Chapter 137 - Chapter 137. Alaric stood by and watched, while Peter successfully took his revenge.

Boom!

The walls of several rooms were directly blown open by the force, and Peter increased his speed, rushing toward the innermost room.

He wants revenge.

He wants those who always bully him to pay!

As soon as Peter remembers the abuse he endured, his anger flares up endlessly!

He didn't want to waste time with Spider-Woman, and because of that, even after taking a few hits, he kept running without looking back.

"I must stop him!"

Gwen didn't know exactly what this lizard monster was after, but she had to stop it here!

However, it was obvious that the strength of this lizard was no less than Gwen's, especially since his build was taller than hers, and once he went berserk, even Gwen had a hard time subduing him.

Whoosh!

Gwen suddenly jumped over Peter, rushed forward, shot a web at his legs, then flipped around, using the web and the surroundings to tightly wrap Peter's body!

"Mr. Magic! Can you come and give me a hand!"

Gwen knew this method couldn't hold him for long since she had already tried it before.

So she started calling for Alaric, begging him to help her finish off this monster for good.

But after several of Gwen's calls, Alaric didn't respond.

That made Gwen frown, confused.

Had Alaric already left?!

She wondered to herself.

"Roar!"

However, before she could think any further, the lizard suddenly exploded with force, tearing through the web, and his sharp claws sliced through the threads without any resistance.

"Still not working!?"

Gwen felt the enormous strain of the fight and rushed forward again to block the lizard's path.

Alaric was quietly watching everything from the sidelines.

He had heard her call, but since he knew that this Lizard was actually Peter, he had no intention of interfering.

This was a battle that belonged to Gwen, a life-changing moment she had to face alone.

Boom!

Peter, perhaps because the target of his revenge was right in front of him, didn't dodge this time.

He grabbed the web around her wrist, yanked it hard, pulling Gwen toward him, and the claws of his left hand slashed straight at her stomach.

"It's over!!"

Gwen's face froze.

Alaric was quietly ready to save her.

But at the critical moment, Gwen saw the lizard suddenly pull back his sharp claws, clench his fist, and instead punch her in the stomach, sending her flying to the side.

Then he roared furiously and smashed the wall in front of him with one blow.

"Ahhh!!"

Several teenagers went pale with fear and started screaming!

Some closed their eyes in panic, while others fainted from pure terror.

"Flash!"

Peter quickly swept his gaze around and spotted a face he knew all too well.

Peter reached out, grabbed Flash, and lifted him into the air.

"Don't eat me! Don't eat me!!"

Flash cried and screamed in terror, literally wetting himself.

"Flash…"

Peter looked at Flash as memories of the past flashed through his mind.

"Stop!!"

Gwen, doubled over in pain, swung herself forward with her web, grabbed the lizard around the neck from behind, and squeezed tightly.

"Let him go!!"

Gwen shouted.

"Roar!"

Under her grip, Peter staggered backward, but his right hand still held Flash's body tightly.

Suddenly, Peter's gaze went rigid, and then with his right hand, he crushed—and literally tore Ross in half.

Flash's screams stopped instantly.

The bloody scene made the two remaining conscious students unable to bear it any longer; their eyes rolled back, and they collapsed unconscious.

"NO!!"

Gwen's heart trembled, and she froze on the spot.

She failed to save Flash!?

Yes, Gwen also recognized Flash, that basketball player.

And then Flash died right before her eyes, at the hands of the lizard!

She had to stop it!

She was Spider-Woman!!

"You monster!!"

Gwen suddenly exploded in rage and launched a fierce attack on Peter!

Every strike was filled with her fury and despair!

Peter began to take hits in that battle.

Alaric watched all of this without interfering.

He understood why Peter wanted to kill Flash, so he didn't stop him; in Alaric's opinion, some people deserve to end up in hell because their own mistakes and evil deeds invite death.

If it hadn't been for Flash's long-term bullying, Peter wouldn't have become what he was, nor would he have taken such a risky, extreme path.

In any case, Alaric supported Peter's revenge.

Besides, if Alaric wasn't mistaken, Peter seemed to have recognized Gwen's identity.

Otherwise, he really would have had a chance to seriously injure her just now, but suddenly stopped.

Although Alaric wasn't sure how Peter realized who she was, it seemed their confrontation was nearing its end.

After dealing with Flash, Peter just wanted to escape as quickly as possible.

But Gwen wasn't about to let him go.

At that moment, Gwen, consumed by rage, stopped caring about her own injuries; she just wanted to completely destroy this lizard monster!

And she could clearly feel that his movements and strength were gradually weakening.

Yes, the genetic serum Peter had injected was starting to lose its effect, which was one of the reasons he wanted to flee quickly.

Peter didn't want his identity to be exposed.

So, to escape as fast as possible, he threw Gwen aside with one last blow, jumped from the third floor, scraped his claws down the wall, and disappeared into a dark alley.

Seeing this, Gwen immediately went after him without hesitation.

She forgot to call Alaric again.

Alaric, watching, quietly flew after them.

...

"What's the situation?!" George finally arrived at the scene.

"It's not clear yet, but the fight is still going on."

"Who's fighting the monster?"

"Spider-Woman! She stopped it and saved us!"

One officer answered excitedly.

"Spider-Woman…" George frowned.

"Look! The monster's escaping!!"

Someone suddenly noticed the lizard jumping from the building and running into an alley.

"Spider-Woman's caught up to it!!" A white silhouette streaked after him.

"Chief, what should we do?"

"Leave the monster to Spider-Woman. It's not something we can handle."

George sighed.

"Rescue the civilians first!" he shouted and quickly deployed the officers.

When they entered the building, they soon found several high schoolers scratched or killed by the lizard.

The sight weighed heavily on everyone's hearts.

In the end, they found survivors on the third floor, but unfortunately, one of them was mangled beyond recognition, his body torn in two.

This brutal scene fueled the officers' rage and their hatred toward the lizard monster burned white-hot.

And because of the ever-present reporters, everything was caught on camera.

It was certain that by tomorrow, this would be on the front pages.

But Gwen didn't care about that now, because she had caught up to Peter again.
