Chapter 126 - The Fall of Bloodveil ( 1 ) - Aftermath

LARMESIA VALLEY — BLOODVEIL HARBOUR

The evening was peaceful.

For the first time in what felt like forever, there was no fighting.

No screaming.

No explosions.

Just the warm lights of a small house in Larmesia Valley.

A man stood outside the front door.

He smiled.

DAVID:

"Kriya! Your dad is here! Open the door!"

From inside—

KRIYA:

"Yes, Mom!"

The door opened.

Kriya froze.

Her eyes widened.

Then her face lit up.

KRIYA:

"DAD!"

She ran toward him and hugged him tightly.

David laughed as he wrapped his arms around his daughter.

DAVID:

"It's been months since I saw you."

He pulled away and looked at her.

DAVID:

"You've grown."

Kriya smiled.

KRIYA:

"I missed you."

Her mother walked toward them.

MOTHER:

"Dinner's ready."

David looked at her.

DAVID:

"How are you?"

She smiled.

MOTHER:

"I'm fine."

A small pause.

MOTHER:

"I missed you."

David smiled.

DAVID:

"I missed you too."

The three of them sat around the dinner table.

They talked.

They laughed.

They shared stories about everything that had happened while David was away.

For a few minutes...

The world felt normal.

Kriya looked at her parents.

Her smile grew.

KRIYA:

"I'm so happy."

Her parents looked at her.

KRIYA:

"My family is finally together."

David smiled.

His wife smiled.

And then—

CRACK.

Everyone froze.

The sound came from beneath the floor.

DAVID:

"...What was that?"

The entire house shook.

BOOM!

The table jumped.

Plates fell to the floor.

Furniture slammed against the walls.

Kriya screamed.

KRIYA:

"WHOA!"

David immediately stood.

DAVID:

"KRIYA! HOLD MY HAND!"

The ground split.

A massive crack tore through the floor.

Kriya grabbed her father's hand.

DAVID:

"Don't let go!"

Another tremor hit.

The house tilted.

David lost his footing and fell.

KRIYA:

"DAD!"

David grabbed the edge of the floor.

DAVID:

"Kriya! Hold your mother!"

He looked across the collapsing room.

DAVID:

"I'm coming!"

He forced himself up and leaped across the widening gap.

The earth outside suddenly erupted.

A massive fountain of lava burst into the air.

The entire valley shook.

The roof began collapsing.

David looked around in disbelief.

DAVID:

"What the fuck is happening?!"

Then he saw them.

Tornadoes forming in the distance.

The sky turning orange.

The land breaking apart.

And through the smoke—

Figures began appearing.

Demons.

David stepped outside.

His expression slowly changed.

The peaceful valley he had returned to...

Was disappearing.

The entire country was falling apart.

THE FALL OF BLOODVEIL

David ran.

The ground split behind him.

Buildings collapsed.

Fire spread through the streets.

People screamed as they tried to escape.

David kept running toward his home.

He had only one thought.

Kriya.

He reached the house.

The front door was gone.

David rushed inside.

DAVID:

"KRIYA!"

Silence.

He looked around.

His breathing stopped.

The room was destroyed.

Everything they had shared was gone.

And there—

Two lifeless figures.

David froze.

A message had been left behind.

Written across the ruined wall:

NEVER LEAVE THEM AGAIN.

David's knees gave out.

He fell to the floor.

His hands trembled.

His eyes filled with tears.

He couldn't speak.

The memories from only minutes ago returned.

Kriya smiling.

His wife telling him dinner was ready.

His daughter saying—

"My family is finally together."

David lowered his head.

Then his expression changed.

The sadness remained.

But beneath it—

Rage.

He slowly stood.

His fists tightened.

DAVID:

"How..."

His voice trembled.

DAVID:

"How did this even happen?"

He looked toward the burning sky.

DAVID:

"WHO DID THIS?!"

His voice echoed through the ruined valley.

DAVID:

"I WILL KILL EVERYONE BEHIND THIS!"

AURORA CLIFF — BLOODVEIL HARBOUR

The destruction had already reached Aurora Cliff.

The ground was cracked.

Smoke covered the streets.

Buildings had collapsed.

People were injured and trying to escape.

Among them was a young soldier.

Alexander.

He carried medical supplies through the chaos.

ALEXANDER:

"Give me some bandages!"

A wounded woman was brought toward him.

Alexander immediately knelt beside her.

ALEXANDER:

"Ma'am, you'll be fine."

He wrapped the bandage around her arm.

ALEXANDER:

"Don't worry. Stay with us."

Another soldier ran toward him.

SOLDIER:

"Alexander! We need help!"

Alexander stood.

ALEXANDER:

"I need all squads fighting the demons."

He pointed toward the town hall.

ALEXANDER:

"And send every medic we have there."

The soldier hesitated.

SOLDIER:

"Alexander..."

A commander approached.

COMMANDER:

"You can't save everyone."

Alexander looked at the people around him.

Families.

Children.

Wounded soldiers.

People searching through the ruins.

Alexander shook his head.

ALEXANDER:

"I won't leave."

COMMANDER:

"Go back. This place is becoming impossible to defend."

Alexander looked toward the burning horizon.

ALEXANDER:

"No."

He picked up his weapon.

ALEXANDER:

"I need to save as many people as I can."

He looked toward the distant Royal City.

ALEXANDER:

"I'm going there."

COMMANDER:

"For what?"

ALEXANDER:

"Aid."

He started walking.

Then stopped.

ALEXANDER:

"If the Royal City still has the resources..."

He looked back at the civilians.

ALEXANDER:

"...we might still be able to save people."

The commander grabbed his shoulder.

COMMANDER:

"The royal messenger will arrive soon."

Alexander looked at him.

COMMANDER:

"When they arrive, they'll decide what happens next."

Alexander looked back at the ruined town.

ALEXANDER:

"Then until they arrive..."

He raised his weapon.

ALEXANDER:

"...I'll stay here."

A demon emerged from the smoke.

Alexander charged.

REPORT FROM THE MESSENGER

A royal messenger stood inside the emergency command center.

His hands trembled as he read the report.

The room was silent.

MESSENGER:

"The aftermath of the Black Meeting has caused a great calamity across Bloodveil Harbour."

He looked down at the report.

MESSENGER:

"Entire regions have been destroyed."

Another page.

MESSENGER:

"Cities are experiencing mass evacuation."

Another.

His voice became quieter.

MESSENGER:

"Thousands of families have been separated."

The room remained silent.

Then came the numbers.

BLOODVEIL HARBOUR

Population Before: 51,000,000

Current Population: 39,000,000

Injured: 20,000,000

Estimated Aid Required:

100,000,000+ NIT SHARDS

Nobody spoke.

The number sat on the screen.

One hundred million.

The kingdom wasn't simply damaged.

It was facing a national catastrophe.

FAR FROM THE CHAOS

Far away from Bloodveil Harbour...

There was an island.

No armies.

No demons.

No collapsing cities.

No screams.

Only the sound of the ocean.

Ragnorak descended from the sky.

Its massive claws touched the ground.

The Devil Horns crew fell from its back.

Junyu landed on the ground.

He slowly opened his eyes.

He looked around.

JUNYU:

"...Where are we?"

Mil looked toward the ocean.

For a moment, he said nothing.

Then—

MIL:

"Far from all the pain."

Junyu looked at him.

Mil continued.

MIL:

"We're on an island far away from everything."

Junyu slowly sat up.

He looked toward the horizon.

The memory returned.

Morgan.

The Destroyer.

The country collapsing.

His friends falling.

Everything they had lost.

Ikiro stood nearby.

His expression was empty.

IKIro:

"What's the point?"

Everyone looked at him.

Ikiro lowered his head.

IKIro:

"Everything happened because of us."

Silence.

Junyu looked down.

His hands tightened.

Then he stood.

His body was still exhausted.

But he stood anyway.

He looked toward the distant horizon.

JUNYU:

"You're right."

Ikiro looked at him.

Junyu's eyes hardened.

JUNYU:

"It happened because of us."

A pause.

JUNYU:

"And we'll change all of it."

The wind moved across the island.

Junyu looked toward the ruined horizon.

JUNYU:

"We'll go back."

Mil looked at him.

Junyu's expression became determined.

JUNYU:

"And we'll fix everything."

The crew stood together.

Behind them, Ragnorak spread its wings.

Ahead of them—

An entirely different world waited.

THE DESTROYER ARC HAS BEGUN.
