Wang decides to go to the mysterious location pointed out by the enlightened masters to find the scroll of Nordic runes. He heads towards a cave in the Eastern Mountains where a ferryman asks him for a gold coin, which Wang gives him.
Inside, a secret passage leads to another part of the earth called "the hollow earth." This part of the earth is reserved for an elite who alone know the passage and its secrets. Wang is directed to a temple where the Nordic king, named ODIN, resides.
ODIN: So, Wang, son of Sarah Middlesbrough and Lee Fang, what have you come here to seek?
Wang: ODIN, Slavic Nordic king, I have come to seek the knowledge of the scroll of runes and to challenge the Labrador.
ODIN: For the third time, do you believe you are capable this time?
Wang: All the previous times, I had no real motivation, but now it's different.
ODIN: So be it.
Wang enters a gigantic room adorned with gold pieces and sculptures of Nordic deities. Wang looks at the various weapons available but chooses none, instead taking from his bag a weapon resembling a nunchaku but in three parts.
The Labrador enters—appearing as a three-headed dog with blue flames in its eyes and an imposing stature. Wang presents himself to it.
Wang: I have come to acquire the knowledge of the Nordic runes, not to challenge a being capable of controlling the present moment and seeing two seconds into the future.
He takes his weapon and lays it down before the Labrador, who is surprised by this act of wisdom and lets him pass into another room where the God of mischief, Loki, awaits.
Loki: So, dear friend, what must I do for you?
Wang: Give me the scroll of runes.
Suddenly, Wang takes his weapon and counters an invisible attack that Loki had sent at him. Then the room changes shape. In the distance, inside a cage, is the scroll of runes, but to reach it, minotaurs block his path. Wang takes his weapon and imbues it with his Qi—a clear blue light—then fights these ten minotaurs with incredible technical ease, a chain of martial arts techniques, and then unleashes a new technique.
Wang: By the power of ancestral magic, I invoke the celestial dragon!
A technique that makes a dragon appear, colored by Wang's Qi, disposing of the present minotaurs. But a being capable of projecting lightning intercepts him; it is the son of Thor, Thorfin, who blocks his way.
Thorfin: So, Wang Lee Fang, do you believe you are capable of acquiring the knowledge of the runes without paying the price?
Wang: There is always a price to pay.
The two fight before the eyes of ODIN, Thor, and Loki, who appreciate the spectacle. Wang manifests yin and yang and invokes another technique.
Wang: May the stars lend me their strength, by the technique of the nine yins and nine yangs!
A deflagration of luminous projectiles pours down on Thorfin, who is overwhelmed by the explosions. He then summons lightning and launches a final attack on Wang, who had anticipated it and makes a sign with the two fingers of his right hand, forming a spiral around the lightning, allowing him to redirect it back at Thorfin, who, surprised, stands still and does nothing. His lightning returns to him when Thor intercepts it.
Thor: This fight is over.
Wang understands that Thor is not happy about his son's defeat at the hands of a mere human. Thor then hands him the scroll of Nordic runes.
Wang: I thank you, Thor, king of lightning. I will do my best to be worthy of it.
Then Wang leaves the room and the temple, traveling through the hollow earth—as magnificent as it is spectacular. Then a girl addresses him; she is a girl of Indian appearance, adorned with jewelry and symbols representing the God Krishna.
Wang: Mayeva, how have you been?
Mayeva: I see that this time you managed to come out with the scroll of runes.
Wang: A fight worthy of the name.
Then Wang writhes in pain, seriously wounded in the shoulder by a lightning bolt sent by Thorfin. Mayeva offers to heal him.
Thanks to her water magic, she heals him, and all his wounds disappear.
Wang: I thank you, Mayeva.
Mayeva: You're welcome. Come see me from time to time.
Wang smiles, and they part ways. He exits the hollow earth; outside, Elva and Huan were waiting for him.
Elva: So, you leave without saying goodbye to your friends?
Huan: Are you going to try again next time?
Wang smiles and presents the scroll to his team, who hug him. They all head back. Johnny, who did not come with them, is in one of the city's alleyways with a drifter. Johnny threatens him.
Johnny: So, tell me, what is the big boss plotting?
Drifter: I don't know anything.
Johnny: Come on, make an effort. You can do that for an old friend.
Johnny takes out an enchanted dagger and stabs it into the drifter's leg.
Johnny: You know what this kind of dagger is capable of—it sucks and feeds on the life energy of its host. And if you don't tell me everything I want to know, you'll end up as dog food.
Drifter: OK! I heard that the great Oculus has called for a big gathering in the alternate dimension.
Johnny: To do what?
Drifter: I don't know!!
Johnny: Then where is this little meeting going to take place, you scum?!
Drifter: At the "HellBound" saloon. After midnight, a portal will open in the basement, and we will go to hear the announcement of the great Oculus.
Johnny: It's always a pleasure doing business with you.
Then he lets him go, marking him with a seal that will allow him to find him again if needed.
Back at Wang's bar, where they are celebrating Wang's victory, Johnny almost ruins the mood.
Johnny: So, you're partying while the drifters are preparing to attack?
Huan: What did you find out?
Johnny: Oh, nothing much. Just that our friends are also preparing a mega party, but the difference is that we'll be the main course.
Elva: We must inform Governor Smith.
Wang: No. We must first find out what he is plotting. Then we will act accordingly, and this time we will be ready.
