One by one, Lisa, Emily, and Jessica stepped forward, offering polite smiles as they shook hands with Alex as they exchanged small greetings.
As the short introductions settled into a gentle rhythm of small talk—comments about school, the weather, and a few lighthearted jokes—Alex took the opportunity to ease the atmosphere. Flashing a small, polite smile, he suggested,
"How about we head to that café nearby? I've heard it's really good, and I thought it'd be nice for all of us to catch up there."
The group agreed, and they walked towards the café, while exchanging a few words in between them. Soon, they reached a one story ordinary looking building with a cafe board outside it.
