In a dark cave a woman sat her clothes a ragged mess her breathing calm. Flames danced beside her keeping her warm, she held a sword in hand her gaze fixed at the wall, she picked up a rock and began scrambling something seriously on the wall, a closer view would reveal the markings of numbers on the wall.
A sudden strong wind blew past suddenly putting out the fire, followed closely by an ear splitting screech echoing in the cave. She rose up calmly a sigh escaping her pale lips it hadn't even been an hour since the last fight, she had been exhausted by that fight between three high ranked beasts she just wanted to rest.
The beast made it's way towards her the creature masked in the darkness so well she could only see its silhouette, the deadly beast let out a breath of fire which she avoided but her exhaustion was clear, as if noticing the beast swung something which upon touching her skin felt scales, "a tail?" She whispered in disbelief one had to know she had come across many creatures but never one with scales and a tail. But then again she could not remember much.
The tail hit her square on her ribs as she failed to dodge on time, she found her self flying several feets she hit the wall before she fell clutching tightly to her sword.
Upon the impact she knew she wouldn't survive past this one. Gathering up all her internal strength left, she struggled to get up then she waited leaning upon the wall her eyes lacking any emotions searching, her ears perked up listening and when she heard another swish of the tail she struck the direction she was attacked from.
Her slash although weak carried sent waves destroying everything about 30 feet tht direction. She layed on the ground beside the fallen beast a weak laugh escaping her lips as she spat up blood. They say when you die your life flashes before you. But you'd have to remember who you were for that to happen. She had hoped at the very least to remember who she was and why she stepped into this dangerous cave in the first place.
It had been 256 Days, from the time she could recall. But the markings on the wall said it had been more, roughly 400 days she had depended on a space bag she found on her being to surviv but even she knew it couldn't last forever she searched for an ending for weeks but never saw one. She guessed she should have had a comrade but she found none. A sigh escaped her lips as she breathe her last, if only she remembered then perhaps she would think her death less meaningless.
