"Many are going to die"
Evans had let go of Zelia, but was still holding Hana who had remained silent, trying to contain the blush on her cheeks since she was aware that they were in a dangerous situation.
"Apparently several instructors died, but the unknown energies disappeared, the dock seems to be the safest place again"
Evans was going to return to his seven companions, but suddenly he felt the power of his elixir.
"Princess"
-Karven, guide them all to the dock, take care of Hana and Zelia. The rest follow Karven's orders. -Ordered Evans who jumped into the darkness of the forest.
••••
Minutes before.
In a place on the island, in an area where the forest met the foot of a mountain, the princess's group was resting, it was Lunia's turn to stand guard.
Pop!
A crimson lightning bolt had partially illuminated the island.
-Everyone get ready, we must evacuate to the dock! - Princess Amelia exclaimed, leading her companions.
All the girls were escaping when a stampede of black-eyed rabbits suddenly emerged.
-To the trees! -Amelia shouted.
The group used wind magic to reach the trees, but shortly after, an imperial boar appeared with a wound in its side from which its intestines were slightly protruding.
"They look like cuts from an animal's claws"
-Princess?... -One of the girls asked scared.
-Shhh. -Amelia put her index finger to her lips.
The 4 girls understood, something dangerous was nearby. While they were waiting, in silence, an imposing-looking black Tigrant that was at the fifth rank appeared, approached the imperial boar and struck it on the head, knocking down the robust body of the wounded beast.
The black Tigrante: it was a variant of the Tigrante; The tigrants were tigers without stripes, robust, muscular and powerful, they were almost a warrior on four legs, since the mana in their bodies constantly circulated and imitated the aura of the warriors quite well. Being a variant, this Tigrant measured 3.4 meters high and 5.2 meters long, these beasts were known for being excessively territorial.
"How did that get here? That beast should be in Zone B, is it that fast?"
The girls could hear how the Tigrante chewed the meat and bones, they were scared.
The princess took out the elixir that Evans gave her.
"I believe in you," Amelia thought, bringing the elixir to her chest. Seconds passed, which seemed like hours to the girls, the Tigrante stopped eating and looked towards the tree.
"I already knew we were here," Amelia thought.
The Tigrant roared loudly, one of the girls was about to faint, but the princess attacked her with a needle of light to keep her awake.
The Tigrante hit the tree where the female student was on the verge of fainting with his claws, then the Tigrante gave another blow and the tree began to fall.
The crying female student clung to the tree that was already falling.
Bang!
The tree fell and the female student was hit, but she had protected herself with her magic so as not to suffer serious injuries. Even so, she did not dare to look up, since she felt the breath of the Tigrante.
-I don't want to die. -Said the female student crying with a broken voice.
Bang!
Princess Amelia shot an arrow of light with a bow created with magic.
The unharmed Tigrante looked at the princess, bared his teeth and began to growl. The Tigrante seemed ready to attack if attacked again.
"Please, Evans," the princess thought, raising her bow and shooting another arrow.
Bang!
The arrow exploded near the Tigrante's right eye, who only blinked as he jumped towards the princess's tree, but the instant the arrow had exploded, Evans jumped and used all the mana he had in his three circles to cover his sword.
Bang!
Evans stabbed the beast's right eye and activated a freezing spell that froze part of the Tigrante's face.
Evans backed away using only his physical strength, picked up the female student who was still on the ground and climbed the tree where the princess was.
The princess hugged Evans and he asked her:
-Do you have mana elixirs?
-Yeah. -The princess responded, taking off her ring to give it to Evans.
He reviewed the content.
"28 mid-level mana elixirs; it is indeed rich"
-I thought you only had about ten elixirs. -Evans said, sketching a subtle smile, but shortly after he indicated to the princess: -Guide your female companions to the dock.
-And you? -Amelia asked with a firm look.
-Someone must hold that tigrant. -Evans said.
-No! -Exclaimed the princess.
The Tigrante was removing the layer of ice from his face and Evans noticed; Therefore, he looked firmly at the princess and said:
-Now, go.
-You can't die. I will never forgive you if you die. -Amelia told him with anger and sadness, then she looked at her female companions and told them: -Follow me!
The princess took the arm of the female student Evans had led to the tree and walked away.
The Tigrant growled again and again.
"Apparently my stealth is good, plus the distraction caused by the arrow of light; it was enough for me to hit him; but now he is alert"
Evans looked around, he noticed a few presences, but there was one quite close.
"Santa Rose, apparently you hate my fiancée."
Evans took two mana elixirs and began to jump at speed between the trees and the ground to distract the Tigrant, when he was approaching the holy Rose, she tried to move away but he passed right by her.
-Holy Rose! -Evans said pretending to be surprised, he took her by the waist and they began to escape but the Tigrante did not follow them.
"I knew it, you guided that thing towards the princess; if it weren't for the divine pact you have, I would kill you right here"
-Santa Rose, your companions? -Evans asked as he stopped at the top of a tree.
Evans took out two more elixirs and took them.
-I can help you recover your mana with my power. -Said the holy Rose.
-Thank you, but it is not necessary at the moment. -Expressed Evans who was still attentive to the Tigrante's movements.
"It can't be that easy, don't I think they would just trust some beasts to attack me?"
Evans was thinking about the possibilities, and concluded in his mind:
"They don't know who I am; then, the Duchess; the Duchess accused Hana of being a witch, now her connection to the Holy Temple is evident; I will kill your successor before he returns to the dukedom; you can be sure."
Evans felt the Tigrante move away.
"I think they must be waiting for me near the dock; one hit; if they consider that I am just a student with a maximum of three mana circles, it is obvious that they would think that I am easy to kill"
