As I woke up, I notice I was in a very big room on a comfortable bed. I couldn't tell how long I must have passed out but I knew I was extremely hungry. Luckily for me there was a bowl of hot noodles right in front of me. I quickly dug into devouring it. Immediately I was done, to my amazement the door knob, to me, started opening in slow motion. I was frighted as the door finally swung open and to my luck it was a tray of another different dish. I faked sleeping has the girl dropped the food while looking amazed on where the previous food went. Before I could recall what was happening she's screamed on tops of her lungs saying "I think he's awake".Her scream felt like a microphone plug into my ears.
I could hear the rushing of her family into the room like wild wind washing over the shores. My instincts told me to get up and run but I thought is through and decided to stay put. A boy who apparently looked a bit older than me rushed in first then followed by a man and a woman who was I guess in their early forties, before a girl in a white coat and a stethoscope at hand arrived last. She drew closer to me and for some reasons I could hear each of their heart beats loud and clear. Her presence finally arose my instinct as I jolted awake faster than the speed of light. The room was dead silent as everyone was amazed at my incredible speed . I broke the silence saying " Umm, hello please who are you and where am I". The eldest daughter said "My name is Janet and I am a final year medical student, please cool down and inform us about yourself". It was weird to me as I couldn't understand what you was saying because she was speaking so slowly . At first I thought maybe she was a slow speaker so I asked "Please I know you talk slowly but can you please increase your speed ". The whole family was shocked at my question. She tried talking faster but I couldn't manage to comprehend what she was saying. Finally we reached an agreement to exchange note to aid communication. The girl excused herself to get something from her medical kit leaving me to her family.
The boy by name Kamsi wrote "Hi, there my name is Kamsi, nice to meet you", while extending his hand for a handshake . As I sense there was decorum in the environment I lowered my guard and extended my hand for the handshake. The weird thing was that I could see their underwear. I asked"Please can you put on something, I can see your underwears"this made the family to double check their dresses before saying "how son, we are all in full covers how can you see our underwear?" this was said by their dad Mr Juvenus. I just closed my eyes requesting for them to at least change into something thicker, the whole family looked confused before Doris, the youngest of them all, ran to her sister requesting she attended to me. One by one the family diffused leaving me alone. I thought I had scared them so I just laid back on the bed.
After 30 minutes Doris and Kamsi came into the room with thicker body covering, before Doris asked she spun around saying "Can you see it now" looking in her direction I could still see her and Kamsi's underwear, so I closed my eyes nodding positively to her question. They both were shocked, before leaving the room in amazements. Multiple times they tried increasing the number of cloths they put on their body but all to know avail. After numerous failed trials, Janet finally came in with the hearing aid and a contact lens. She dropped it on my bed while crawling refusing to stand up because she was afraid I would be able to see her underwear. I finally put on the hearing aid and eye lens finally asking them to come in. Kamsi came crawling in. Since they struggled to try to fix my condition, I finally told them that the contact lens did the trick. I would just have to get used to the view. As soon as I said this, Doris and Janet along with their parents came into my room. I cringed at their sight but tried to maintain my cool though the hearing aid really helped smooth communication to a particular extent.
The whole families sat around me why Mr Juvenus asked "Okay son so I guess the contact lens and hearing aids are helping you overcome your disease right?" I replied positively to his question then Mrs Juvenus asked "Dear so what is your name?" that question made me blank. As she further asked "Don't you know your name,family or relation?". This made me even more confused so I answered "I really don't know my name,family or relation. I don't really even know how I ended here" I guess my response put them in a worry state as their thoughts ran through my mind. It was weird when I answered Kamsi's question without him even asking it, this made the whole room go dead silent. In my defense I said "it was a lucky guess I must have had", but it was strange that I could read all their thoughts before they even say it. Mr Juvenus said "My son you can stay with us as long as you want, until we are able to find your parents and your routes. But before then allow us call you Robert ".I was excited to have a new family a new name in an unfamiliar place. "Really this new family is awesome, I can't wait to see what the universe has in store for me" this was my thought as the day finally closed it's eye.
