"Wake up, Alicia. You can't be sleeping till this time." said Emily as she barged in Alicia's room and removed her blanket, revealing her as she was laying in bed and tired.
The is nothing Alicia enjoyed than sleeping. She rather stay indoors than socializing with other who hate her. Everyone hated her after she didn't get her wolf. She lost all her friends but only had one who stood by her, Emily. They have been friends since they were 10 years old.
Emily is also an orphan. She lost her mom due to cancer. Then her father rejected her and didn't want anything to do with Emily ever since she was young. Emily barely talks about her father as she has an open wound of him being a present father someone other than her.
"Can you stop, please Emily! Ahhhhhh!!!!!!! I'm gonna wake up! it's not like something special is gonna happen today or stuff. "
Alicia gets off and goes to the toilet, leaving Emily rummaging in her closet as she looks for an outfit that Alicia might wear.
"I hope you are taking a shower!" as Emily shouted at Alicia as she was busy in the toilet.
Today is Alicia's birthday since she is turning 18 years old. She doesn't like celebrating her birthday as it reminds her that she doesn't have parents. Alicia was found in the forest when she was 4 years old with only a necklace with an 'S' on it. She doesn't remember how her parents look like as she was very young.
Ever since she was young, she has been bullied. Things got worse when she turned 16 years old when she was suppose to get her wolf. She couldn't shift, which also escalated the bulling as the pack members called her all kinds of names, a weakling and an omega.
Alicia comes out of the shower with a towel wrapped around her body. She walks into her room to the mirror to try to dry her hair with a towel. But she stares at her reflection in the mirror as she recognizes changes on her hair color. She asked herself why is her hair colour changing.
"I think my hair is changing colour it was brown now, and it is turning orange...or red like. That's weird." as she stares at her reaction dumbfounded by the changes. But she couldn't think much of it as her–hair colour changed when she turned 16 from blonde to brown.
Emily stares at her as she makes a comment regarding her hair.
"Yeah, it changed the color. I thought you dyed it Alicia."
"Why would I dye it, Emily? You know I don't do that."
"But it looks nice on you. And your eyes are also changing color." Emily goes silent. And then she turns to look at Alicia with a shocked expression.
"What if you are gonna get your wolf today?"
Alicia looks at Emily. Not taking Emily seriously, she just nods her head in dismay.
"Alicia, you might get your wolf. Omg, that's rare. " as Emily said that Alicia stands up and walks towards where Emily is standing.
"I'm not gonna get my wolf. You know I don't have any! Okay, so stop this Emily. I don't wanna talk about it, "
"But I'm trying to–" Alicia cuts Emily off as she is speaking.
"To what? Console me or whatsoever. I don't care Emily. You know, whenever I have to talk about this, it hurts me so much. I'm an omega, that's it. Please let's stop talking about this. Today, I just wanna focus on finding my mate at least. That's all I want. Someone who will love me irregardless of who I am, " as Alicia holds Emily's hand.
"Okay, I understand. I picked out a dress for you. " she nods in approval.
Emily then turns and picks up the dress from the bed, a long floral sundress as she shows it to Alicia.
"This is what I want you to wear since we are going out for an ice-cream date. And it's your birthday––so do you like it?"
"Yeah, I like it." Alicia smiles, and she takes the dress.
Emily's hands Alicia the dress, and she goes to the bathroom as she fits it in and then walks in on the room to show Emily what it looks like.
"Perfect, it looks good on you. Let's go, we are gonna be late."
Alicia and Emily arrive at the towns most known ice cream shop, Candy Land it has been Alicia's favorite shop as she shares many memories with Emily. They enter the shop, then they go check in for the table they reserved as it is hard to get a table since it is the most busiest shop ever. The waitress helps them as they make their way to the table reserved for them.
"It's been a while since we had a time together. You are always busy?" as Alicia crossed her legs getting comfortable.
"Yeah, you know I'm always busy. I barely get time to myself, Alicia. But since it's your birthday I had to save time so I can be with you. And you know you are my bestfriend and a sister to me." Emily said that as she grabs Alicia's hands tightening the grip as she smiles warmly at her.
"And I'm so glad to have you in my life. Enough about me, what's happening with your life? Have you found your mate or is there any potential, maybe lucky guy? " Alicia giggles as she sips her milkshake.
"Okay, but don't tell anyone about it. My crush is Da....." as Emily is telling Alicia, who is her crush, the future Alpha of the Blackwood Pack, walks in the shop.
It was every girls dream to be mated by the Alpha. Considering the fact that they will be the Luna and they will be respected by everyone as they are considered royal.
But as the Alpha's son walks in, Alicia is hit by a scent of musky, rain, old wood smell.She felt shivers running down her spine and butterflies in her stomach. As she turns and realises it is the soon to be Alpha of the Blackwood Pack.
"No, it can't be... It is not possible–Damon can't be my mate" as she whispered to herself.
