On the beach of Sky City Sea No. 1 Training Island Base, Leon's family had gathered: Ophelia, Hela, and of course the two extraordinary dogs, Pudding and Black Panther.
After several years, the two powerful canines—no longer ordinary dogs—finally had offspring. Perhaps it was due to the rule that higher-level life forms take longer to reproduce, but eventually, the two proud dogs had three puppies: two males and one female.
These tiny furballs were adorable, with soft fluffy coats, and although they were born with nascent abilities, these powers were not yet stabilized. In the future, they might become super-ability dogs.
The puppies were cradled in the arms of their father Li Xiang, mother Amy, and Andy. Leon, wearing a T-shirt and shorts with a whistle around his neck, stood in the middle, while the family, dressed casually in beachwear, looked like tourists enjoying a day on the sand.
Pudding and Black Panther sat loyally by their feet, radiating extraordinary presence.
Across from them, Hela, the eternal little loli Kanna with her twin ponytails, and the now thirteen-year-old Lily, stood on the shore. Kanna was still petite, with her shorts, T-shirt, and white twin-tail hair, while Lily had grown into a nearly 1.6-meter-tall girl, her slim figure perfect, face delicate and full of vitality, eyes fixed on the mature queen Hela.
The atmosphere between the two sides was tense, almost solemn.
"Okay!!" Leon blew his whistle, and a golden light ignited in Lily's eyes. The sand beneath her feet erupted as she dashed toward Hela like a cheetah, moving at near-sonic speed. The powerful shockwave carved a deep trench in the sand. Kanna followed immediately, moving with even greater swiftness, flanking Hela from the other side.
Boom!
Lily, barefoot, swung her right leg in a perfect arc, delivering a punishing kick to Hela's head. Kanna, small but coordinated, struck Hela's thigh with a precise punch.
Hela's lips curved. "Good momentum… but still slightly lacking."
Before her words fell, her left hand rose to deflect Lily's kick, and her right foot intercepted Kanna's punch. The collision was massive, shaking the mirror magic space in which the battle took place. The real Sky City remained unaffected, though the family felt every impact.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Dust filled the air as the three figures sped across the beach and toward the sea. Little Lily's microcosm blazed, propelling her leg like an unstoppable explosion. Hela casually intercepted, pushing back Lily's energy beam and colliding it with her own palm. Kanna attacked simultaneously, only to be swept up in the ensuing chaos.
Both girls fell diagonally into the sea, generating massive waves. Hela hovered above, manipulating the water into whirlpools, energy beams surging violently from the center. She faced them unflinching, even deflecting the scarlet pointer—Scorpio's ultimate technique—aimed at her back, redirecting its force into a golden aura that propelled her toward the attacker.
Bang!
The shockwave sent Lily flying back toward the beach like a cannonball, while Hela used a golden vortex to grab Kanna mid-air, tickling her until the little one surrendered in laughter.
Eventually, the mirror space dissipated, connecting back to reality. Pudding and Black Panther bounded forward, wagging their tails furiously, licking Lily's face with enthusiasm. Lily hugged them affectionately. Hela landed gracefully with Kanna in her arms.
"An impressive battle. Lily and Kanna, you're amazing!" Li Xiang praised. Amy, however, approached Lily with a more disciplinary air, lifting her by the ear.
"Mom, what are you doing?" Lily asked, half-scolded, half-protesting.
Amy shook her head. "This is the result of your training? A year wasted, your combat skills are sloppy. Look at Dean, now look at you."
Lily dared not argue, seeking help from Leon, Ophelia, and Hela—but none dared intervene. Fortunately, Leon laughed and defused the tension: "Alright, don't ruin dinner. Didn't you say you learned some new recipes? We're all looking forward to it."
Amy relented and went to prepare food. Lily, free from her mother's grasp, climbed into Leon's arms, pouting. "Brother's the best. Mom always lectures me. No mother-daughter love at all!"
Li Xiang and Leon laughed. Ophelia gently touched a small bump on Lily's forehead, removing it with a touch of green light. Lily hugged her gratefully.
Meanwhile, the family prepared the meal. Leon grilled meat, Ophelia cooked steaks and lamb chops, Hela arranged fruits, and Lily prepared seafood. Dean and Connor helped, while Pudding, Black Panther, and the three puppies ran around on the beach, learning and adapting through play.
"Lily, that's why your mom taught you a lesson. You've been playing too much this year. Your combat techniques aren't refined enough," Ophelia said, frying steaks nearby.
Despite the playful scolding, Lily's growth was extraordinary. She possessed innate abilities from birth, super-gene injections, and guidance from Leon, whose microcosm training was nearly at the eighth sense of infinite file-size universe washing. Lily's potential was among the best in the Sanctuary, alongside Dean and Kanna.
Even after less than a year of focused training, her microcosm awakened, and Leon had prepared a special gold armor for her. With continued effort, she was on the verge of breaking through the seventh sense, currently hovering at the sixth.
Amy's strictness was intentional; Lily and Dean were Leon's siblings, destined for greatness. High status required matching ability, and the family's rigorous tradition ensured no child would grow arrogant or idle.
Ophelia reinforced lessons where needed, while Leon watched quietly, letting the family hierarchy play out.
