"So it's you!" Agatha turned her head sharply toward Cassius. The reason Scarlet Witch had suddenly changed was because of their mental link just now. It was this man who had been guiding Wanda!
'I didn't expect to have underestimated this owner of the Phoenix Force!' she thought to herself.
"Don't you dare look at Cassius!" Wanda, seeing Agatha's gaze, bristled with fury like a cat. She clapped her hands together, and the sea below suddenly surged violently. Countless crimson glows, mixed with the seawater, rushed toward Agatha, carrying a massive tidal wave.
"Damn you!" Agatha's condescending expression finally turned serious in the face of the crimson wave. She raised her hands and pulled them down, causing the dark clouds in the sky to move like flowing water. In an instant, they condensed into a massive black wall in front of her.
The next moment, the tidal wave slammed into the black wall with a tremendous roar, as if a behemoth from the abyss was bellowing. The air buzzed with a deafening hum. The colliding forces of the tsunami and the wall of clouds continuously wore each other down.
With each impact, a portion of the black clouds was eroded. Finally, on the third impact, the black wall was completely shattered. The crimson tidal wave, now a hurricane, slammed into Agatha.
"Die! Die!" Agatha shrieked in pain, her sharp voice echoing across the entire sky. The Chaos Magic in the tidal wave was also a mental attack, constantly gnawing at her willpower!
The wave and the wind dispersed the heavy black clouds and swept across the land. The chairs and umbrellas on the beach that hadn't been packed up were all carried away by the hurricane and pulled into the waves.
"Oh my God, is this the power of an Avenger?!"
"This is even more terrifying than a missile. This power doesn't belong in this world!"
"Despite having such power, that old witch is still not dead. It's unbelievable!"
The people in the distance looked at the apocalyptic scene and cried out in awe. Was this even a human fight anymore?! They had never imagined that a battle like this would be so breathtaking.
Meanwhile, on the Quinjet, Steve and the team, who were rushing to the scene, saw the live broadcast of the fight.
"Have you found out the identity of this woman?" Steve frowned and turned to Natasha, who was furiously typing on a computer.
"Not yet. At least, there are no records of this person in the official archives!" Natasha shook her head, her expression grim. She had already cross-referenced the woman's face with everyone in the database, but there was no record.
This cross-referencing wasn't just limited to files. It would even compare with things in newspapers. But even with that, she couldn't find a single useful piece of information! It was as if the woman in the black robe had appeared out of thin air.
"Besides that, the situation on the ground doesn't look good!" Falcon Sam said with a solemn expression, watching the live broadcast.
Back on the scene.
Bang!
Agatha endured the terrifying Chaos Magic, her hands suddenly spread out to her sides. With a roar, an incredibly terrifying black aura burst out from her body. The black aura, mixed with a purple glow, instantly enveloped her entire body.
The next second, this black energy burst out in all directions, and black ripples continuously slammed into the tidal wave, forcefully dispersing it.
Water splashed everywhere, and the remnants of the tidal wave crashed into the rocky coast. Even the rocky coast was shattered by this terrifying power.
The black aura didn't stop after dispersing the crimson tidal wave. It carried the aftershocks and slammed into Wanda.
"Cough, cough, cough!" Wanda was sent flying back several feet. She quickly used her crimson glow to stop herself from flying further back. But after being hit by this terrifying energy, her body was now injured. The surging blood inside her made her fair skin turn slightly red.
But despite all this, Wanda still looked up, her eyes filled with anger as she stared at Agatha in the distance.
"Scarlet Witch, I've already given you a chance. Since you're not willing to cooperate, then die!" Agatha's face was grim. The manic smile was gone. She had thought this would be an easy win, but she hadn't expected things to turn out this way.
She was no longer going to hold back. Anger was now consuming her. She had originally not wanted to kill anyone. She just wanted to leave a few warnings for Wanda and Cassius. After all, she didn't want the Avengers to stick to her like glue. But now was definitely not the time to back down.
She had decided. She wasn't just going to take the Phoenix Force and Chaos Magic, she was also going to destroy the souls of these two people!
"Haaah!!!" Agatha's wrinkled face became twisted and hideous. The black aura around her was pulled by an invisible force, pouring into her palms. She could even see these black energies struggling, as if they were souls moving around.
An incredibly terrifying power condensed between her palms. Even the dark clouds in the sky began to change. The clouds separated into countless gray threads that fused into the gray-black sphere. The constantly churning ocean was also drawn in by this terrifying power, and a vortex appeared in it. It was as if it wanted to be sucked into the black sphere.
The next moment, Agatha's eyes widened, and the black sphere in her hand instantly shot out a beam of light toward Wanda.
"Damn it!" Wanda felt the power contained within the black beam. She waved her right hand repeatedly, and countless crimson glows quickly condensed in front of her, forming a layer upon layer of shields.
But before she could fully condense her power, the beam had already slammed into the crimson glow. The crimson glow was now gradually being disintegrated by the dark energy. The aftershocks of the impact splashed onto the ground, creating countless tiny little holes.
"This woman! Sss! She's actually absorbing my power!" Wanda, who was using her Chaos Magic to defend herself, could keenly feel it. The energy beam that shot out was like a bridge between her and Agatha, constantly devouring her power.
Her expression was now grim, and her face became even more sullen. The rapidly draining power made Wanda start to panic. If this continued, she would inevitably face death! Although she wanted to change the current situation, there was nothing she could do.
[In a specific space, only the sorcerer who wrote the runes can use magic.]
Suddenly, Cassius's voice echoed in her mind.
"A specific space?" Wanda was stunned. A hint of understanding flashed in her eyes. She seemed to have understood what Cassius meant. If that was the case, she might be able to escape the current predicament!
Wanda's body suddenly burst forth with even more crimson glow. This glow swirled around her, slowly forming a crimson tidal wave that slammed into the black beam. Although the power was immense at this moment, it was still being devoured by Agatha.
On the Quinjet.
"Go faster! Wanda's situation is not looking good!" Although Steve didn't understand magic, he could tell that the black beam was constantly devouring Wanda's energy.
"This decision is completely wrong! She should be reducing her energy output right now!" Natasha's face was pale. Since the other party wanted to absorb the magic, the best way was to cut off the connection. Even if she used more power, it would only be devoured by the other party.
"This is just awful. This kind of enemy is Wanda's natural enemy!" Falcon Sam's expression was grim. After all, Wanda's attacks were all crimson glows. Against an enemy who could absorb crimson glows, this was not a fair fight. Even though they were already in a hurry, this was the fastest they could get there!
"Are you giving up, little witch?!" Agatha, seeing that Wanda was constantly releasing Chaos Magic, had a sinister smile on her face again. The more Chaos Magic Wanda released, the faster she could absorb it.
Feeling the endless power pouring into her body, she became more and more excited. After all, the more energy she could absorb, the stronger she would become. She had been worried that the battle would drag on, but the little witch had actually chosen to increase her Chaos Magic output on her own. This was the best thing that could have happened to her!
But as the endless crimson glow poured in, Agatha noticed that something wasn't right.
Buzz...
"What's going on?!" Agatha could keenly feel that the black beam she was releasing was now slowly starting to slip out of her control. Even her spell-casting hands had become incredibly sluggish, as if they had been turned to stone. Her expression instantly became one of extreme terror. She had no idea what was going on.
The next second, her spell-casting hands suddenly lost all power. The black beam in her hand instantly vanished into thin air. The dissipated black aura returned to the dark clouds above her head.
"What did you do! You damned little witch!" Her eyes widened, her face filled with terror, and she screamed with a sharp voice!
For a mage, losing their power was like losing their life. She couldn't even feel the presence of magic. At this moment, all that was left in her eyes was fear.
Suddenly...
Under the dark sky, several massive crimson runes suddenly appeared. The lines on them were an ancient language that very few people could understand. These crimson runes floated and rotated around them, as if they were a massive barrier.
"You've set up a barrier here?" Seeing this, Agatha instantly understood what had happened. Her face became incredibly ugly. She had never imagined that Wanda's magical talent would be so terrifying. It had taken her a long time to learn how to cast a barrier. But from the looks of it, it was possible that Wanda had improvised this on the spot. And it was because of this barrier that her magic had completely gone out of control!
"In a specific space, only the sorcerer who wrote the runes can use magic!" Wanda said coldly, her eyes filled with disdain. But after she said that, she couldn't help but sneak a peek at Cassius below.
If it weren't for Cassius's reminder, she would never have thought of using this method to break the stalemate. And it was also because of Cassius's guidance that she was able to cast this barrier at this moment.
"It seems that Wanda is indeed quite clever. She learns pretty fast!" Cassius stood there with his arms crossed, watching the scene calmly. What no one around them noticed was that even though the battle had caused countless aftershocks, Cassius was not affected at all. Even the sand below him didn't change in the slightest.
"You damned little witch, using such a dirty trick!" Agatha roared furiously. She regretted it. She should have taken care of Wanda with lightning speed from the very beginning. Wanda's growth speed was too astonishing. She had never seen anyone with such a rare talent.
If she continued to drag this on, she didn't know what kind of changes would happen. She also knew that the Avengers were probably already rushing toward their location.
Just as she was hesitating about what to do, Wanda, who was in the distance, moved. Wanda suddenly reached out and pulled back. Countless crimson glows suddenly burst out from Agatha's body. These were the glows that Agatha had absorbed just now, and they were now flowing out of her. They quickly gathered back onto Wanda's body, returning to her.
"No!" Feeling the Chaos Magic constantly flowing out of her body, Agatha let out a mournful wail. To her, this was like her life was being taken away. She couldn't accept this at all. And what was even more terrifying was that even the energy she had originally had was also dissipating. If this continued, all the energy she had acquired for years would vanish.
"No..." The wrinkles on Agatha's face were trembling. A look of determination flashed in her eyes. "You're forcing my hand!"
If she didn't fight back now, she would lose everything. She would never allow that to happen. And if she could get the Phoenix Force and Chaos Magic after paying such a price, it would all be worth it. She hardened her heart and started chanting a spell.
A huge change happened around her. The black aura around her now turned into an inky black. This black seemed to be able to devour all light. And the black energy on her body was like a small needle, instantly connecting to the sky.
A terrifying power churned in the sky, and the dark clouds formed a massive vortex. Something seemed to be brewing in the vortex. This power made everyone look up.
"What is that? Is this really the end of the world?"
"I feel so much pain! I feel like I can't breathe!"
"This is too terrifying! Can humans really gain such immense power?!"
The suffocating feeling was like a huge rock pressing down on everyone's hearts. They couldn't even breathe properly.
"It's a forbidden spell!" Cassius's expression was grim. Agatha was burning her life force to forcefully break through Wanda's barrier and cast a forbidden spell!
He hadn't expected her to be so decisive. If she wanted to run away, she probably could have. This meant that Agatha was determined to take Wanda's Chaos Magic no matter what.
But it was also because Wanda was still too young. If this had been ten years later, in the state that she was in the original story, Agatha wouldn't have been able to break through her barrier even if she burned her life force.
A black pillar that seemed to split the heavens and earth shot out from the vortex, heading straight for Wanda.
"That energy fluctuation!" Wanda's face changed dramatically, and she panicked. She raised her hand and released an energy barrier to block it.
Agatha seized the opportunity and directly condensed a black greatsword and thrust it at Wanda.
Wanda didn't have time to dodge.
The moment this happened, the faces of the terrified people below turned pale. They all clenched their fists, and they could already imagine Wanda's body being pierced.
Steve and the others who were watching this also felt their hearts tighten. At this distance, it was impossible to dodge!
"Die!" Agatha let out a maniacal laugh.
But at that moment, a figure appeared out of thin air in front of Wanda. The person simply extended one finger. The moment it touched the tip of the sword... there were no ripples, and no sound.
Poof...
With a soft sound, the black greatsword instantly disintegrated and turned into a black mist.
