I should have known something was up when Logan knocked on our door at 6 AM with coffee and that particular grin he got when he was plotting something.
"Morning, sunshine," he said, shoving a steaming mug at me. "Kai's waiting in the garden. Says he needs to talk to you about... uh, logistics."
"Logistics?" I squinted at him suspiciously. Logan was supposed to leave for Washington in three hours. Why did he look like Christmas morning? "What kind of logistics?"
"The important kind. Go on, he's getting antsy." Logan practically pushed me toward the door. "And Aria? Maybe wear something nice. You know, just in case."
I threw on jeans and a sweater, then paused at my closet. Logan's "just in case" usually meant trouble. After a moment's hesitation, I switched to the blue dress Kai had once said brought out my eyes. Better safe than sorry.
