Chapter 3 - Chapter 3— The Hidden Power of a Salesman

Before me, an unfamiliar screen floated in the air—filled with images of countless items, detailed descriptions, and prices.

From the knowledge that came with my so-called "blessing," I instantly understood: this was a shopping site. Not just any store… but one where I could purchase anything I wanted.

Only I could see it. The moment I whispered the words [Dark Web], these invisible screens would appear before me—unseen by anyone else. On the main page, there was a [Search] bar. Simply focusing on it brought up a massive list of items related to what I had in mind. I could filter them by price, quality, and more.

Purchases were made using a currency called Rupees (₹). There was even a [Conversion] screen, where I could exchange gold for rupees—at a rate of 1 gram of gold for ₹6,000.

The third function of my blessing was the [Inventory], where all purchased items were stored. With just a thought, I could summon anything into my hand—or send it back—instantly.

And finally, the fourth and last screen—[Profile]—displayed my personal details.

This was my blessing.

The reason I was given the [Salesman] class—so I could buy goods from the Dark Web and sell them in this world.

In this world, there were two types of classes: [Combat] and [Day-to-Day]. Combat classes were for fighting—warriors, mages, assassins. Day-to-Day classes were for daily life—salesmen, farmers, miners, chefs. Non-combat classes were seen as commoner roles.

If someone from a noble family received a Day-to-Day class, they were treated as second-class citizens. And I… the eldest son of the Duke, heir to the Gladios Dukedom, had received one.

Our noble family's duty was to protect the people of Fairhaven Kingdom from the likes of demon kin, dragonoids, beastmen, and dark elves. Day-to-Day classes lacked the strength to defend themselves, let alone others. That's why nobles with such classes were cast out.

Becoming the next Duke with the Salesman class was… impossible.

Or so everyone believed.

Because on the Dark Web, there were ways to erase my lack of combat power—ways no one in this world could imagine. Weapons, armor, vehicles, potions, food… even items that granted powers.

One example: a plasmasaber—a blade that could cut through absolutely anything, even diamonds. Or full-body armor that could protect me from every direction while letting me fly with bursts of energy—Armor Man Suit Series. Or the Super human Serum, which could enhance physical abilities without magic or skills.

Of course, all of these were expensive. But Gladios Dukedom was the wealthiest in Fairhaven—richer than even the royal family. With the Dark Web, I could make not just myself, but our entire army many times stronger. I could make Fairhaven the most powerful empire in the world.

My blessing wasn't weaker than Nolan's [Sword God] blessing—it was equal, maybe even greater.

If I explained this to Father in detail, his current anger would vanish. I was sure of it. The thought made a small smile curl on my lips.

I got out of bed, walked to the desk, and picked up a gold coin. Each coin was made of 10 grams of pure gold.

---

[Conversion]

[10g Gold] → ₹60,000

[Balance]: 0 + 60,000 → ₹60,000

---

The moment I mentally opened the conversion screen, the gold coin in my hand vanished. My balance rose to ₹60,000.

I took out all ten coins I had and converted them—raising my balance to ₹660,000.

Then I opened the search filter: [Weapon, Price < ₹600,000]. Among the results, one caught my eye.

---

[Dark Web]

• Weapon

[Name]: Blue Dust 516 V8

[Description]: A double-edged sword forged from nano-particles, capable of cutting materials at the molecular level. Can slice through even diamond. A masterpiece from Star Labs.

[Price]: ₹500,000

[Balance]: 660,000 − 500,000 → ₹160,000

---

A sword familiar enough for Father to understand its worth. That was the idea.

I purchased it.

The Dark Web's items weren't from this world—they came from countless others. Worlds without magic, where "science" was the ruling force. My blessing gave me the knowledge to understand this… even if I didn't fully grasp what science truly meant. Father certainly wouldn't.

That's why I chose the Blue Dust sword.

[Inventory]

[Equip: Blue Dust]

The black blade appeared in my hand instantly.

"Woah…" I couldn't help but mutter.

It was a single-edged masterpiece. The moment my fingers tightened on the hilt, the blade shimmered with a faint blue glow. Its aura shifted entirely. I swung it lightly—

CRACK!

The statue in my room split in two and toppled over. My eyes widened. That statue had been carved from Valerium marble—a material with extreme hardness. And I had cut it as if it were nothing…

Knock knock.

A sharp knock on the door snapped me out of it.

[Unequip: Blue Dust]

The blade vanished back into my inventory as I opened the door. It was our head butler.

"The Duke wishes to see you. Immediately."

My heart raced. Father must have returned from the ceremony. I hurried to his chambers, eager to tell him about my Dark Web… and show him the Blue Dust.

But the moment I entered—

"Noah Von Gladios," Father's voice was cold as steel, "from this moment forward, you are Noah. You are no longer worthy of the name Von Gladios. By sunrise tomorrow, you will leave this Dukedom, and not even your shadow should remain here. If you do, I will execute you myself—for disgracing our family name, for wasting years of training, and for squandering our wealth."

His words hit me like a blade through the heart.
