We moved to the bath, and the water should have cooled me. It didn't, and the chill of the spring-fed bath lapped around my waist, but my body burned hotter with every breath of Alaric's scent. My wolf pressed at me from the inside, restless, frantic, demanding I submit to the one man who had always been mine. Alaric pinned me to the stone edge of the bath, water dripping down his bare chest, muscles flexing as he held me caged. His lips were swollen from our kisses, his eyes glowing amber-gold, wolf bleeding into man.

"Oh, Little Wolf, you smell heavenly," he said again, low and rough, as though he needed to remind both himself and the world.
