Chapter 142: Operation Meteor 1
With Nami's help, Tolle managed to secure a large sum of money, turning all those dead debts, bad loans, and odd leftover amounts from deposits and transfers into his own funds.
He then had six identity cards made—for himself, Ange, Zola, Sophia, Coco, and Miranda. After renting a presidential suite at a hotel, he brought them all out from his storage space.
Pointing toward the distant ring-shaped ground outside the window, Tolle said to them:
"Everyone, this might come a little suddenly, but we've already arrived in another world.
For the most part, the humans here are the same as in your world, and the society is also similar.
But this world is a technological one—everything here is a product of technology. They even have mechas similar to Phantom Kai, but there's no magic like in your world.
We'll be staying in this world for about a year or so. I don't know the exact time.
And actually, right now, we're in outer space. Beneath our feet is a huge, huge artificial satellite."
Tolle then activated the instant projection, displaying the full structure of the satellite before their eyes.
They were stunned—none of them had imagined a satellite could be this massive. After all, this kind of technological advancement was far beyond what they were familiar with.
After marveling for a while, Ange, still clinging to her mother Sophia, spoke with a look of impatience.
"Tolle, I don't care what this world is like. I'm not that interested. If you need me, call me. If not, send me and Mother back into the space. I want to spend more time with her."
Tolle rolled his eyes. This girl always had that same expression whenever she needed something, but once she got what she wanted, she turned indifferent and dismissive. Too cruel.
"You really don't want to go out and take a look? What about clothes and daily necessities for you and your mother?
Even if you don't care, you should think of her at least. And besides, you haven't even paid me yet. You're not planning to skip out on your debt, are you?"
Hearing that, Ange's face turned red. She had grown rather sloppy lately, but her mother couldn't live like that. So she forced herself to say:
"Fine, fine, I'll listen to you. Arrange it however you want."
Zola came over, resting her elbow on Tolle's shoulder.
"Heh, skipping out on a debt isn't right, you know. How about paying a little interest tonight?
I wouldn't mind helping you pay it back together. Besides, you could never repay the kindness Master has shown you, not even in a lifetime.
Just your mother and daughter's thousand-year lifespans aren't enough to pay him back, not to mention that he saved your mother's life.
Right, Master?"
After that, Zola gave Tolle a deep kiss, laughing as she saw the jealous, angry look on Ange's face.
"Hmph! None of this involves my mother. Tolle, just wait. Tonight, I'll pay back some of that interest myself."
Ange huffed, then sat down with Sophia, ignoring the others.
Coco and Miranda, meanwhile, were glued to Tolle, their eyes sparkling as they bombarded him with question after question, like a pair of overly curious children.
In truth, Ange was also quietly listening from the side, while Sophia looked at her daughter with gentle affection.
Tolle felt something was off. After asking Nami, he learned that Nami had directly used Humagear technology to reconstruct Sophia into a half-Humagear, half-human being, which explained how realistic her actions appeared.
After giving the group a rundown of precautions, Tolle handed each of them a high-limit credit card and took them to a nearby mall for shopping.
He sighed at how he still couldn't escape the fate of being the bag carrier and errand boy. All five women turned into shopaholics, buying all kinds of daily necessities and clothes in bulk.
Zola, in particular, bought mountains of lingerie, including plenty of erotic ones, along with an array of cosplay outfits.
Tolle immediately felt like his kidneys wouldn't be able to keep up. His constitution needed work—he wished for a skill that could strengthen his kidneys, or he'd be done for sooner or later.
Back at the hotel, he collapsed onto the bed, completely drained. Shopping with five women at once was several times more exhausting than anything else.
Even more tiring than singing an entire album's worth of songs with Lynn Minmay in a single night—and the worst part was, he had suggested it himself. Truly, he had brought this punishment upon himself.
After a short nap, he joined them again for dinner, making Coco and Miranda's eyes shine even brighter.
Compared to the lives they once led, far harsher than Ange's, their current life was like heaven itself.
In the middle of the night, Ange crept into Tolle's room and repaid some of the "interest" for saving Sophia, before sneaking back out.
After she left, Zola slipped out of the wardrobe, grinning slyly as she looked at the traces left on the bed and in the direction Ange had gone.
Tolle knew Zola was definitely plotting something with Ange. He understood this woman all too well—after all, he had disguised himself as her for quite a while once. But he didn't mind her schemes either—after all, everyone had a taste for beauty.
The next twenty days or so passed in this way. Zola even managed to succeed a few times right in front of Tolle. He had to admit the scenes were beautiful, but his kidneys were definitely running out of steam.
During the day, he still had to accompany them on shopping trips. Luckily, the warship's core space was large enough—otherwise, his own storage space would have long been overflowing.
Still, this fit perfectly with his hoarder tendencies. Rarely did he have the chance to stockpile supplies in such quantities—better to buy more, just in case. Who knew what world they'd end up in next?
Meanwhile, Nami had received word that the five Gundam pilots—Heero Yuy, Duo Maxwell, Trowa Barton, Quatre Raberba Winner, and Chang Wufei—had already obtained their Gundams.
Under the guidance of the five doctors, they prepared to resist the Earth Sphere Alliance's violent suppression and domination of the colonies.
They were planning to send the five Gundams down to Earth to crush and annihilate the Alliance forces and OZ troops, carrying out their Operation Meteor.
(Operation Meteor in full: destroy the Lagrange Point X-18999 space colony, making it fall out of orbit and crash onto Earth. Then, the five Gundams would subjugate the Earth's military forces.)
In the final few days, Tolle managed to purchase six tickets through special channels—flights scheduled for April 27, from the colony satellite to Earth. He was hoping to catch a glimpse of Relena Darlian, that true saint-like girl, and see what she really looked like.
After all, it was on this very day that she would land on Earth, even encountering Heero in the Wing Gundam along the way.
But then again, Heero in the early stages was a real battle maniac—blowing himself up at the drop of a hat and hard to deal with.
Tolle couldn't help but wonder: why were all the main characters in Japanese anime such problematic brats?
