Chapter 45 - Chapter 45 What's The Use Of Being Handsome?

Neither Su Qing nor Jiang Sui visited Jiangcheng No. 1 Middle School because of this sick.

On their way out to dinner, the group chat in their phone kept buzzing with messages.

Su Qing casually picked it up and was about to click on it, but as her eyes scanned the screen...

That basketball photo, the boy in it grinned wildly, wearing a fiery red jersey and sporting a head of unbridled red hair.

It was a face that would wake her up in her nightmares. Su Qing couldn't forget it. It had been so long since she had seen it so vividly...

The messages in the group chat continued to refresh.

[This guy is so handsome]

[I watched his basketball game today; it was truly exciting]

When Jiang Sui came over, milk tea in hand, he saw Su Qing, stunned. His eyes fell on her lit phone screen, and he frowned, shoving her phone into his pocket.

"What? The guy in the photo is even more handsome than me!"

"Su Qing, blink! There's a handsome guy standing next to you. Don't you know how many people stared at me when I just bought milk tea?"

Jiang Sui's brows were cold. He freed one hand and pinched Su Qing's cheek, pulling it and forcing his face into Su Qing's gaze.

The two were so close that Su Qing could almost feel the boy's refreshing scent, enveloping her whole being.

Su Qing quickly regained her composure, moved away, and took a sip of the hot milk tea Jiang Sui had offered her. Her eyes curved, as if nothing had happened, her heart as calm as a still pool of water.

"Jiang Sui, could you please stop touching me..."

Her face was aching from the pinch. Recovering from her composure, the young girl glanced at the handsome face and offered a pointed remark.

"You're indeed quite handsome."

Jiang Sui raised an eyebrow, his mood seemingly brightening, but the next second, he heard that sweet mouth say something.

"Can being handsome earn you a living? Can being handsome earn you a perfect score in a test? Can being handsome catch bad guys?"

The girl, with a sweet smile, had eyes as clear and bright as the water of a late autumn lake, cold yet warm. She stood not far from him, head tilted.

It was already evening, the sky gradually darkening.

At that moment, all the streetlights came on in the square outside the mall.

They were only a step away.

The girl seemed to be deliberately provoking Jiang Sui, and a sigh trailed off at the end of her words.

"Cannot right."

Jiang Sui stood still, watching as the girl, standing on tiptoe, pinched his cheek with a soft, cool finger.

She narrowed her eyes and smiled.

"What's the point of being so handsome, then?"

Her eyes sparkled like a starry sky. She seemed a little cold in her short-sleeved shirt, and as the breeze blew, tiny goose bumps rose up on Su Qing's arms.

Su Qing rubbed her arms, then held onto her milk tea and looked at them.

Jiang Sui only knew that when the girl said, "Cannot right?", her expression dimmed for a moment, like a pearl dusted with dust, which he eagerly wanted to brush away.

Su Qing glanced around, and in the next moment, she was half-huggled by the young man.

Jiang Sui put his arm around her slender neck and whispered jokingly in her ear.

"Why not!"

"That so handsome, very useful!"

When Su Qing saw Jiang Sui approaching, she tried to pull the heavy arm away from her neck, but the boy was too strong.

His grip tightened, almost bending her waist.

"It's so cold, and I'm so hungry. Come inside and eat!"
