Prologue

Justice—what is justice? Opinions about justice are subjective when it comes to the general masses. Most will say that justice is the act of granting fairness and equality to everyone, others state that justice punishes those who are evil—without taking consideration for the moral law. Justice, for me, is helping those in need, granting them a new life that they weren't given. Perhaps my view might be similar to the majority's opinion, that is because, never in my life, have I experienced a tragedy in which I thirsted for that justice. Would my belief in justice change once I experience it? Or would I still hold to that same belief. Only time will tell. I've always believed in forgiveness and second chances—a chance to redeem oneself and to change, I believe that from time, people would change and eradicate the distorted parasite of a desire to do evil acts. While many refuse to change—believing unlawful acts can only satiate their needs—the few that choose redemption are enough for me; they bring hope to this bleak and crumbling world.

And so, I ask you: If a seemingly perfect world were to be created—a world where justice is first priority, no subjective opinions and biases, criminals are punished cruelly to spread out awareness, a world where small evil acts that are done—may it be lying, stealing, murder, are deemed to be punished by the court of law, would you want to live in this world? Or would you rather remain in this corrupt, unforgiving world?
