Chapter 40 - Chapter 14 season 2

Murmurs spread among the students who were more interested in the grades of those admitted to class S than in their own grades.

There were six frames of limgic wood and one frame of pure gold with a gem on the top. The pure gold frame was placed on top of the wooden frames and contained the names of 45 students selected to belong to the prestigious S class that opened the doors to countless opportunities.

"I can't believe it, he won in the end"

"and he came third, not bad, but..."

The rumors came and went, but stopped when a student announced:

-Evans Qualty approaches.

It was incredible to see how all the students were silent and gave way to Evans who was walking next to Lizet.

"In the end I came third; the princess came second, she is talented; Asert; apparently she has overwhelming talent; Lizet, 14th place, not bad; I think I lost a lot of advantage with the question I didn't answer"

Evans looked at Lizet and asked:

-Shall we go? We should go to the cafeteria for breakfast, tomorrow is the official entrance ceremony.

-Yes, let's go to the cafeteria.

The two left immediately, Evans was not interested in seeing the rest of the names, because he had already thought that in the end he would end up meeting the rest of his classmates when they met in the S class room.

Arriving at the cafeteria, all the tables were occupied by second and third year students, Evans looked around and muttered:

-Our toothless friend. Come on.

Lizet laughed, followed Evans and they reached the student who had lost his tooth, and Evans said to him:

-Thank you for reserving the table, you can go to the secondary cafeteria, but first bring us breakfast number 1.

-Yeah.

Evans looked around and saw some students with a decent power level. Shortly afterward the student arrived with Evans and Lizet's breakfast. Two fried eggs from Feziz, Meriatz bread, high quality coffee. It looked like a great breakfast.

The Feziz was an exotic bird bred with great diligence, as it laid few eggs per year, which raised the price of Feziz eggs and meat.

-Good job. However... you know the detect magic spell. If you master it you can create variants that allow you to detect other things.

The student paled before Evans's steady and cordial gaze, tears came, he fell to his knees.

Evans helped him up and said in a sympathetic tone:

-It's okay, friend; we all make mistakes; as punishment I just want you to eat these breakfasts, otherwise I won't be able to keep my composure, and believe me, crying won't be enough afterwards.

The student looked at Evans, looked at the breakfast, then looked around, until Evans said:

-You're looking for Henry, I've looked for him too, he's good at hiding. Now don't waste time, eat.

-Please! -The student pleaded.

-Oh! Don't make me look like the bad guy, when you poisoned my food. -Evans said.

The vast majority of students looked accusingly at the student who had a bad reputation.

-See, you are quite infamous. follow me Let's go to the training camps.

The student followed Evans with his eyes downcast and without saying words.

-Comrade Evans, if you allow me.

Evans heard a female voice, turned and saw the saint.

"How disgusting!"

-What do you want, Santa Rose?

-You don't have to use the title of saint. -He said with feigned courtesy.

-I apologize, Miss Rose, but why did you stop me?

-He does not believe that forgiveness is the way to salvation.

"To the salvation of the enemy, it will be"

-I am not going to forgive my enemies, I am sorry if that offends you, out of courtesy, I will only allow it this once. My friend, now you must know, a third offense equals a horrible death. -Evans warned the student that he had lost the tooth, then he looked at the saint, nodded and walked away with Lizet to the second Cafeteria.

When they reached the second cafeteria they saw the first-year students, a silence spread when they saw Evans enter.

-I think I ruined the atmosphere. -Evans whispered.

Most of the tables were occupied, Evans looked around and saw Hana and Karven. Hana greeted him and he walked towards them:

-Can we accompany them?

-Go ahead, young Evans. -Karven responded somewhat surprised.

-Lizet, wait for me here, I'll go bring breakfast. -Evans indicated.

Lizet wanted to object but remembered that Evans demanded that she stop acting like a maid.

While, he bought a more modest breakfast that was only worth 5 silver coins per breakfast, he saw a group of people sitting alone, he immediately recognized the Crystal Princess of the coastal kingdom.

"She's a great talent; she would be a great ally. And that half-elf seemed talented too; I'll consider that later."

The half-elf blushed the moment she realized Evans was watching her.

"How strange! he suddenly lost his serenity"

Evans took the tray and returned to the table where Lizet, Hana and Karven were sitting.

-Did you get to class S? -Evans asked Hana.

She lowered her gaze, and he did not hesitate to speak:

-I think you have great potential, you were about to activate a light spell; just never give up, no one knows, maybe you will reach S class later.

-It's difficult, but you're right; I won't give up. -Hana said while clenching her fists in a funny way, which made the rest of the group laugh.

-How did you meet? -Karven asked Evans.

-It was a coincidence and because of my own curiosity; I saw Miss Hana trying to create a light spell and decided to support her when I saw that she was using an inappropriate spell; magician things, you wouldn't be able to sleep if you kept thinking about that circle that was never activated. -Evans said in a cordial tone.

-I always heard that magicians were obsessed with magic, apparently it's true. -Karven added with an enthusiastic voice.

The group continued talking about trivial topics and after several minutes they separated again.
