The library was silent, saved from the sound of our ragged breaths and the faint rustle of parchment as I pressed Marcus back against one of the towering shelves. My hands were in his hair, tugging, desperate, and his mouth was already parted beneath mine, lips wet and yielding as I devoured him.

"Juno—" Marcus groaned my name like a curse, like a prayer, like he couldn't decide which one I was.
