Ivy's POV
Rober approached the counter carrying several items, his demeanor casual yet purposeful. "Let's be reasonable, Ivy. Warren might have approached the conversation awkwardly, but his intentions were good." He placed his purchases on the counter with deliberate care.
I couldn't help the sarcastic laugh that escaped me. "Oh, I'm well aware of his 'intentions'—I could hear them through the walls most nights." I softened my tone slightly. "I appreciate the effort, really. But I have one non-negotiable rule: I don't date anyone who has dated a friend or family member." I locked eyes with Warren. "And I definitely won't share sexual partners."
Warren's expression crumbled before my eyes. "You can't be serious..." He glanced helplessly toward his father. Both men wore identical looks of disbelief.
