Chapter 82 - Chapter 82 The sisters officially join the guild

Some of the other guild members glanced curiously toward the entrance, wondering what the noise had been about. But the moment they saw Noah standing nearby, calm and composed, they decided not to interrupt and quietly returned to whatever they were doing.

As the sisters' tearful reunion began to settle, Ultear walked over to them, crouched slightly, and gently patted their shoulders.

"Alright, why don't we get up now? We can talk more inside."

The older sister was the first to respond. She helped Yukino to her feet, wiped her own tears with the back of her hand, and turned to Ultear and the others, her expression soft and apologetic.

"Sorry… we just got a little overwhelmed."

"It's alright," Ultear replied warmly. "It's not every day sisters are reunited like this. Come on let's sit down and take our time."

Ultear and Erza each guided one of the sisters to a quiet table in the corner of the guild hall, while Noah made his way to Makarov to report everything that had happened.

When Noah returned, the sisters were seated, calmer now, listening as Ultear and the others gently reassured them. The moment the older sister saw Noah, she stood up quickly and bowed deeply.

"Thank you. Truly thank you for saving both of us."

Noah scratched the back of his head a little awkwardly.

"Honestly, it was mostly luck. I usually teleport straight back. If I hadn't randomly decided to walk that day and passed near your village, I wouldn't have even found Yukino. Let alone you."

"But the fact is, you did find us. And you saved us. That's what matters."

She smiled now, more stable than before. Then, stepping forward, she introduced herself with a light nod.

"My name is Sorano. Sorano Aguria."

Noah blinked in surprise at her sudden formality, then nodded back.

"I'm Noah. Noah Fryar."

He was about to speak again, but out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Ultear's gaze had sharpened the moment Sorano gave her name.

Still, seeing that both sisters had calmed down, Noah went ahead and asked the next question on his mind.

"So… what do you plan to do now? Do you want to join Fairy Tail?"

Sorano's eyes lit up with genuine hope.

"Is that allowed? Can we really join Fairy Tail?"

"Of course," Noah replied with a smile. "I think the Master would welcome it. Why don't we go ask him?"

Without another word, Noah stood and walked toward the counter where Makarov was seated. Sorano quickly pulled Yukino up by the hand and followed after him, her expression full of excitement and nerves. Erza and Kagura joined them as well, walking a few steps behind.

Ultear remained seated for a moment, watching Noah's back as he walked away. Her thoughts were unreadable, but eventually, she stood too and followed in silence.

At the counter, Noah leaned down toward Makarov.

"Grandpa, I'd like to recommend Sorano and Yukino as new members of Fairy Tail."

Makarov turned his gaze to the two girls now standing before him. His expression was kind, but as always, there was wisdom behind his eyes.

"You two want to join Fairy Tail?"

Sorano nodded earnestly.

"Yes, we do. We're still young, and it's been hard to survive on our own. If we join Fairy Tail, we'll be able to work, support ourselves, and… more than anything, we trust this guild."

Her voice trembled just slightly, but her words were strong. She wasn't just saying it to impress anyone she meant it.

"It was Noah who saved us. And we believe in Fairy Tail because of him."

She spoke with simple honesty, knowing full well Makarov had likely heard all of this already from Noah. Still, she wanted to say it herself.

Because she truly meant it.

Of course, Makarov already knew all of this. But hearing it directly from Sorano's lips didn't bother him in the slightest. In fact, it made him like her even more.

A child who was honest, sharp, and thoughtful he respected that. And he wasn't above using a little guild "strategy" if it meant protecting one more member of his family.

"Wherever my sister goes, I'll go too. And besides…" Yukino finally spoke up, her voice soft but firm as she clung tightly to Sorano's side. "I really like everyone in Fairy Tail."

Ever since their reunion, Yukino had barely left her sister's side, quietly clinging to her like a shadow. But now, she couldn't help voicing her feelings.

Makarov's smile deepened, eyes twinkling.

"Then it's settled. Fairy Tail officially welcomes you both!"

As soon as the words left his mouth, Sorano pulled Yukino into another tight hug, her tears slipping freely down her cheeks.

She had truly believed they were alone in the world… and now, here they were safe, together, and accepted into a family.

Joining Fairy Tail meant they didn't have to wander anymore. They could live. They could grow.

They could belong.

"You should be happy you're joining Fairy Tail. Why are you crying again?" Noah teased gently from beside her.

Sniffling, Sorano wiped her tears away with her sleeve, and managed a small laugh.

"Yeah… I should be happy."

"Let's have a party to celebrate Sorano and Yukino joining Fairy Tail!" Makarov suddenly shouted, jumping up onto the counter and raising both arms.

At once, the guild erupted with cheers.

"Party time!"

"Welcome to the family, Sorano and Yukino!"

"These two sisters are adorable Noah must've brought them back!"

"You've done it again, Noah! Two more cute girls added to the guild!"

Ultear's eyes narrowed like a hawk.

Erza turned slowly toward Noah, expression unreadable.

Noah crossed his arms and looked around at the source of the commotion, completely deadpan.

"Of course I only helped them because they were in trouble. What do you lot think you're implying?"

Before anyone could answer, Noah casually turned and punched Macao straight into the wall.

The poor man collapsed with a wheeze, plastered into the stone like a painting.

Wakaba burst into laughter.

"What a loser! One hit and he's gone!"

That was all it took.

Macao immediately lunged at Wakaba with a growl, throwing a punch of his own. The two men began grappling, yelling nonsense as they toppled chairs and crashed into tables.

The surrounding guild members saw the scuffle and, like moths to flame, dove in with shouts of excitement. Within seconds, the entire guild hall dissolved into a chaotic free-for-all.

No one knew who was punching who anymore.

Sorano blinked as she watched someone fly past her head and slam into a wall with enough force to leave a perfect person-shaped imprint.

She turned slowly to Ultear, her face frozen in a daze.

"Um… are we sure joining Fairy Tail was the right decision?"

"Ah, just ignore them," Ultear sighed, watching Noah's retreating back with tired eyes. "This is just… daily routine."

She turned smoothly and motioned for Sorano to follow her.

"Let's get your membership paperwork done before the walls come down."

Erza gave an encouraging nod.

"Yes. Usually, there's a small fight every three days, a big one every five. It's just how everyone expresses their feelings."

"...That's how they express feelings?" Sorano said, stunned.

Just then, another guild member went flying through the air and landed right in front of her limbs splayed, body stuck in the wall like a human starfish.

She stared at him, horrified.

"...He's not falling."

Behind her, Yukino whimpered and clutched her sister's sleeve, peeking out from behind her like a startled kitten.

"It's alright," Erza said with confidence, placing a hand on Sorano's shoulder. "Noah's healing magic is excellent. After a quick treatment, they'll be bouncing off the walls again by tomorrow."

Erza nodded vigorously, full of conviction, as if to say, Yes, this madness is perfectly normal.

Sorano felt something tighten in her chest. She looked around at the utter chaos erupting inside the guild and couldn't help blurting out:

"That's not what I meant!"

"Give up," Ultear said calmly, ducking beneath a flying wine bottle like it was a routine annoyance. "This is their daily life. You won't be able to change it. More likely… you'll be assimilated."

She gestured subtly with her chin, motioning for Sorano to look toward Erza.

Sorano turned.

Erza was practically bouncing on her heels, fists clenched, eyes sparkling with anticipation. She was clearly one second away from diving into the brawl.

Kagura, standing next to her, had one hand firmly on Erza's shoulder, holding her back with quiet determination.

"You already are one of them," Ultear added dryly.

Sorano let out a helpless sigh, and Yukino gave her a quiet tug on the sleeve. "Sister… is this really okay?"

"Too late to back out now," Sorano mumbled.

Ultear smiled faintly and led the girls away from the chaos to handle the formalities. Sorano and Yukino followed close behind.

At the counter, Makarov waited for them. He pulled out a small, well-worn box containing the emblem stamps.

"Alright then… which color do you want?"

After some whispered discussion between the sisters, Sorano pointed at a soft lavender shade, and Yukino chose a gentle blue. Makarov smiled, pressed the stamps against their skin, and with a warm glow, the Fairy Tail emblem appeared on their bodies.

"And there you have it," he said proudly. "Welcome to the family."

Just like that, Sorano and Yukino Aguria officially became members of Fairy Tail.

Behind them, another explosion of laughter and possibly furniture rang out through the guild hall. But this time, Sorano didn't flinch quite as much.

She looked down at her new guild mark, then over at Yukino's matching one.

Maybe… this chaotic, loud, ridiculous place really was the right choice.
