And the biggest variable in this was the Draenei prophet, Velen.

Even Arthas wasn't sure what this prophet could see, or what he already knew.

He couldn't guarantee that this prophet would approve of his methods, because everything happening now shouldn't have happened originally. Arthas himself couldn't guarantee whether the future would be a victory or a defeat; he was merely developing everything in the direction he believed had the greatest chance.

As for Lothar saving someone, Arthas wasn't surprised at all. Or rather, if it didn't affect the entire plan, Lothar wouldn't stand idly by. This was related to his own character.

Moreover, Arthas hadn't strictly demanded that the Scourge avoid the Draenei. Otherwise, he would have specifically reminded Lothar and the others, instead of just drawing a zone and telling them to be careful.

Actually, it didn't matter. Because if Velen could truly see, then saving or not saving this Draenei was just an insignificant small matter.

But the most awkward thing was that Lothar and his group were the Scourge, messengers who spread death and plague, not angels who saved the dying and healed the wounded.

He did pull Tulani out of the demons' hands, but he couldn't heal Tulani's injuries.

What was worse, it seemed that to keep this Draenei alive, he first used Frost power to stop the bleeding from the wound, and then used the potion given by Kel'Thuzad.

Arthas knew without even thinking that the bottle of potion Kel'Thuzad gave might really be useful, but there was a greater possibility that it would cause the Draenei Lothar saved to die painlessly.

Unlike Lothar, who still retained the noble spirit and character he had in life, Kel'Thuzad was a subordinate completely loyal to the Lich King Arthas. He perfectly embodied the nature of the undead: efficient and cold-blooded.

There was a 100% chance of death, a 90% chance of immediate, painless death, and a 10% chance of prolonging the Draenei's life, but making her experience more pain.

Kel'Thuzad was always a Lich. His attitude towards life couldn't be called contempt, but it was definitely indifference. Moreover, in his view, Lothar's actions were worse than letting Tulani die and then turning her into a Death Knight.

Arthas tapped his forehead with his knuckles, "I'll come to Icecrown Citadel… No, never mind. You bring that Draenei here to me. If she, a living person, stays in Icecrown Citadel, she probably won't be far from becoming undead."

"Will my presence in Shadowforge City cause unnecessary trouble?" Thassarian knew that Arthas was currently conquering Blackrock Mountain, and his appearance there as a Death Knight would carry some risk of exposure.

"No, I'll find a place. It's better than Icecrown Citadel."

Arthas waved his hand, tearing open the veil between shadow and reality. He stepped into a spacious hall and broadcast his thoughts through the soul link, "Onyxia!"

"My master, what are your commands?"

A graceful figure outlined by swirling black mist appeared; it was Onyxia in her Countess form. "Everyone in Blackwing Lair awaits your command."

"Prepare a quiet room. A wounded person needs treatment."

Onyxia blinked, seemingly wondering who would require Arthas to personally treat them, but she quickly replied, "Of course, this way, my master."

A moment later, Arthas looked at the experimental table, which still seemed to have Wyrmling bloodstains that hadn't been wiped clean, and glanced at Onyxia.

The black dragon chuckled sheepishly, "Uh, this is the safest place, and the operating table is also very spacious."

"Never mind, it doesn't matter—Thassarian."

Accompanying the Lich King's summons, Thassarian passed through a dark runic portal and appeared beside Arthas. Behind him followed two skeleton soldiers, carrying a stretcher on which lay the unconscious Tulani.

"A Draenei? I thought they had all died on Draenor." Onyxia looked at Tulani's distinctive appearance with some surprise.

"You actually know this race... Right, your father once went to Draenor."

Arthas shook his head, pushing the question out of his mind. He observed Tulani's condition, his mouth twitching slightly—saving people really couldn't be left to the undead.

Lothar wasn't a professional physician in life; all he knew was basic battlefield first aid. He did stop Tulani's bleeding, but he completely ignored the damage that the Frost energy condensed by the Death Knight's runic power would inflict on this poor priest.

If Tulani hadn't been a priest greatly blessed by the Holy Light, Lothar would have barely stopped her bleeding before the dark Frost energy would have completely devoured her remaining vitality.

"Oh... this little Draenei's injuries are not looking too optimistic." Onyxia roughly assessed Tulani, coming to a similar conclusion as Arthas. "Why don't you just turn her into a Death Knight?"

"She can still be saved, and it can be considered a blessing in disguise. Although Lothar's methods were a bit crude, by a strange twist of fate, he managed to preserve her life."

Arthas summoned a small ball of gentle Holy Light and began to slowly infuse it into Tulani's body.

The fel's toxicity was still destroying Tulani's body, and the tiny bit of Holy Light remaining within her was still stubbornly fighting against the fel.

Although Lothar's Frost energy further worsened Tulani's physical condition, it also extinguished some of the fel.

"What's her name?" Arthas asked Thassarian while treating Tulani.

He noticed that this female Draenei's attire and accessories seemed to be quite elaborate. She should be someone of a certain status among the Draenei.

Thassarian replied, "Tulani, Marshal Lothar said so."

Lothar couldn't understand the Draenei language, but he had obtained this piece of information from the obsessions of the guards he had resurrected.

"Tulani? Soulbinder?" These words popped into Arthas's mind. His gaze towards Tulani suddenly changed. "After the great explosion of Auchenai, there are still Soulbinders who survived?"

Originally, Arthas had only thought that saving an ordinary Draenei would be fine, but he found an unexpected pleasant surprise?
