Boom!
An eerie, massive sound echoed. The planets floating nearby moved more violently. Although these planets were small, they held all sorts of different colored lights within them.
This was a pressure that was difficult to describe in words. When they heard the sound, they all looked back. What came into view was an incredibly massive eye. The eye glowed purple and was even bigger than the small planet they were standing on.
At the sight of this, Stephen and the other two froze, as if their hearts had stopped. Was a human truly capable of defeating a monster like this? If it wasn't too late, they would have turned and run.
The purple eye slowly retreated, and as it moved further away, they saw another purple eye appear in the dark cosmos. Then, a massive and grotesque face slowly emerged before them. It was a huge humanoid being, but its face was like the surface of a planet. There were countless huge, pockmarked craters, like solidified brown waves. Around the edge of its body, faint red marks could be seen, like churning lava. Its terrifying eyes stared at them, a pressure they had never felt before.
At this moment, they finally understood how massive the difference was between them and this dimensional demon!
"Invaders, you have trespassed into the Dark Dimension. You will face an irreversible punishment!" Dormammu opened his terrifying mouth, his voice incredibly loud. It was clear from his tone that he was furious. He had just felt the presence of these invaders as he could feel everything within his dimension.
"Wait! You are from Kamar-Taj!" Dormammu's terrifying eyes widened. He could not believe that people from Kamar-Taj would come to him to die.
"So what if we are!" Stephen gritted his teeth and stepped forward. Since they had come this far, there was no turning back.
"Hahahaha, you insignificant bugs! Entering my dimension, you fools must be tired of living!" Dormammu laughed, his voice low. He was overjoyed. He had a deep hatred for those damned people from Kamar-Taj! Now that someone had delivered themselves to him to be slaughtered, he was naturally in a great mood.
"If it wasn't for you! The Ancient One would not have died!" Stephen was disgusted with Dormammu. If it wasn't for him, how would things have ended up like this? He unconsciously began to gather power, and a golden circle of light spun in his hands!
"What? The Ancient One is dead?" Dormammu tilted his head when he heard this news and burst into laughter. The deafening laughter made their eardrums tremble. Even the ground on the planet shook from the laughter.
"Young man, did you come to deliver good news?" For Dormammu, this was the best news he could have received. With the Ancient One dead, there was no one on Earth who could stop him!
At the sight of Dormammu's smug look, Stephen and the others' faces became even more grim.
"Tell me, you insignificant insects. How do you want to die?" Dormammu leaned in and asked the guys who looked like ants to him.
The others didn't say a word, just glared at him with hateful expressions. But for Dormammu, this was an affront to his authority. He moved his thoughts, and countless purple lights fell from the sky, quickly shooting at the four of them. In an instant, a great amount of dust rose, and immense energy exploded on the small planet.
"Boring insects!" Dormammu finished his attack and was about to disappear back into the darkness. But then, he opened his eyes in surprise. His expression was one of disbelief, for he felt that the four small insects were still alive. As the dust cleared, the four of them stood in place, unharmed. The man in front had a smirk on his face.
"Say, is that all the power you have?" Cassius stood there with his hands in his pockets, looking at Dormammu with a half-smile.
He had to admit, he was surprised when he first saw Dormammu. Not because he was scared, but because the creature was so bizarrely shaped. He would have believed it if someone told him people had been developing real estate on its face. Just looking at all the trenches on its face made him feel uncomfortable.
"Insignificant insect, you dare to mock me?!" Dormammu couldn't believe his casual attack had been deflected. And the insect in front of him, who he saw as an ant, dared to talk back! His eyes narrowed, and the rocks on the planets around them formed into huge stone pillars that shot toward Cassius and the others.
"Stand behind me." Cassius was unflustered. He pulled one hand out of his pocket and simply swiped at the air. A dark red barrier instantly surrounded the four of them. The moment the stone pillars touched the barrier, they were reduced to dust and fragments.
Dormammu was furious. This was the first time he had ever seen an ant so resilient! He had easily blocked this attack as well. What made him even more furious was the look in the man's eyes. Although there was a smile, there was more disdain and mockery.
Roar!
Dormammu's mouth opened slightly, and a terrifying purple light began to gather inside. Any surrounding planets that got too close to this energy were disintegrated.
"Be careful!" Wong's forehead was covered in a cold sweat. Although he wasn't fighting, the pressure had reached its peak.
"This guy is definitely going to go all out!" Baron Mordo broke into a sweat. Although Cassius had blocked the last attack, that was clearly not Dormammu's full strength. Furthermore, the creature was now enraged, so he was definitely going to use a powerful attack.
"Can this guy's bad breath turn into a purple ball?" Cassius's face remained calm. He even let out a bored yawn. "Could you hurry up? Does that thing need to charge up?"
There was no doubt that Cassius's words were a perfect taunt. Even his companions behind him were surprised that Cassius would try to attract more firepower in a situation like this.
Bang!
The purple light beam shot out from Dormammu's mouth, and in the blink of an eye, it surrounded all of them. The ground on the planet was cracking, and even the small planets nearby were affected. In the Dark Dimension, the light beam was so dazzling, like a pillar of creation. It even pierced through several planets without showing any signs of stopping.
As the purple light stopped, a smirk appeared in Dormammu's eyes. The annoying flies were finally dead. But then, his eyes froze. He was still in disbelief, because he felt that the four small insects were still alive.
Through the dust, Cassius walked out, enveloped in a faint red light. He stretched his neck and said with an impatient voice, "This doesn't even count as a massage for me!"
"Fine, you guys just watch from the side." With that, Cassius waved his right hand. The broken planet they were standing on flew to another planet. A red barrier surrounded them. It was clear that he had made up his mind to face Dormammu alone.
"I have to admit, ant, your power is pretty good!" Dormammu was annoyed, but he had to admit that this was a lot stronger than he had imagined.
"You're not bad either, but your face is too ugly!" Cassius looked at the huge figure of Dormammu with a half-smile.
"Is this Cassius's true power?" Stephen's expression was blank, and he muttered to himself. He finally understood why the Ancient One insisted on making Cassius his godfather. This man's power was too terrifying. He had never heard of anyone who could face Dormammu. And he was doing it so casually, as if nothing in the world mattered to him.
"I finally know how big the difference is between people. It's bigger than the difference between a man and a dog." Wong's eyes were twitching. Cassius was simply too monstrous! And from Cassius's expression, he hadn't even started fighting seriously! He felt like Cassius was here on a sightseeing trip.
"Die!" Dormammu stopped with the banter. He hadn't been this angry in a long time! Countless energy blades gathered in the void, filled with terrifying energy as they shot toward Cassius. The energy blades were as fast as light and could not be seen with the naked eye. All they could see were the afterimages.
Not only that, but when the energy blades hit Cassius, they exploded. At the same time, other light swords were forming in the sky!
Looking out, the dark cosmos seemed to be surrounded by the dense energy blades. In the darkness, Dormammu's power was almost infinite! The energy blades in the sky were like a galaxy, a different color from the stars. But one thing was the same: none of the three of them could have withstood even a single one of them!
Stephen's throat bobbed up and down. His voice trembled as he asked, "Cassius... will he be okay?"
"I don't know... I guess... maybe... he won't die." Wong answered, stuttering. If Cassius died, there was no doubt that they would all be stuck here. The thought gave him a headache.
Although this was a sight they would never see in their lives, it was too shocking. And if their calculations were correct, in less than ten seconds, over a hundred million energy blades had been shot into the void!
When the attack stopped, even Dormammu let out a sigh of relief. Although his energy was infinite, it didn't mean he wouldn't feel tired. And with an attack like that, that person couldn't have withstood it!
But then, Cassius emerged, his body glowing with a faint red light. He stretched his neck and said with a bored tone, "You call that a massage? It's not even a scratch!"
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" Dormammu's voice echoed in the Dark Dimension. The terrifying roar even caused cracks to appear on the surrounding planets.
"Look at you, why are you so angry?" Cassius's lips curled into a smirk, and he spread his hands. "If you're not satisfied, keep going!"
Before Cassius could even finish, countless purple tentacles grew from the different novas. They quickly grabbed at Cassius, trying to whip the dark red shield around his body.
"Alright, I don't really like this one!" A reddish-orange light flashed in Cassius's eyes. He pulled his right hand out of his pocket and gently waved it to the side. The Phoenix Force created ripples in the void. The moment the tentacles touched the Phoenix Force, they disintegrated into countless black particles!
When this happened, everyone was stunned!
"Is that the Phoenix Force?!" Dormammu was shocked. He had felt that power so clearly. The power was incredibly familiar. It was the Phoenix Force!
He knew that the Phoenix Force was one of the oldest and most powerful forces in the cosmos. But he had never imagined that this insignificant insect would possess such a terrifying power!
At this moment, he finally understood why Cassius wasn't scared. He was relying on this terrifying power.
Cassius waved his hands.
A terrifying energy burst from his body.
The dark red light gushed out as if it had found an outlet.
The terrifying power and pressure made Dormammu feel a sense of dread. What terrified him even more was that as the Phoenix Force began to overflow, the terrifying energy began to annihilate the Dark Dimension. It gradually disintegrated everything into nothingness.
"The Phoenix Force!" Stephen was stunned for a moment, then he suddenly understood. "I see. No wonder you are so gifted..."
If that was the case, then everything made sense. The reason Cassius had the guts to come here was because of the Phoenix Force!
"This guy's body can withstand such a terrifying power." Wong's voice was trembling, his face full of shock.
The Phoenix Force was incredibly powerful. It was not something a normal person could absorb. If their bodies weren't strong enough, they would be blown apart by the Phoenix Force. Not only that, but it was also very risky to use. But Cassius seemed to be able to control it with ease.
Dormammu noticed that the terrifying Phoenix Force was destroying his dimension.
"No! Die!" He tried to stop the Phoenix Force from destroying the Dark Dimension. But when his energy touched the Phoenix Force, it was turned into black particles.
"Right! This guy! If I just kill him..." He thought of this and was about to try and kill Cassius. But then he remembered that no matter what kind of attack he used, this guy was unharmed.
"Young man, you win." Dormammu looked at the rapidly disappearing Dark Dimension. His voice was even trembling. Once he lost the Dark Dimension, he would be devoured by other dimensional demons! All of his power came from the Dark Dimension. The Phoenix Force destroying the Dark Dimension would do him no good!
At his words, Stephen and the others were stunned. Dormammu was begging for mercy?!
