Finally it was time for the first tournament match. But first it was Renjiro vs Takuya.
Renjiro walked out first.
Announcer: "in the blue corner we have at 131 pounds! From fumio gym! With a record of 12-3-1! Ladies and gentlemen! We have Renjiro in class B-2!"
The Announcer yelled.
Renjiro ran up to the ring and jumped over the ropes then raised his hands into the air.
Announcer: "look at that! Sporting black and blue shorts!"
The Announcer said as Renjiro shadow boxed in his corner.
Announcer: "and now! In the red corner! Weighing in at 135 pounds! From Testarossa Gym! With a record of 16-2-0! Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome Takuya in class B-1!"
The Announcer yelled.
Commentators: "Renjiro will be challenging Takuya for his rank to become a B-1 boxer and then eventually get the belt."
The commentators said as they watched the ref walk in.
Commentators: "and Takuya is sporting black, red and green shorts."
The commentators said as the ref made the two touch gloves.
As they touched gloves Renjiro dashed towards Takuya and threw a quick overhand right bashing into Takuya's face and making his head whip back.
Renjiro: "(four rounds is all I need.)"
Renjiro got into a classic boxing stance and clenched his fist tightly as he dashed towards Takuya yet again staying on a fast pursuit.
Takuya threw a straight left then a hook to body, which Renjiro body rolled and retaliated with another overhand snapping Takuya head back yet again.
Then Renjiro threw a flurry of jabs and straights at the stunned Takuya who then when he was about to fall Renjiro threw an uppercut which kept Takuya standing then the bell rang and Takuya fell against the ropes.
Aito: "whoa! Renjiro is strong!"
Aito said to Naoki.
Naoki: "he's strong but slow. He tries to end the fights in two rounds after that he doesn't have any energy and/or speed left."
Naoki said laughing.
Aito: "what's funny?"
Aito asked.
Naoki: "just that I fight 15 round fights and Renjiro can't even last 2 rounds."
Naoki laughed before stretching.
Aito: "..."
Aito now had less confidence in Renjiro.
The bell rang once again as Renjiro and Takuya stood up and walked to the middle of the ring.
Ref: "box."
The ref said as Renjiro rushed in yet again. But Takuya threw a heavy jab landing on Renjiro's face knocking Renjiro out.
Aito: "No!"
Aito yelled.
Naoki: "I understand why people say boxing is entertaining! Like two clowns throwing pies at each other!"
Naoki said laughing.
Renjiro slowly stood up the raised his guard. The ref barely got to say the number one.
Ref: "box!"
The ref signaled the judges to count as a slip.
Renjiro dashed in and started throwing rapid body blows at Takuya slowly pounding Takuya ribs and organs.
Renjiro: "AND TAKE THIS!"
Renjiro threw a wide open uppercut launching Takuya into the air...
Aito: "whoa!"
Aito watched as Takuya landed on his feet and then started his counter attack.
Aito: "Guh! No whoa!"
Renjiro took all the punches to the face and body and then was pushed back into his corner as the bell rang.
Naoki: "that was something."
Naoki said pretty shocked. The bell rang again signaling round three.
Renjiro walked out into the center as Takuya followed suit, the ref made them touch gloves and started the match.
Takuya raised a quick high guard waiting for Renjiro assault... but as Renjiro did nothing everyone looked...
Naoki: "hahaha! Old man Renjiro!"
Naoki laughed loudly as Renjiro was drained of energy.
Takuya grinned as he launched an assault and knocked out Renjiro with a straight right making Renjiro fall towards the ropes.
Ref: "..."
The ref looked at Renjiro.
Ref: "..."
The ref lifted Renjiro arm then dropped it Renjiro was knocked out.
Ref: "it's over!"
The ref waved his hands. Takuya jumped in the air as he won.
Aito: "why..."
Aito clenched his fist.
Naoki: "huh?"
Aito: "why didn't he win? Wasn't Renjiro strong enough!?"
Aito said getting angry.
Naoki: "Aito. Not everyone has talent or strong work ethic. Some people might just stay as second rate boxers. Part of boxing isn't just timing in the ring but outside aswell."
Naoki said before patting Aito back.
Naoki: "your match is up next go get ready."
Naoki said to Aito. Aito nodded and walked out the door.
