Chapter 229: CGS (Part 1)

Another two months passed, and Tolle had nearly finished bringing all the pirate groups between Mars and Jupiter under his control.

By now, he commanded more than sixty assault armor warships and between three to four hundred mobile suits. The Spaceport Base had also been expanded once again.

With nothing left to do, Tolle turned to Nami and sighed. "Nami, I'm so bored. It's been five months, and there's still no sign of the story starting. Don't tell me I've messed up the plot completely. Analyze this for me—what should I do next?"

"Master," Nami replied, "how about we just go all in and buy out that private security company, CGS? Or at least buy into it.

You could use the excuse of purchasing more crops from their farm, and when the Tekkadan boys come over to help, you can strike up a conversation with Orga and the others.

Remember to bring along Masahiro—that'll help with the emotional connection.

Once you've done that, you can make CGS a subsidiary of the Spark Group, rename it Tekkadan, and let Orga run it.

If the story won't start on its own, let's create our own version of it."

Tolle tilted his head thoughtfully. "Hmm, that could work. But if we do that, Tekkadan won't have any financial troubles, so they won't need to go to Teiwaz for help.

That means the bank at Teiwaz won't send that blonde secretary, Merribit Stapleton, to Tekkadan as an accountant. She's quite the looker—it'd be a shame to lose that, wouldn't it?"

"Master, there's no need to worry about that," Nami said smoothly. "We already have a partnership with Teiwaz and the Turbines.

Once we take over Tekkadan, you can simply say that their accounting department is a mess and that you lack financial staff.

Then you can ask Naze's group for help—request a list of available accountants.

All you need to do is select Merribit from that list.

Besides, most men in your position would naturally prefer to hire a beautiful subordinate.

And based on the anime, Merribit clearly wasn't happy working at the Teiwaz Bank—otherwise, she wouldn't have accepted a post at Tekkadan. So she'll likely agree."

Tolle thought for a few seconds, then nodded decisively. "Yes, that's perfect. We'll do it your way. Let's find an opportunity to acquire CGS and establish Tekkadan ourselves."

Having made up his mind, Tolle immediately set out for the Martian Autonomous Region of Chryse with Lynn Minmay, Ange, and the others.

They drove a massive transport truck straight to the farm owned by the Griffon family.

As soon as Lynn Minmay saw the two little twin girls, she called out excitedly, "Cookie! Cracker! We've come to play with you again!"

The twins, Cookie and Cracker, ran toward her with bright smiles. "Sister Minmay! Sister Zola! Sister Ange! Coco! Miranda! And Brother Tolle! It's been so long!

How long will you be staying this time? Do you want us to be your guides again?"

Overjoyed, Lynn Minmay pulled them both into her arms, rubbing her cheeks against theirs. "Cookie, Cracker, did you miss me?"

The twins hugged her tightly and replied in unison, "We did!" ×2

Lynn Minmay pinched their soft cheeks playfully. "Good girls! This time, all our work's done, so we can stay and play with you for a while—a long while."

Tolle glanced at the nearby vegetable fields and asked the twins, "Cookie, Cracker, your crops look about ready for harvest. Has anyone placed orders yet? Sold much?"

Cookie looked at the huge transport truck behind Tolle and shook her head. "No one's ordered anything yet, Brother Tolle. Are you here to buy more?"

"That's right," Tolle said with a grin. "I even brought a truck this time to buy out your whole harvest again.

Why don't you go tell Grandma Sakura and ask your brothers to come help?"

"Okay! Thank you, Brother Tolle!" Cookie chirped. "I'll go find Grandma Sakura right now!"

Beside her, Cracker nodded eagerly. "I'll go get Biscuit and Mikazuki to help too! Please wait here a bit!"

As the two girls started running off, Tolle quickly stopped them. "Hold on—don't run off by yourselves. Let your big brothers and sisters give you a ride instead."

With that, Masahiro and four other warriors followed Tolle's directions and unloaded two motorcycles from the transport truck—one for himself, and one for Lynn Minmay.

Tolle smiled and said, "Minmay, you take Cookie to find Grandma Sakura. I'll take Cracker to find Biscuit."

"Okay, deal!" Lynn Minmay said happily.

Each of them seated one of the twin girls in front, and they rode off in different directions on their motorcycles.

Before long, Tolle and Cracker arrived at the CGS base. Several young Buy-Jue workers were busy digging trenches with shovels.

From behind Tolle, Cracker shouted, "Ride! Takaki! Have you seen Brother Biscuit and Brother Orga?"

Takaki stopped digging and turned around. "Cracker, your brother and Orga are over at the armory."

Nearby, Ride looked curiously at Tolle and asked, "Hey Cracker, who's this guy?"

Cracker puffed up proudly. "Heehee, this is Brother Tolle—the one who buys all the crops from our farm! We're here to ask my brother and the others for help."

Under Cracker's guidance, Tolle rode to the CGS armory, where Biscuit and Orga were working.

As soon as the motorcycle stopped, Cracker hopped off and ran to Biscuit, excitedly telling him about Tolle's arrival and asking for help harvesting vegetables.

Nearby, Yamagi Gilmerton, Norba Shino, and Eugene Sevenstark gathered around, intrigued by Tolle's motorcycle.

Then, a plain-looking adult soldier approached with a sycophantic smile and asked politely, "You must be Chairman Tolle Koenig of the Spark Interstellar Trade Security Group, correct?

I'm Joncas Yanke, administrator of CGS First Squad. It's an honor to meet you."

Tolle had been expecting a typical "show-off-and-put-them-in-their-place" scenario, but he hadn't expected them to already know who he was. It threw him off for a moment.

Still, it wasn't in his nature to snub a smiling face.

Guess I'm really that famous now, he thought.

With a polite smile, Tolle replied, "If there isn't another Spark Interstellar Trade Security Group around here, then yes—I'm the one you're thinking of."

The surrounding CGS members all froze, wide-eyed. Even Cracker hadn't realized who Tolle really was until that moment.
