The night air in RoanRidge carried a damp coolness that clung to my skin. I had been pacing my chamber for what felt like hours, unable to shake the storm stirring inside me. I realized it was Elias; even without him speaking a word, I could sense his turmoil. It rippled through our bond as twins, faint but undeniable.
