Chapter 196: Wing Zero Gundam II
Quatre, looking both cold and slightly unhinged, replied, "I'm going to use this Wing Zero Gundam to destroy everything in this insane universe.
All weapons must be destroyed — that's my duty. The colony satellites must be armed too, right? Then I'll destroy them as well."
Tolle put on a look that was both sorrowful and angry as he said to Quatre, "What's wrong with you? This isn't like you at all."
Quatre didn't answer him directly but instead warned,
"I don't want to see any of you in front of me ever again. Otherwise, I might lose control and attack — kill you all.
Get out of here now! I told you not to come near me again!"
Then Quatre piloted the Wing Gundam to raise its twin buster rifle and fired toward the MA Vanguard Savior.
Tolle immediately accelerated to dodge the destructive beam, quickly switching to MS form and raising his beam rifle, firing several rapid shots at Wing Gundam.
Wing Zero didn't dodge or defend — it simply took the hits. The armor glowed faintly red where it was struck before the light dissipated completely.
Tolle couldn't help but sigh — that armor's way too thick! The Gundanium alloy of the Wing Gundam world was just ridiculous. Ordinary beam weapons weren't doing anything at all.
He quickly maneuvered the Savior Vanguard Gundam, deploying the twin ion beam cannons and beam cannons mounted on its back, and fired at Wing Zero.
This time, Wing Zero finally began to dodge. Seeing this, Tolle went all in — he activated his radar's multi-lock system and unleashed a "Tri-Color Six-Cannon" barrage.
Now it was Quatre's turn to flee in panic, piloting Wing Zero to dodge frantically. Even as he evaded, he split apart the twin buster rifle and flew far out of the Vanguard Savior's range.
Then, from the distance, Wing Zero began firing its buster rifles continuously, sweeping them side to side in wild arcs as it charged straight at the Vanguard Savior.
Tolle was caught off guard — this was his usual attack pattern, and now it was being turned back on him, twice as fierce.
He had no choice but to respond in kind, using the Savior Vanguard Gundam's ion beam cannons to fire continuously as well.
Four massive beams of destructive energy clashed like giant beam sabers, and the resulting energy shockwaves scattered all the surrounding debris into the void.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Heero piloted the Mercurius and charged toward Wing Zero, intending to ambush Quatre with a beam saber.
But Quatre caught him — one of the buster rifle beams swept across Mercurius, slamming it hard into the outer wall of a colony satellite.
Tolle wasn't doing much better either — his continuous firing had overheated the barrels of his ion cannons. If this kept up, he'd definitely be the one to suffer.
He couldn't help but curse the unscientific nature of Wing Zero's twin buster rifle — it fired longer than his ion cannons and didn't even seem to need cooling!
Eventually, the Vanguard Savior's ion cannons gave out first. The barrels burst apart, taking the beam cannons mounted above with them.
Just as Tolle was about to use the neo DG Cells hidden within Wing Zero's body to take control of it, a destructive beam shot toward the immobilized Mercurius, still embedded in the colony wall.
To save Heero, Trowa piloted his battered Tallgeese to block the beam with her own machine's back.
Wounded, Trowa said weakly to Quatre, "Quatre… I think you're… really wrong about this."
Quatre stared in shock at the damaged Tallgeese struck by his attack and cried out, "Trowa!"
"This battle… is meaningless…" Before Trowa could finish, Heero forced Mercurius free from the colony wall and rushed forward.
He snatched the beam cannon from the Tallgeese and, before Quatre could react, fired — blasting the twin buster rifle right out of Wing Gundam's hands.
Then Heero shouted, "Trowa, get out of your suit! The Tallgeese is about to explode!"
Trowa sat weakly in the cockpit and replied, "Yes… it ends here for me."
He quickly piloted the ruined Tallgeese away from the colony's vicinity.
Moments later, the Tallgeese exploded. Trowa's apparent death finally brought Quatre back to his senses — tears of regret streamed down his face.
But neither he nor Heero knew that Trowa hadn't actually died.
At the last second before the explosion, the neo DG Cells Tolle had installed as a precaution ejected his cockpit into space, leaving him drifting alone in the void.
Seeing Wing Zero without its twin buster rifle, Tolle lost interest. I'll leave it to Heero to finish the job — he's the one who did it originally anyway.
Tolle transformed the Vanguard Savior back into MA form and quickly left the area around the colony satellite.
Halfway through his flight, he couldn't stop thinking about Wing Zero's twin buster rifle — the more he thought about it, the more he drooled.
After pondering for a moment, he said to Nami, "Nami, build me a Gundam based on my memory of Wing Zero Snow White Prelude.
Add in every bit of technology we currently have. As for those Six Dwarf Floating Cannons, modify them using the reaction-force wing technology first.
Oh, and turn all the feathered wings into reflective magnetic drums — each one should function as an independent unit, capable of large-scale defense.
Also, stack multiple electromagnetic shields for extra safety.
And give it interchangeable backpack modules — the Snow White Prelude's weapons are far too few. That's just not enough firepower."
"Understood, Master. I guarantee success — it'll definitely meet your expectations."
