Soon, both of us slowly made our way towards the car that was parked outside, waiting patiently for us to return. The cool night breeze brushed against my face as the streetlights flickered dimly, casting long shadows on the ground.
'Seriously, it made me wonder how no one doubts about the VR game, except some handful of people of course.' I thought with a sigh.
Everywhere I looked, people treated the game as nothing more than entertainment, a passing trend, a shiny new toy to keep themselves busy with. No one seemed to question why it felt so real, why so many players disappeared for hours, or why the company behind it was always so secretive. To them, it was just a breakthrough in technology. Nothing more or northing less.
The car waiting for us looked a brand new one, and it is with the best tecnology advancement of 'this world', but if I have to compare it with cars of my previous earth, I would say that it's somewhere in early 20th century, that is a whole two decades behind.
