Voom!
A low hum, accompanied by a green light, suddenly formed a deep green, semi-circular barrier. The barrier enveloped all the falling stones and rubble, violently flinging them out of the window.
This sudden turn of events made everyone present breathe a long sigh of relief.
"I almost thought I was dead!"
"What on earth is going on? Why did it suddenly explode?"
"Is it a terrorist attack?"
"What saved us just now?"
After their near-death experience, everyone's legs gave out, and they collapsed onto the floor. What had just happened was too terrifying; they even thought the hotel was going to collapse.
"Fuck..." Tony gasped for air, still feeling shaken. He had almost imagined himself, the great Iron Man, dying in such a pathetic way. However, his gaze shifted behind him. He had clearly seen it: a young girl with dark green hair, her hands emitting a green glow.
"Are you alright?" Cassius quickly stepped forward, supporting the somewhat weakened Lorna. He had been about to act himself, but he hadn't expected Lorna to react so quickly. And that feat should have been far beyond Lorna's current limits. She had somehow managed to block all the massive debris and then fling it all out.
"I... I'm fine." Lorna's face was pale, and her legs gave out, causing her to lean directly into Cassius's arms. Even her voice became incredibly weak. After being supported, the green light emanating from her hands finally dissipated.
"Tony!" Happy suddenly rushed in, bringing a large team of security personnel who immediately surrounded Tony. His expression was grave as he scanned all the guests, as if ready to open fire at the slightest sign of trouble. After confirming Tony was alright, Happy grimly issued orders.
"Teams one and two, search upstairs and find out what happened!"
"Teams three and four, question and check the guests at the scene!" There was no doubt this was a premeditated terrorist attack. They had even managed to evade security checks and silently plant explosives!
At the same time, the police arrived at the hotel with incredible speed and cordoned off the area.
Inside the hotel lounge.
"I'm really sorry something like this happened." Tony, sitting on the sofa, scratched his hair, apologizing profusely. Even if he luckily survived, the other guests would certainly face serious problems. After all, these were all top-tier wealthy individuals, and this incident had likely scared them badly. Just the cleanup afterward would be a huge headache.
"It's fine, as long as no one was hurt." Cassius shook his head, not taking the matter to heart. Instead, he walked over and poured a glass of warm water, handing it to Lorna, who was leaning on the sofa.
Although Lorna was somewhat exhausted now, the sudden situation had greatly improved her control over her abilities. And even without Lorna, these people wouldn't have been hurt.
Tony looked at Lorna at that moment, recalling what had just happened. If that girl Cassius brought hadn't been there today, the consequences would likely have been terrifying.
He couldn't help but be curious about her abilities. He thought about asking, but ultimately dismissed the idea. This was someone Cassius brought, and he wasn't in the mood to ask about it right now. He was more concerned about who was behind today's attack.
Just thinking about it made him irritable. Although Happy was already leading the security personnel in the search, they hadn't found many clues and could only further check the surrounding surveillance footage to see if they could find any traces.
"Thank you." Lorna took the warm water and took a sip. Her mental fatigue had improved significantly. After all, it was just overuse of her powers; there was no actual damage to her body.
"By the way, Tony, who do you think the attacker was?" Cassius asked, taking care of Lorna, without turning his head.
"Well..." Tony grew silent upon hearing this. Although he had some suspicions, he was debating whether or not to tell Cassius his guess. Because Cassius wasn't a member of the Avengers. If he told him, it might draw Cassius into danger.
Bang!
Just then, the lounge door was violently pushed open. A crimson figure rushed in with an anxious expression. When she saw Cassius sitting safely next to a girl, she finally breathed a long sigh of relief. She had rushed over immediately after hearing about what happened to Cassius and Tony. Fortunately, nothing had happened.
"Tony!" At that moment, other voices could be heard from outside the door. Steve and the others entered in a file, all looking worriedly at Tony. No one expected someone to attack Tony at a celebrity banquet. This would undoubtedly cause a significant impact. After finding that Tony was alright, the tension on their faces eased considerably.
"Cassius, I'll give you an explanation for this. You should take Lorna back to rest first," Tony said, hesitating, looking up at Cassius after seeing his teammates arrive. After all, this was an internal meeting, and it wasn't appropriate for Cassius to stay here. Moreover, there were some things he didn't know if he should tell Cassius.
"Alright," Cassius nodded slowly, no longer in the mood to stay here. In fact, before Wanda rushed in, he had already sensed Tony's intense emotional fluctuations. So Tony probably knew the truth but hadn't said it. This matter was clearly not as simple as it seemed.
Furthermore, Cassius didn't actually want to get involved in these matters. This was an Avengers matter, and his intuition told him that this incident was connected to the Winter Soldier, Bucky...
"Let's go, Lorna." Cassius helped Lorna stand up and slowly walked towards the door. It was then that Wanda finally noticed the girl next to Cassius.
He actually found me a good sister?! Wanda's eyes widened, her expression a mix of emotions, and she glared secretly at Cassius. It was as if she was saying, You just wait, I'll deal with you later.
Cassius helped Lorna past Wanda, shrugged, and left one word: "Surprise."
Surprise?!
You call this a surprise?! Wanda almost exploded on the spot. Two aren't enough? Now there's a third?! Although she knew he had good physical stamina, this was just too ridiculous. But because her teammates were all there, Wanda could only suppress her anger and remain silent.
"Let me see, who exactly is this woman?" Wanda turned her gaze to the dark green-haired girl. But the moment she saw Lorna, a strange feeling welled up inside her. Even her heart skipped a beat. A very peculiar sensation arose in her heart. This dark green-haired girl actually gave her a sense of familiarity, as if she had seen her somewhere before.
Watching Cassius help the girl away, Wanda suddenly turned and said to her teammates, "I'll see Mr. Cassius out."
At these words, everyone present looked at Wanda strangely. They didn't expect Wanda to voluntarily offer this.
"Alright, I'll leave it to you." Tony nodded. After all, danger had just occurred. It would be best if Wanda could escort his friend out.
After getting approval, Wanda jogged out of the lounge. The moment the lounge door closed, Tony's face instantly turned incredibly cold and grim. He looked at Steve with an angry expression.
"Just say it." Steve walked over and sat on the opposite sofa, casually placing his shield on the table. He had already sensed the deep hostility and defensiveness in Tony's eyes when he came in. He even noticed that Tony had his hand on his watch.
He knew very well that Tony's watch could instantly transform into a weaker version of his armored gauntlet.
"Steve, don't tell me you don't know anything?" Tony's eyes scanned Steve up and down, as if he would act instantly if anything seemed off.
In his opinion, this matter was undeniably linked to Steve. Perhaps Steve knew about it but hadn't told him. Because of these things, his mental state had been deteriorating, and he even felt that everyone was hostile towards him.
"Know what?" Steve frowned, his voice deep. "Are you implying that I planned this bombing?"
How could he not understand what Tony was hinting at? But he had no idea what was going on. And what good would killing Tony do him?
"Tony, you think everyone's a murderer. We're teammates!" Sam frowned, subconsciously refuting him. He had great faith in Steve's character. He might make mistakes, but he would never attack his own teammates. Let alone take their lives.
Tony quietly looked at everyone, then said, "This bombing was planned by Bucky."
The moment Tony said this, everyone present froze. No one expected Tony to come to such a conclusion. And they finally understood why Tony was so wary of Steve. Because last time, it was Steve who had let Bucky go.
"Tony, do you have any evidence when you say that?" Steve said, his face grim. In his opinion, Bucky would absolutely not do such a thing. And this situation clearly hadn't been investigated properly. How could he blame everything on Bucky? He definitely wouldn't stand by and let his friend be framed!
"Heh, evidence? You want evidence, I'll give it to you!" Tony sneered, taking a small piece of black material from his briefcase and placing it on the table.
"What is this?" Steve looked at the object Tony threw down.
"This is some explosive material Happy found upstairs. And it's the same material used to kill the King of Wakanda!" Tony said, enunciating each word, his voice filled with coldness. He was very familiar with these materials; he could determine their composition even without testing. And only this type of explosive would produce that specific charred black substance.
Everyone present looked at the substance on the table, their faces showing expressions of disbelief. Because no one expected it to be the same material.
"That's impossible." Steve frowned even more deeply, vehemently arguing, "Bucky isn't even in America. He couldn't possibly have entered the country."
He knew very well that Bucky wasn't here right now; he had no time or motive to commit the crime. This was clearly slander against his friend.
"Heh, I didn't think our Captain was still trying to shield the enemy," Tony leaned back on the sofa, looking indifferently at Captain America. If Captain America continued to be so stubbornly misled, then he shouldn't blame Tony for being ruthless.
"You're just pushing everything onto someone else." Steve stood up, grabbed his shield, and quickly walked towards the door. He felt that he simply couldn't communicate with Tony. The Tony now viewed him as an enemy, and communication was impossible under such circumstances.
After speaking, he walked out, having no intention of continuing the conversation with Tony. As for the others, they watched everything unfold helplessly.
"I'll investigate this matter personally," Tony's eyes were filled with coldness, showing no reaction to Steve's departure.
Natasha sat on a nearby chair, watching everything with a helpless expression. She never expected things to escalate to this point.
....
Meanwhile.
Cassius had just opened the back door, preparing to help Lorna into the back seat. Just then, a crimson figure appeared beside him. Wanda directly pushed Cassius into the back seat, her teeth grinding in anger.
Lorna, witnessing this sudden scene, was momentarily at a loss, staring blankly at the two of them.
"Is this your 'surprise'?!" Wanda furiously pointed at Lorna, gritting her teeth and hissing softly. She truly hadn't expected this so-called surprise to be another woman!
"Mmm." Cassius paused, then grinned and nodded. "What? Don't you like it?"
"You rotten scoundrel! Are you really insatiable?!" Wanda pinched his waist hard, her eyes turning red with anger. How could she like it? It was already hard enough to accept sharing him with one person. Now another one had appeared. She couldn't even imagine how many women Cassius had.
"Alright, alright, stop it." Cassius pulled Wanda a little closer, then called out to Lorna, who was standing outside the car. "Come on in."
Lorna hesitantly looked at Wanda, then gritted her teeth and slowly slid in, though her expression was extremely reserved. Although she didn't know what was going on, she could tell that Wanda and Cassius had an incredibly intimate relationship.
Looking at Lorna beside her, Wanda's teeth gnashed even more. "You beast! This girl doesn't even look fully developed yet!"
From her figure, she was extremely slender, not to mention her flat chest! Lorna looked down at herself in confusion, touching her body.
Cassius playfully patted Wanda's head. "You're too dirty-minded. What are you thinking?"
"Me, dirty-minded? It's clearly you..." Wanda was even more exasperated. It was clearly Cassius who couldn't control himself.
"Don't you feel like you're very familiar with her?" Cassius pulled Wanda closer, kissed her on the forehead, and then continued, "Because she... is your sister!"
The moment Cassius said this, Wanda's mind buzzed, and she froze completely.
"My sister?" She had never imagined that she had a sister. Lorna beside her also widened her eyes, completely clueless about what was happening.
"If you don't believe me, you can try using your Chaos Magic." Cassius spread his hands, shrugging indifferently.
Wanda skeptically raised her hand, and the moment the crimson glow appeared, that incredibly familiar and intimate feeling washed over her!
Even Lorna's eyes widened. She never expected to find her own blood relative at this moment.
"See?" Cassius smiled, pulling Wanda closer. "Now, how are you going to repay me?"
"You... my sister is right here!" Wanda's face flushed crimson, completely at a loss for how to react.
Cassius's lips curved upward. Doesn't this just make it more exciting?
