Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Inside a beach house…

Koharu put her feet on the living room table of the expensive beach house Otokami had purchased. She relaxed on the couch, sighing to herself. "Ahh, exactly what I deserve. This was the best choice I've ever made."

While she relaxed, servants took to massaging her legs and feet, taking great care to be gentle.

"Her legs are so strong!" one thought. "She could snap a man's neck with ease!"

After they were done, she easily killed them by snapping her fingers, aging them into dust. The door burst open, and her children all piled in.

"Hi, Mom!" Royal announced. "Dad told us to come here!"

"Is this place ours?" Radiance asked. "It's so cool!"

"I'm gonna post it to all my followers!" Regal bragged.

Koharu got up, her expression intimidating. "Quiet. Get lost."

The girls took heed of her warning and all dispersed across the rooms. Koharu stamped out the dust beneath her feet before moving upstairs. "Pathetic children."

She found Otokami waiting in front of one of the doors on the third floor. "Here is our room."

He opened the door, showing her the bedroom, which looked more like a mini-apartment. There were dressers, a lounge area, a bathroom, a closet, a giant TV, and a large bed in the center. The balcony right outside overlooked the beach.

"Beautiful," she smirked. "I would expect nothing less."

He led his wife into the room, who walked as if she owned the place. She admired the decor, sitting on the bed with her legs crossed. "We should obtain more places like this. 20,000 isn't enough."

Otokami teleported to the window, looking outside and whispering to him. "Hmm…no Regal."

"Dear, are you alright?" Koharu asked.

"…Yes."

Downstairs, the girls were causing chaos. Radiance ran off with Revenue's phone, causing the older sister to chase her. "Hey, you little bitch! Give that back!"

"Nope!"

While they ran around, Ravena had a man tied up on the living room table, holding a knife over his body as he squirmed and cried. "Shut up. You're going to be my guinea pig."

Rheya wandered around the house aimlessly, while Ronova was busy on the balcony, licking blood off her fingers. Royal burst out of her room. "Guys, does this dress look like Mom's?"

Rhinedottir walked past her, dragging a group of men in chains. "No. What a criminal offense."

"Rude!"

Remedy walked down the stairs, her tone sharp. "All of you, keep it down! Don't you have any grace?"

The door suddenly creaked open, stopping all of them in their tracks. Behind it was Regal, who had blood covering his outfit and hair. His eyes were hidden beneath his hair. The girls all looked at him.

"Who is that?" Rheya questioned.

Regal stood still. Remedy scoffed. "Regal. I thought he was dead for good this time."

"Me too," Ravena said, disappointed. "I stomped through his skull."

"This is good, though," Royal pointed out. "If we had killed him on this trip, Dad would have been mad!"

"Whatever," Remedy dismissed. "Get him on the ground. We'll teach him a lesson."

Rheya tackled him to the ground, sitting on his back to pin him. The girls surrounded him, and Koharu came downstairs. "What did I tell you all about this damn noise?"

"Sorry, Mother," Remedy apologized. "We were just getting ready to punish Regal."

Koharu walked over. "Good. We will torment this little maggot. Raise your heels!"

They all raised their feet and stomped into his body at once. Koharu stabbed into his shoulder, twisting her heel deeply. Surprisingly, Regal didn't seem to respond.

"Again!" she ordered. "We will cripple him beyond repair. Once this trip is over, we will kill him for good!"

They stomped into his body again, but he still didn't move. Koharu stomped into the top of his back this time, twisting until she felt the spine crack, smiling maniacally.

Radiance stomped so hard she felt a bone break. "I broke his leg, Mommy!"

The other girls did the same, and they all stepped back after they were done. Koharu looked down with a satisfied smirk. "Good. No way he recovers from that. Now go."

They all stepped over him and left, but he still didn't move. Suddenly, his body began to fix itself, and he rose up, standing still. As he prepared to take a step forward, a group of officers appeared in the doorway, pointing guns at Regal.

"Hey, you!" the one in front ordered. "Put your hands up!"

Regal remained still. "Didn't you hear me? I said you're under arrest!"

He still didn't move, and the officer growled. "Screw this, I'm cuffing him."

He walked up and slapped handcuffs on Regal, marching him out the door. "You're under arrest for mass murder! You'll be looking at a long sentence in prison, buddy."

Regal remained silent as he was taken onto the porch. "You have the right to remain silent. Well, seems you've already got that down, don't you?"

Radiance peeped from around the corner, watching with a mix of confusion and curiosity. She whispered to her sisters. "Girls, look!"

Regal stopped suddenly, and the officer pushed his shoulder. "The hell are you doing? Walk."

Regal didn't move.

"I said, walk—-!"

In one motion, Regal broke through his cuffs, punching the head of the officer holding him clean off. The other officers jumped back, aiming their guns. "Shoot him!"

They fired their weapons, but the bullets just ripped through Regal's flesh, and he remained standing. The wounds healed instantly, and he turned around.

"Shit! Taser, taser!"

One deployed a taser, but Regal was no longer in the same spot. The man felt a touch from behind, and he immediately disintegrated. The other officers pointed their guns, looking around. "Watch out!"

One by one, they were all reduced to dust, and a surviving officer called for backup. "Help! Code 3! Code 3!"

Regal lifted his hand, and the man rose into the air. Black cracks appeared on his body, and he exploded into ash. More cop cars swerved into the driveway, but they were instantly disintegrated as well.

Koharu looked out from her balcony to observe what was going on, and she was surprised to see Regal fighting off the officers. "What…?"

As a police truck rolled up, Regal wiped it out instantly, wiping the blood off his mouth as he turned back. From inside, his sisters watched, intrigued.

"Regal's being evil!" Radiance announced, cheerfully.

"Who would have thought," Remedy remarked.

"Ha! He's finally accepted it!" Royal gloated.

Ronova remained silent.

"Hmm? Is that a good thing?" Rheya questioned.

"About time," Rhinedottir scoffed.

"I'm posting this to my blog!" Revenue bragged.

"Unexpected," Ravena commented. "Very unexpected."

Regal walked back inside, freezing in place when he saw his sisters. Koharu came downstairs, clapping. "Good maggot! Have you finally stopped believing in your delusions? Have you finally accepted who you are, brat?"

Regal got on one knee. "Yes, Mother."

"That's what I thought," she said, smirking. "Now take your reward, filth."

She placed her foot in front of him, expecting him to kiss it. He did, and she placed a heel on his head. "Now that you've become at least a bit of use, now you get the honor of serving the rest of us instead of dying!"

"I appreciate it, Mother," he thanked.

"You'd better. Now go. Go and be evil."

She walked off, humming to herself as she laughed. "That problem is taken care of. Everything's going exactly how I want."

He walked past his sisters, who all stopped him.

"So, no more goody two-shoes act, you scum?" Remedy inquired.

"I don't understand."

"Whatever. You heard Mom. Now you don't get to die."

"Understood."

"Who wants to use him first?" Royal asked. "This new Regal is interesting!"

"I call dibs!" Radiance shouted.

"I refute that," Ravena interrupted. "I have more important things he can help me with."

"Wait your turn, creep!"

While they bickered, Regal slinked off undetected, walking into one of the unoccupied bedrooms. As soon as he locked the door, a black cloud emerged out of his mouth, and he dropped to the ground, coughing.

"How was that?" the cloud asked. "No more punching bag!"

"Hey! You made me kill all those people! That's evil!"

"Well, technically YOU didn't kill them," the cloud explained.

"Well, everyone thinks it's me!"

"Who cares?" the cloud replied. "Now you don't have to die over and over again. I've done you a favor!"

"Sure you did," he mocked. "How am I gonna write my good guy biography now? Look, if we're going to do this, we need a compromise."

"You agreed to the deal," the cloud pointed out.

"Here, no unnecessary harm," Regal ordered. "That's the deal. Though I would prefer you didn't hurt anyone at all."

"I can agree to that," the cloud said.

Regal got up. "What even are you? What's your name?"

"Where I'm from, I'm called 'N,'" the cloud answered. "Nothing special."

"Are you a girl? A guy? Non-binary?"

The cloud shifted form, taking on the appearance of a young woman with skin even paler than Regal's. Her hair was pitch black, and she had bottomless wells for eyes.

"Gah!"

"Does this answer your question?" she asked.

"Yeah, yeah it does!"

She shifted back into a cloud. "Any other questions you want to ask? Nothing stupid or irrelevant."

"Why were you disguised as an old man?"

"Irrelevant."

"I think that's pretty relevant!" Regal argued. "If you're gonna be stuck in my body, I have a right to know what you really are—!"

They both heard footsteps, and N quickly shot back into Regal's body, causing his hair to fall over his face once more. Rheya kicked open the door. "Regal! I'm here to drag you to dinner!"

"Regal" didn't respond as the girl grabbed him with one arm and left the room.

At the dinner table, everyone was seated in their normal positions, while Regal finally had his own seat at the end. Koharu had servants serve the food, while Otokami was sitting in his seat, his face hidden behind his helmet. One young lady set two plates in front of Koharu, and she offered one to her husband. "Here you go, love."

Otokami opened his eyes, and Koharu immediately caught wind of it. "Serve those brats as well. Hurry up! I don't have all day!"

The girl quickly scrambled to get the other plates while Koharu rubbed her husband's shoulders. "Dear, did you know that Regal finally stopped being such a pain? He finally embraced his darkness! Slaughtering all those officers like so!"

Otokami remained silent, and so did Regal.

"He's just as worthless as the rest of you now," Koharu insulted. "Why do you all even still exist? Why don't you just drop dead?"

The servants brought her more plates, and she dismissively waved toward her kids. "Them."

Inside Regal's ear, he could hear N talking. "What a deliciously cruel woman. Has she no love for you at all?"

"Not in the slightest. If it wasn't for Dad sitting right next to her, she'd kill us all right here. She has a habit of insulting us, especially me."

"Such an intimidating presence," N noted. "This was a mortal girl once?"

"According to Dad, yeah."

As Otokami took off his mask to eat, all of his daughters watched intently, never losing focus. N whispered in Regal's ear. "And what of the heirs?"

"Obsessed."

"Do you need anything, Father?" Remedy asked.

He shook his head, and they continued watching. Koharu glared at them. "Stop staring and eat!"

They did, but they continued to glance at Otokami while they did so. Regal began to eat as well, while N made a vomiting sound. "Yuck. Mortal food is so…uninviting."

"Wanna try?" Regal asked.

"No."

Meanwhile, in another dimension…

A man in dark red and black robes paced back and forth in his temple, which had statues of various gods and mystical creatures. A young man with horns quickly ran up to him. "Lord Magatsuhi! Ontekku is dead!"

The man turned around, his eyes glowing red. "What? How?"

"Koharu Otokami and her family defeated him!" the servant stated. "They've thwarted his army!"

The man grew to over 15 feet tall, horns sprouting from his head. "Otokami, you say? Where are they currently located?"

"In the Mortal Realm," the servant answered. "On the planet Xdrall. They've conquered the entire multiverse."

"Then we'll just have to take it back," Magatsuhi mused. "Inform the Alliance. We shall trigger the Great Apocalypse once more."
